My Paper Dolls!

Hi again!

Yesterday I shared a card with you using the new "Dress Up Hanna" set that will be released by Hanna Stamps after their release party on Monday night 2nd March. Today I have another project to share with you using this stamp set. As I have mentioned before I love paper doll stamps .... and I love this set. Isn't Hanna looking gorgeous!!!!!!

I created a magnetic paper doll set. I stamped all the images onto sheets of good white paper and after coloring my images I layered this onto thin magnet sheets and cut out all the pieces. I also decorated the tin to hold the collection of paper dolls.

Here is the inside of my paper doll tin, it isn't the greatest photo but it was the best I could get. I think you get the idea though. I made two Hanna paper dolls and stamped the dresses on plain paper as well as designer papers.

Paper: White; DP - DCWV

Hi everyone!

My card is also for this week's Hanna Stamps challenge over in the Hanna Stamps Member forum of SCS, which was to create a feminine card and include a ribbon on our card.

The designer paper used here is the new digital paper pack "Neopolitian" available from Gina K Designs.

To The Moon & Back!

Isn't this guy just adorable!!!! This is Cooper who is a regular in the Paper Pretties range of stamps. Cooper is appearing this time round in a brand new set called "I love you this much" which will be released on Sunday 1st March.

I used the PWC40 sketch challenge that Danielle issued a couple of weeks ago for my card. When I saw this set for the first time the sentiment that struck me most was the one "to the moon and back" so of course I just had to use this designer paper that has stars and moons all over it.

More Chocolate!

Hi, I am back again!!!!

If you read my post I did earlier tonight for my sketch challenge card for the SCS sketch challenge, you might remember that I said originally when I started this I was going to use the larger chocolates in the Sweets & Hearts set from Starving Artistamps. Well I hadn't just stamped them out and I also cut all the layers and put them all together before deciding that the card would be too big doing it in the format as per SCS.

Well those chocolate pieces were sitting on my desk and so was my earlier card and I decided to see it they would fit if I flipped the sketch using the same card sizes as my earlier one ... they did so I thought rather than waste those chocolate pieces I would make it into a card.

So this one is the same but different to the one I posted earlier ... I actually think I like this one better using the bigger chocolates.

Recipe:
Stamps: Sweets & Hearts - Starving Artistamps; Sentiment - Stamp It (Aust)
Paper: White; Blush Blossom, Groovy Guava & Close To Cocoa - SU; Neopolitian Digital Paper - Gina K
Other: Black Ink; Square Nestabilities; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Cocoa Brads; Foam Tape; Copics

Pretties Wednesday - The Rule of One!

Hi everyone and welcome to another Pretties Wednesday Challenge. Two weeks ago Jodi Collins challenged the Pretties girls .... the challenge is all about the Rule of One!! One layer, one image stamp, one sentiment and one embellishment!! Tough right???

You're not kidding this was tough!!!!!! I am not a fan of me creating one layer cards ... they look great when other people do them ... they just don't look great when I have to make one. And this is the second one layer card I have had to make in a month ... is someone out to get me arghhhhhhhhhhhh!

Now the tough part about this challenge other than it was a one layer card (as if that wasn't bad enough) was that we could only use the one image, the one sentiment and the one embellishment ... which is why my card is very very plan ... if I had a choice I would have added something else to this ... maybe using one of my cuttlebug embossing folders; brads; paper piecing or scoring ... something ... ANYTHING!!!! But as we weren't allowed to I didn't!!!!!

I chose Wade E Bug for my image and the sentiment is also from this set. I figured the best embellishment to use for this challenge would be the ribbon as it covered a wide space.

Here is another card I made for this challenge, this time using flirty fortunes ... I stamped the take out container onto my red card and embossed it. I then colored in the take out container with bleach, which removed the red and left white. For some reason the photo looks blurry here ... I am not sure why it looks perfect in the file I saved it??

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Pretties girls created for this challenge:
Don't forget that you only have till the 28th February to sign up for the SOTM Club to be able to receive Ballerina Sophia the month before it is released.

Chocolate!

Hi everyone!
Chocolate ... who doesn't like chocolate ha! My card today is for this week's sketch challenge over on SCS.

Wow do those images need to be small for those square because otherwise you end up with a massive card!

I used the chocolates from the Sweets & Hearts set from Starving Artistamps. I originally stamped out the larger chocolates but once I had layered these the card was going to be way to big, so I used the smaller chocolates in the set instead.

I love the new digital papers that Gina K Designs has been given away this week ... check out Gina's blog if you would like to download it.

The chocolate sentiment I used on the outside of my card is actually this who stamp that I stamped on the inside of my card. I just masked off the bottom portion when I stamped it on the front of my card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Sweets & Hearts - Starving Artistamps; Sentiment - Stamp It (Aust)
Paper: White; Blush Blossom, Groovy Guava & Close To Cocoa - SU; Neopolitian Digital Paper - Gina K
Other: Black Ink; Square Nestabilities; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Cocoa Brads; Foam Tape; Copics

I Stink You're Sweet!

Good morning everyone. It is Monday which means it is time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week our challenge was a supply challenge with Tosh supplying the items we needed to create our cards.

Tosh sent each of us the following supplies:
  • Skunk images
  • Floral designer paper
  • Black scallop ribbon
  • Packet sentiment stamps
  • Black Flourish (optional)
Tosh hates monkey images but her friend Laurie taunts her regularly, even to go as far as asking her to hold the sock monkey at CHA so she could take her pictures. Well now is the time to get her own back cause Laurie hates skunks! So Tosh asked us all to make a skunk card and send it to Laurie .... bwahahahahahahahahaha!

