Who’s That Birthday Girl????

MFT-Birthday-Girl-tier-slid
Hi again,

I have another MFTeaser to share with you today, this time using the new WTG set for this month, which is called “Who’s That Birthday Girl?” This set along with all the other stamps to be released this month will be available from MFT Stamps after the release party tonight, Wednesday 3rd March.

This is a fun set …. besides having the girl carrying the birthday cake, there are a number of different sentiments included in the set. Also birthday candles in the shape of numbers so you can create an aged birthday card for whatever age your heart desires. Normal candles to add to the cake and some more tiers for the cake.

Recently when I was checking out the new blog posts in my Google reader I came across a post by Heather Summers on how to create a Three Tier Slider Card … well as soon as I saw this it reminded me of the cake the girl is holding and of course I had to create one myself. I adapted the measurements to suit my image and stamps as hers is much smaller then mine … but they are easy enough to adapt for whatever purpose you want.

For my top photo you can see the card closed. I paper pieced both the cake and the dress. I added the candles “3” & “4” to the top of the cake. My eldest DD is turning 34 this year so I will probably give this to her.

Here is my slider card with the second tier showing. The sentiment used in the second tier is from the new “Clearly Sentimental about Birthdays” set which is another of the sets to be released tonight.

And finally here is my card with the third tier showing, see how it looks like the three tiers of the birthday cake the girl is holding!

Don’t forget to visit Kim’s blog any time after 11AM EST to get the list of which Design Team members are also featuring this set on their blogs today.
