Dance The Night Away!

MFT-Dance-wm

Hi everybody,

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Wednesday 3rd February.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: Dance The Night Away; Clearly Sentimental About Emerson and Twisted Threesome.

For my card I have used the set “Dance The Night Away”, which was designed by Amanda Baird. To create my card I stamped my image onto Cream Perfect Paper Panels, and used my nestabilities to cut out the oval shape. I highlighted the scallops on the top and bottom of my card using Glittered Garnishes – Summer. I used just part of the sentiment for the sentiment on the front of my card.

MFT-Dance2-wm Here is the inside of my card, I stamped the “dance steps” image onto my card using red ink with the sentiment in the middle.

Don't forget! The MFT February Guest Designer Challenge - Think Spring! Your chance to win all the stamp sets for the March release and to join the design team for the March Release! You can find all the details here.

Want to see even more MFTeasers using the three sets that the Design Team are featuring today, then hop on over to Kim’s (MFT Lady) blog to see the list of which design team members will be featuring a card/project on their blog today. Kim will have the list posted to her blog at 11am EST.

    A Winter Village!

    alota-church-wm

    Hi everyone,

My card today uses one of the new stamps recently released by Alota Rubber Stamps. This one is called “Village” and was designed by one of our fellow Design Team members Birgit Edblom.

After stamp out the village I cut it out using my circle nestabilities and then masked the village so I could airbrush my sky. I used “Polar White Flower Soft” to create snow on the roofs & ground. To color I used the pastel copics markers to get a soft look.

Don’t forget that you can receive 20% discount when you order from Alota Rubber Stamps .... all you have to do is use the coupon code: FBDTCHAL when you place your order. You can use this coupon code as many times as you like throughout January.

Stamps: Village – Alota Rubber Stamps

Paper: White; Peach; DP – Heidi Grace

Be sure to leave a comment on everyone’s blog as you travel from blog to blog as each of the Riley and Company Design Team members will be given away one new Riley stamp to a random person who leaves a comment on their blog!

    sweetheart-card-wm

My projects today use the new “Sweetheart Riley” …. just in time for Valentines Day! But I think this stamp will be fabulous for so many occasions! The new stamps will be available to purchase from Riley and Company NOW!!!!!!!

For my card I decided I needed lots of hearts so I grabbed my Heart Nestabilities and used those for both the main image and the sentiment. There are even hearts on my background paper … hehe!

    Sweetheart-flowerpot-wm

Of course it is also fun to give a Valentine treat on Valentines Day so I made this cute little Flower Pot Box I discovered online recently. You can find the details on how to create this here.

After I printed the box onto red card, I added my designer paper to each panel and then also created a template so I could create my pink heart layer which matches my card. I then filled up my box with yummy heart chocolates!

    Sweetheart-flowerpot2-wm

It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge & Blog Hop. If you didn't hop onto my blog via Christi Thorsen's blog then you might want to hop back over to the very start of the blog hop which is at Christie Ortman's blog.

This week the challenge is hosted by Kristy Ketterlin. Kristy’s challenge is to create a card using the colors pink, white and one of your favorite colors. The card also must have ribbon and some sort of technique you have never tried before.

For my card I used Paper Pretties “Simply Special” stamp set. I selected red as the 3rd color to go with the pink & white we had to use as it worked well with the designer paper I wanted to use. Next technique … well it isn’t really one I haven’t tired before but it is a technique …. I airbrushed the centre portion of my sentiment tag to get a bit of color into it.

Want to play along with us

I then cut apart these pieces so I could paper piece the dress.

The sentiment on the front of my card is actually “Mmm, Mmm, Good” on the actually stamp but I wanted to be able to fit in the pie and wording on my oval punched piece so I omitted one of the Mmms … I think it still works ok.

For the inside of my card I used another of the sentiments included in the WTG “Lovin’ From the Oven” set and added the pie above my sentiment.