We had to use the skunk image, the designer paper, the black scallop ribbon and one of the sentiments from the packet of sentiment stamps to create our cards. I decided to use last week's Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge for my card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Skunk Image - Unknown; Sentiment -
Paper: White; Baja Breeze & Riding Hood Red - SU; DP - Dream Street Papers LLC (Fun&Games - Dress Up)
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Rectangle Nestabilities; Word Window Punch; Label Punch; Label Tag Die; Forest Branches Cuttlebug Embossing Folder

You're A Good Egg!

Hi everyone .... I have two things to share with you this time using the new stamps that will be released by Elzybells Art Stamps this Monday 23rd February. This time I am using stamps from 2 new stamp sets .... Eggstravagansa & Eggstravagansa Sentiments.

Eggstravagansa Sentiments contains a solid and an outline egg ... that are both plain. It also has 6 fun sentiments and two background stamps ... one of which you can see on the base panel of my card.

The Eggstravagansa set contains lots of different patterns that you can use to decorate your eggs in the Eggstravagansa Sentiment set. Some of these eggs would also work alone.

Here is a close up of my card ... I used the dots and stamps from the Eggstravagansa set to decorate the solid egg I stamped. I had planned on using different colors to create my card and then I saw the easter eggs I had to fill my Easter goody bag so of course I went with these colors instead :)

And this is my goody bag with all those yummy Easter Eggs! I used my top note die to create the topper for the back that I decorated with the solid eggs and then added the sentiment.

Recipe:
Stamps: Eggstravagansa & Eggstravagansa Sentiments - Elzybells
Paper: White; Sun Yellow; Tempting Turquoise - SU;
Other: So Saffron, Sun Yellow, Cool Caribbean & Tempting Turquoise SU Inks; Top Note Die; Tab Punch; Circle Nestabilities;

Have A Tee-rific Day!

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a tee-rific day and weekend. My card today is for last week's cupcake challenge that Taylor of Taylored Expressions hosts each Friday. I made this for a friend who had a birthday earlier in the week, she is mad about golf and each year I make her a birthday card with a golfing theme ... she more or less expects it after all this time hehe.

The last time I was shopping at a scrapbook store I found this golf theme designer paper which I decided I had to buy so I could use it for my friends card.

The image I used here is one from Impression Obsession and the sentiments are all from Clear Dollar Stamps.

Stamps: Glass - Impression Obession; Sentiments - Clear Dollar Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Green; DP - Sandylion

A Balanced Diet!

Hi everyone! Have no fear I am not going to preach to you all about having a balanced diet .... LOL!

Elzybells Art Stamps will be releasing new stamps this coming Monday 23rd February, so for the next few days I will be sharing with you some cards I have made using some of the stamps that will be available.

For my card today I used the new set called "Just Desserts" ... I just love this set! It contains two new Elzybell girls, 5 sentiments and a couple of other stamps.

When I was out with my friend earlier in the week I decided to pop into a shop that sells my favorite designer papers ... Kaiser ... well they had brand new just released papers which I just had to buy ... and this one with the table setting was one of them. Knew I needed it just didn't know why until I came home LOL! Of course when I looked at this image and the sentiment ... I thought hmmm balanced diet means table settings so this paper was perfect! I paper pieced the girls dress using the reverse side of another of the papers in the same range, I sponged around the edge of the dress using rose red SU ink to give the dress some color ... I didn't want it to be white.

Oh the layout of my card uses the sketch from this months Fan Club Gallery over on SCS.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Elzybells Design Team's blogs to see some more sneak peeks ... you can find the links to their blogs on my side bar. I will be back tomorrow with another card for you.

Tea-licious Toilet Roll Book

Hi everyone, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. A few weeks ago I spied a tutorial on Paper Jewels blog on how to create a Toilet Paper Roll book.

I thought these looked like a lot of fun and were different so I decided to give it a go. Now I know some of you will be going ewwwwwwwwww about using the rolls or tubes from toilet paper. I was about to collect them and had one on my desk when my daughter saw it. She works in Childcare and using the rolls from toilet paper is not allowed because some consider it unsanitary ... however she told me that she had some brand new rolls that they purchase just for the kids to use (hehe funny that you can just buy toilet roll paper tubes).

Being the nice daughter that she is, she brought 3 home for me to play with so I could make my book. For those of you who might want to make one of these and aren't fussed on using the tubes from toilet paper ... there is always the tubes from alfoil, plastic wraps etc that you might be able to use ... you don't want the tube too strong cause it does need to be scored flat.

For my book I used the new Chocolate Kiss digital paper designed by Stephanie Fizer which is available from MFT Stamps. I also used the new "Tea for Two" stamp set also by MFT Stamps.

Here is the first page of my book ... I kept it fairly simple just using one of the sentiments from the stamp set.

And the second page ... with another of the sentiments ... I had thought about adding something else but when I tried it I decided I preferred like it is now.

I found some tea themed quotes online and printed them out to use for my pull out tags that slip into the centre of each of the pages/tubes.

Here are all the pull out tags with all the different quotes. I know someone is likely to ask what the quotes are and I not sure if you can read them even if you click on the photo so I will add them here for you.

There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea. Henry James

A woman is like a teabag you cannot tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water. Nancy Reagan.

Teapot is on, the cups are waiting, Favorite chairs anticipating, No matter what I have to do, My friend there's always time for you!
