You’re TOO Sweet!

MFT-PI-Lollypop-wm

Hi everyone,

I have another MFTeaser to share with you all today in readiness of the MFT Stamps new release to be held this coming Wednesday 2nd June.

Today the MFT Design team are featuring the “Pure Innocence” range, there will actually be three brand new Pure Innocence girls to be released … you are going to love them!!!!!!

I have used the new “PI – Lollypop Girl” and as the little girl is holding a lollypop I decided to do something different today and create a Lollypop Holder/Cover. I figured this would be a fun way to present one of those large lollypops if you wanted to give it as a gift!

MFT-PI-Lollypop2-wm

Here is the inside of my Lollypop Holder/Cover … I added one of the sentiments included in the set.The ribbon holds the lollypop in place and to close it I just pull the ribbon through the holes you can see at the top of the cover.

Would you like to see more of the new Pure Innocence sets. Then hop on over to Kim’s (MFT) blog to see the list of which design team members will be featuring a card/project on their blog today. Kim will have the list posted to her blog at 11am EST.

I will be back tomorrow with more MFTeaser’s to share with you all!

Wow, What's Up!

MFT-Wyatt-Wow-wm

Hi everybody,

It’s day 3 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Wednesday 2nd June.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: “Fred Bear has a Butterfly”; "Emma Blowing Kisses" and "Wyatt Says WOW"

For my first card I am sharing with you all today, I have used “Wyatt Says WOW”. Isn’t he just a cutie! I used a recent SFYTT sketch challenge for the layout of my card. I used the Die-namics Cloud Trio Die for the sentiments on the front and inside of this card.

MFT-Wyatt-Wow2-wm

Here is the inside of my card. Besides the sentiment I used two of MFT Stamps Die-namics Dies, the Cloud Trio and the Jumbo Scallop Die.

Stamps: Wyatt Says Wow – MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Blue; Dark Blue; Jungle Bug DP – Kaisercraft
Other: Black Ink; Long Oval Nestabilities; MFT Die-namics Cloud Trio Die; MFT Die-namics Jumbo Scallop Die; String; Foam Tape; Copics

MFT-Emma-SWAK-wm

For my second card I used “Emma Blowing Kisses”, another cutie!!!! The little tags under the bow spell “SWAK” & “MWAH”, unfortunately you can’t see the last letters in the photo but you can in real life. I used the MFT Die-namic Jumbo Scallop Die to create my scallop border at the top. The dress and jacket are both paper pieced using the designer paper I used on the card.

MFT-Emma-SWAK2-wm

And here is the inside of my card. I stamps Emma again in the lower right corner of my card and created a scallop border using my Die-namics Scallop Jumbo Die. The sentiments and tiny heart are also included in the set.

Being Saturday it is also time for another challenge over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week it is my turn to host the challenge. I have been having fun creating tent cards lately, so I thought this might make a fun challenge. You can find a tutorial on how to create these on the Just Magnolia Blog.

MFT-Baby-Makes-3a-wm

For my tent card I used MFT Stamps new “Baby Makes Three” set … this is such an adorable set and just in time for the birth of my first Grandchild .... William! I colored in the chicks to match the designer paper I used on my card.

MFT-Baby-Makes-3-wm

Here is another view of my tent card … these are such fun and easy to make.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

MFT-Baby-Makes-3-Bag2-wm

A Very Merry Un-Birthday To You!

MFT-Unbirthday-wm

Hi all,

Today starts the beginning of the MFTeasers of the new stamps and products that are to be released by MFT Stamps next Wednesday 2nd June.

The MFT Stamps Design Team are sharing with you all today the new Die-namic Dies that are to be released.

dienamicslogoSMALL_thumb

MFT-Unbirthday2-wm

Unfortunately being that my dies have a little longer to travel then most of the Design Team I haven’t been able to use the new ones on my card today, however I did use two from last months release which are MFT Die-namics Cloud Trio Die & MFT Die-namics Scalloped Scallop Die. I used My Favorite Felt - Outdoor Essentials felt pack to die cut both the grass area and the clouds to create my scene.

I have wanted to create an circle easel card for sometime now and finally got around to making one. These are so much fun to make, the stamp set used here is from the new Costumes of Wonderland stamp set that was released a couple of weeks ago.

MFT-Unbirthday3-wm

Here is a close up for the outside of my card. I used the green felt from the My Favorite Felt - Outdoor Essentials to create the grass. I first cut the size I wanted using my circle nestabilities and then die cut the top of the piece I cut with the Scalloped Scallop die.

The clouds were cut using the white felt which is also included in the My Favorite Felt - Outdoor Essentials pack.

MFT-Unbirthday4-wm

Here is a better view of what the inside of my card looks like. This sentiment is perfect for all sorts of occasions!

So are you ready to see which dies are being released on Wednesday ….. I know I am excited with them all!

DieNamicsReCreationsGrosgrain Die-namics Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board

Our revolutionary Ribbon RE:Creations Grosgrain Texture Board is designed to exactly mimic grosgrain ribbon. When used after cutting a Jumbo Ric Rac Shape, your paper project will look as if you’ve adorned it with expensive jumbo ric rac! The effect is subtle, but feels and looks just like fabric ribbon!

