To A Super Kid!

MFT-SuperBoy-Duo-wm

Hi all!

It’s Thursday which means it is time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month we have a new hostess which is Mwah!!!! Me!!!!!

For out challenges this month I have taken my inspiration from the “September Holidays and Special Days” site. September is “Read A New Book” month. Of course most of us can’t read a whole book in one sitting so we need something to mark our place so we know where we left off. So this week our challenge is to create a bookmark!

For my book I decided to create a corner book mark, you can find a tutorial on how to create these over in the resource section of SCS. I used the new MFT Stamps PI – Super Boy stamp set which was released a few hours ago …. isn’t he just super duper cute!!!!!!!

Here is a close up of my bookmark. The border along the bottom edge of my bookmark was created using MFT Die-namic Small Scallop Border Die.

So I couldn’t stop at just the bookmark, I decided to make a card to match. The sentiments in this set are all mix and match so each of the words/phrases on each of the different banners here are individual stamps which makes it easy to create your greeting to suit your needs.

The banner was created using the Die-namics Banner Day die.

Here is the inside of my card. The inverted scallops used on both the triangle panels is just created using the negative piece from the small scallop border.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: PI – Super Boy – MFT Stamps
Paper: White; Blue; Red; DP – The Digi Chick
Die-namics: Small Scallop Border; Banner Day Die
Other: Black Ink; Oval Nestabilities; Red Divine Twine; Foam Tape; Copics
