PP-Little-Princess-wm
Hi everyone!
It is time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge & Blog Hop. If you didn't hop onto my blog via Christi Thorsen's blog then you might want to hop back over to the very start of the blog hop which is at Christie Ortman's blog.
This week our challenge was issued by Jackie Rakoski who challenged us to Alter Something. I decided to alter a note book for this challenge. I also wanted to play with the new Paper Pretties Lady Sophia set. I thought Fleur De Lis went well with Royalty so I used the Fiskars Fleur De Lis border punch to decorate the top and bottom of the pink strip across my book and also used the fleur de lis cuttlebug embossing folder for the dark pink panel.

    Beach Babe!

    PE-Beach-Babe-wm

    Greetings everyone.

It is Pink Elephant challenge time again and this week our sponsor is “Your Next Stamp”. I have only recently discovered this stamp company and I must say they have some adorable stamps … I especially love the Fun with Fhiona range and can see I will need to spend some money there real soon hehe.

This week the challenge is a recipe challenge: Something with dots, Use a Punch(es), a Tag.

Well I decided to make my card in the form of a tag, so I got out my cricut expressions (that is now twice in two days … but you have to wait till next week to see what I made with it yesterday hehe!) to create my tag shape using the tags, bags and boxes cart. For the dots I used some yellow polka dot designer paper and my punches …. well the EK Success Beach Border Punch and the word window punch.

Don’t forget to head over to the Pink Elephant Challenge blog if you want to play along. You can also see what the other design team members created this week.

    End of Summer!

    CCEE-End-of-Summer-wm

    Hi everyone!

It is time for another challenge with my CCEE Stamper friends. This week is a Supply Challenge, as I am the hostess for this month it was my job to supply the supplies for this weeks challenge. This week I decided to do something a little different rather then posting designer papers or stamps to everyone, which is what we often do.

Digital Stamps or images (whatever you wish to call them) are becoming very popular in the stamping world so I thought that I would send everyone the same image (which I purchased 7 times) for everyone to create their cards.

I found this adorable “End of Summer” image recently while browsing the net at Mo’s Digital Pencil. She has some wonderful digital images for sale on her site. I thought the name of this one was very appropriate as it is the end of summer for many of you. Of course as it is only Spring here, I still have summer ahead of me :).

I used sketch SC246 from SCS for the layout of my card. I masked the image and then used my copic airbrush to color the grass and sky.

Don’t forget to check out the rest of our cards over on our CCEE Stampers blog which goes live at 12.00 AM.

    Recipe:

Stamps: End of Summer – Mo’s Digital Pencil

Paper: White; Pink; Purple; Lemonade DP – Basic Grey

Other: Black Ink; Moroccan Screen Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Purple Grosgrain Ribbon; Brads; Foam Tape; Copic Airbrush; Copics

    Hi everyone!

    Everyday’s A Picnic!

    PP-picnic-funfoam-wm

    Hi everyone!

It is time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge & Blog Hop. If you didn't hop onto my blog via Christi Thorsen's blog then you might want to hop back over to the very start of the blog hop which is at Christie Ortman's blog.

This week our challenge was issued by Christie Ortman who challenged us to create a card using fun foam. It is been soooooo long since I used fun foam and I only had one color which was a yellow, which didn’t look all that nice. After some thought and looking through my collection of dies I decided to cut out the fun foam using an ant die I have. After cutting out the ants I then used my copic airbrush system to color my fun foam black.

Of course what goes with ants but picnics …. so I used Paper Pretties Every Day Picnic set to create my card.

    A Couple of Pretties Cards!

    PP-Pilgrim-Thanksgiving-wm

    Hi everyone,

Here are a couple of Paper Pretties cards that I created earlier in the month for the Paper Pretties Pyjama Party challenges.

For my first card the challenge was a color one which was to use the colors: Melon Mambo; Crushed Curry & Soft Suede or colors similar to this if you didn’t have those colors.

I used the new  Paper Pretties Pilgrimage set which was released at the beginning of the month.

    pp-pulling-window-out-wm

My next card was for another challenge which was to create a card with a view, that could be a window, viewfinder card etc.

I decided to use my window & shapers note card die to create my window card … love this die! After cutting out the card shape I embossed the front of the card using a fiskars texture plate which had a brick texture, this was then airbrushed using my copic airbrush system.

    pp-pulling-window-wm

Here is the inside of my window card. I used the new Paper Pretties Pullin For You set for my card. Isn’t he a cutie!