DieNamicsRicrac Die-namics Jumbo Ric Rac

Jumbo Ric Rac is 6" long and 1 ½" wide and is the first 1 ½" ric rac die on the market.

DieNamicsSunshine Die-namics Sunshine

Sunshine is a two piece die, with an outer sunray die (2") and an inner circle (.875") for layering if desired.

DieNamicsFreshCutGrass Die-namics Fresh Cut Grass

Fresh Cut Grass measures 6" long and ¾" high at the tallest grass blade. There are several small poke holes on the bottom of the die which is designed to allow for easy removal of paper once it’s cut. You simply poke the hole with a toothpick, and your paper magically pops out. I would hesitate to use a pin as it might pierce through the paper.

If you would like to see what the other Design Team members have created then hop on over to Kim’s (MFT Lady) blog to see the list of which design team members will be featuring a card/project on their blog today. Kim will have the list posted to her blog at 11am EST. Also check out the Die-namic Gallery over on SCS throughout the week for more inspiration.

I will be back tomorrow with another MFTeaser for you all!

Stamps: Costumes of Wonderland – MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Yellow; Peachy Keen DP – Kaisercraft
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; MFT Die-namics Scalloped Scallop Die; MFT Die-namics Cloud Trio Die; My Favorite Felt - Outdoor Essentials; Modern Label Tag Punch & Die; Foam Tape; Copics

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge & Blog Hop. If you didn't hop onto my blog via Jackie Rakoski's blog then you might want to hop back over to the very start of the blog hop which is at Christie Ortman blog.

This week the challenge is hosted by Jackie Rakoski, who challenged us to a color challenge …  the colors being red, kraft & green.

The stamps the design team are using on our card/projects this week are “Right On Par” and “Coffee Cool” . Both these stamps sets are available for sale this week at 35% off the normal price.

Want to play along with us

How to Enter: Create a card/project using the challenge above and any Paper Pretties stamp set(s) you have. Upload your project to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges category and use keyword PWC105.

Quilting Bee!

ALota-Sew-Special-wm

Hi everyone,

My card today uses one of the new stamps that was released by Alota Rubber Stamps last week. This stamp is called “Quilting Bee” … I know a few quilting friends who would enjoy this card *smile*

After stamping my image onto my card, I colored the quilt in pink & red and then went back over the red panels and added dots using a white gel pen. I also added paper piercing to the top corners of my image panel.

Alota-Sew-Special2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, this “Sew… What’s New?” sentiment used here is actually an older stamp from Alota Rubber stamps but I thought it was so right to go with this card.

Paper: White; Pink; Red; DP – Basic Grey
Other: Black Ink; Pink Brads; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Oval Punches; MS Optic Dot Border Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

Scherenschnitte Silhouette Technique

Scherenschnitte-silhouette-

Hi everyone and happy Sunday!

My card today is a card I created for a project at a club I attend with a few friends each month. This is a technique based project using the “Scherenschnitte Silhouette Stamping” technique. You can find a tutorial on this over on the Resource section of SCS.

To create my card I stamped the image onto black paper using clear embossing ink and then embossed with gold embossing powder. You can use any color powder because you won’t see it but gold helps you to see the image that you need to cut out more clearly.

Once I had embossed my image, I then cut out my design cutting close to the edge …. again it doesn’t matter if you cut into the embossing powder because you won’t see it.

To attach your image to your card you apply adhesive to the embossed part of the image and attach it to your card embossed side down. My first attempt at this I actually applied my glue to the black side as we are so used to adhering to the back of the image not the front … so of course I had to stamp and cut out another flower … arghhhhhhhh! Oh well lesson learnt and I made sure I did it correctly the second time, even asking the girl next to me to watch me and yell if I started applying glue to the wrong part hehe!

Stamps: Inspired By Nature; Upsy Daisy – SU
Paper: White; Black; Red
Other: Black Ink; Versamark Ink; Gold EP; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Black Button

Baby Boy!

CCEE1020-BabyBoy3-wm

Hi everyone,

Over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog we are continuing our celebration of Mothers & Babies! We have already celebrated Mothers earlier in the month by creating Mother's Day cards ... so now it is time to celebrate Babies!

The challenge today is to create a Baby card ..... easy enough!

CCEE1020-BabyBoy-wm

I fell in love with this “New Baby” digi image from KLM Designs as soon as I saw it. I have been wanting to use it on a card for sometime now, so this challenge was the perfect opportunity to use it.

The layout of my card is based on Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge (MTSC73) from last week.

CCEE1020-BabyBoy2-wm

As you can see, I turned my card into an Easel card. It has been a while since I made one of these and I love that you can see both the inside and outside of the card at the one time. Most of the Easel cards I have made so far seemed to have turned out to be square so this is the first non square one I have made …. not sure why it took me so long but there you go.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: New Baby Digi Stamp – KLM Designs; Baby Boy – Fiskars; Sentiment – Fern Gully Stamps
Paper: White; Brown; Sage; DP
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Long Rectangles Nestabilities; Brown Candy Dots; Button; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Oval Punch; Foam Tape; Copics