    Recipe:

Stamps: Pilgrimage & Pullin For You – Paper Pretties

Paper: White; Rust, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry & Soft Suede

Other: Black Ink; Eyelet Border Punch; Oval Nestabilities; Grosgrain Ribbon; Modern Label Punch & Die; Sizzix Movers & Shapers Note card Die; Word Window Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

    Happiness Is A Journey!

    PE-happiness-journey-wm

    Hi everyone!

I have one more card to share with you all today, which is for this week’s Pink Elephant challenge. This week the challenge is a sketch challenge, now you know these are my favorite type of challenges hehe!

Today is also my DH’s birthday, so I decided as I needed to make him a birthday card that I should use this sketch for his card …. I didn’t need to make yet another card ... I don’t need more cards I have plenty hehe!

Anyway I finally got to use this Happiness is a Journey set …. I purchased this ages ago when it was first released but it has taken me until now to actually get it out and use it …. oops. Well he only has one birthday a year ya know LOL!

Anyway a while back I remembered seeing a card Lisa Somerville created using this set and a technique called Newsprint Faux Batik, I really liked the effect so I decided to try the technique myself.

For those who haven’t seen this technique before this is what you need to do.

    1. Stamp your bold image onto some newsprint( I created my own using my word program, but you could use old books, newspaper etc) using versamark ink.

    2. Cover with clear embossing powder and heat set.

    3. Cover the whole area with black ink, I used black brilliance for mine.

    4. Place stamped image between a sheet of folded photocopy paper. Iron over top of photocopy paper until embossing has melted and it is easy to remove the photo copy paper from the image. Trim and use image.

This was a fun technique and great to use with bold images. The only thing I would do next time is add some old paper ink over the top of my white newsprint that I created. I actually added this after ironing to tone down the white. If you were using old books or newspaper of course you wouldn’t need to do this.

PE-happiness-journeyin-wm Here is the inside of my card. I used the Martha Stewart train border punch to create the train border.

Wow I just realised, both cards I shared today I didn’t use copics on either of them ….. I always use copics LOL!

RobinWillis#8 Here is the sketch …. can’t wait to see what you do with it.

Don’t forget to head over to the Pink Elephant Challenge blog if you want to play along. You can also see what the other design team members created this week.

    Recipe:

Stamps: Happiness Is A Journey – SU; Happy Birthday - PTI

Paper: White; Blue; Crabapple Dark – Prism; DP – Unknown

Other: Black Ink; Versamark Ink; Clear EP; Blue Grosgrain Ribbon;  Foam Tape.

    Life In Full Bloom!

    ccee-flower-pot-wm

Good morning everyone and welcome to another CCEE Stampers Challenge.

It is my turn again to host the challenge this week so I decided that the challenge would be to create a Flower Pot Pocket card. You can find a fabulous tutorial on how to create one for these here.

It’s spring down here in Australia right now so I wanted to put something spring in our challenges this month and what says spring better then flowers! I have been meaning to create one of these Flower Pot Pocket cards ever since it was a technique challenge (TLC215) over on SCS. So I figured now is as good a time as any to do it and why not get the other CCEE girls making one too hehe!

I used one of the flowers from the MFT Stamps Boho Blossoms set to create my flowers. Stamping them twice on white card using pink, blue & yellow inks. I used my bone folder to curl up the petals and attached the two same colored flowers together using a gem brad. The sentiment on the inside of the card is from the Can Ya Dig It stamp set.

    ccee-flower-pot-in-wm

Here is another pic showing what the card looks like when the tag is pulled out of the flower pot. This was lots of fun to create, why not have a go too.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the CCEE Stampers creations this week. You will also find details on how you can play in this challenge.

    Recipe:

Other: Black Ink; Blue Ink; Yellow Ink; Pink Ink; Brown Ink; Blue Grosgrain Ribbon; MS Embossed Scallop Border Punch; Leaf Punch; Gem Brads; SIzzix Mini Tag Die; Foam Tape

    mft-robot-2-wm

Here is a pic of the inside of my card and the belly band I created to help keep the card closed. The majority of this card was made with the contents of the kit, the only extras I used were a little bit of black card, and orange card for my layers and belly band and of course a few punches. It was lots of fun to make.
