Spin Me!

MFT-Naughty-Nice-wm

Hi everybody,

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Wednesday 3rd November.

Today the Design Team are featuring two the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: “You Spin Me Additions” and Happy Thoughts.

For my card I decided to use the new You Spin Me Additions set, this set co-ordinates with Game Night Spinner Die & stamp set that were released last month.  The die-namics used on this card include the new Small Open Scallop Die; Game Night Spinner Die and the Snowflake Trio Die.

The Game Night Spinner Die was cut from both red card for the frame and silver glitter card for the spinner.

Just Chillin’

MFT-Just-Chillin-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s that time again when the MFT Stamps designs team begins showing our MFTeasers in preparation of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party this coming Wednesday 3rd November.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamps to be released. These are “ Mini Banner Day Alphabet”; “Pure Innocence - Wyatt – Just Chillin’ ” and “Pure Innocence - Emma Celebrates The Season”.

For my card today I used Wyatt – Just Chillin’, isn’t he such a cutie!! The layout of my card is based on a recent Mojo Sketch (Mojo161). I also used the Snowflake Trio Die-namics die to create the snowflake in the top right hand corner of my card.  I used both white glitter card and blue card to create my snowflakes.

Heroes Only!

Batman-Trio-wm

Hi everyone

This is a pretty long post today as I went a little bit overboard when I started playing with the Batman Cricut Cartridge that I purchased recently so I could make my daughter a birthday card.

It’s her birthday today as it goes so I also decided to combine her card with this week’s challenge I do with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

This week our challenge hostess for October Silke Ledlow has finished off the month with a fun sketch challenge.

Batman-wm

My youngest daughter loves Batman and other Super Heroes from the DC Comic line, so I have been wanting to purchase this cricut cart since it came out a while back … her birthday coming up was a great incentive. I am sure it will also come in handy down the track for my Grandson … his Aunt is already making sure he likes the right Super Heroes LOL!

Here is the inside of my card.

C4C61-Oct-Sketch Here is Silke’s wonderful sketch if you want to play along with us this week. You will find more details on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

BatmanHanger-wm

After I had made my card I decided to play around with a couple of the other things on the cartridge just for fun. First up this fun door hanger. The hanger itself is from the Batman cartridge and the both sentiments on it are from the Superman cartridge. Both cartridges had the Do No Enter but only Superman had the Heroes sentiment which I wanted to use. BatmanHanger2-wm Here is the reverse side of my hanger.

Batman3Dfront-wm

As you can see I also decided to make this Batman 3D character. This was cut at 7.5 inches so I could get it out of an A4 sized card. This was a little time consuming but I like the end results so was worth the effort.

A Merry Christmas Present!

SU-PopUp-Parcel-wm

Hi all,

My card is for a shoebox swap that I did last week with a few friends. It is a stamp club I attend each month. This worked so well for the previous shoebox swap I did recently that I decided to use the same layout but just changed the stamps.

This card is a Pull Up Parcel Card, I am loving creating these cards.

Here you can see the pull out card beside the outer card … the top of the parcel is attached to the inner card and just pulls out.

Christmas Is Love!

SBS-Jane-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week Shirley has finished off her challenges for the month with a CAS card…. we could use embossing folders or background stamps it we wanted to.

Well recently I did a shoebox swap with a stamp club I belong to and one of the cards I made was this one … well it is CAS so I decided to use this for the challenge. The original design for this card was created by club member Jane Norrish.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Merry Christmas!

PWC125-Square-wm

Hi everyone!

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog. This week the challenge is to create a square card. Well lots of the cards I make are square so this was an easy peasy challenge!

With Christmas just two months away (sorry if I am reminding you again LOL) I decided to create another Christmas card. This time round I used the newly released Holiday Polly stamp set … I just love this bird! Pam Varnell recently created a card using this set and colored her bird blue, now blue is my favorite color and I loved the look so I decided to color my bird blue this time round too.

PWC125-Square2-wm

Here is the inside of my card, the sentiment I used here is from another Paper Pretties stamp set called O Christmas Tree.

Want to play along with us:

How to Enter: If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project using the above challenge and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword PWC125.

Don’t forget to include link to your card on the Paper Pretties Blog, so everyone can see it too. You don’t have to use Paper Pretties stamps to play, but of course if you have them we would love to see you use them. Howdy!

Howdy1-wm

Hi everyone,

Recently at a stamp club I belong to, our project for the month was to create a Never Ending card. It has been years since I have created one of these so it was fun to revisit this technique.

I used two of my favorite sets from The Cat’s Pyjama to decorate my card. The photo above shows the front of my card.

Howdy2-wm

This is such a magical type of card, when you open up the card you come to this layout.

Howdy3-wm

Here is what it looks like when you fold it the 3rd time.

Howdy4-wm

And finally the last page … when you fold these panels it will take you back to the front of the card where you can start folding ago …  it’s lots of fun folding and folding it hehe!

A Blue Christmas!

SU-Christmas-Trish-wm

Hi everyone!

Happy Sunday, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. It’s a beautiful day here!

On Friday one of the stamp clubs I go to each month had a shoebox swap. They had heard about the other one I did a month or two ago and wanted to done one too.

Anyway one of the cards I got to make on Friday from the shoebox swap was this one above which was designed by Trish. Blue is my favorite color, so how could I not love this card. The Christmas ornament is stamped twice once with light blue and once in navy and a circle is cut from the navy ornament and the two are layered together … cool effect ha!

I will share the other cards we made over the next couple of months when I have a few holes in my blogging calendar.

Trick Or Treat!

C4C61TestTubes-wm

Hi everyone,

I love Saturday’s because it means it is time for another challenge with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.

Our challenge hostess Silke Ledlow has challenged us to create Halloween card or treat project. As you can see I opted for the later …. a treat project.

C4C61TestTubes2-wm I have been wanting to make a test tube holder project for ages and this challenge seemed like a great opportunity to finally get around to it.

I found this fun image on the Bugaboo site recently … it is part of their Har Pot collection and this one is called The Chosen One. Of course being a Harry Potter fan I couldn’t resist them and just had to play with this one.

What’s The Buzz!

MFT-HoneyBeeDuo-wm

Hi everyone,

A couple of months ago I shared with you all my project using this cute PI – Honey Bee stamp set from MFT Stamps. Well the great news is that my Beehive Template is now available for sale through MFT Stamps.

It has been given to a graphic designer who tidied it up a bit and tweaked it a little so that it works perfectly when you cut it out. When you purchase the template you get the following file formats so you can use it with the machine that you have:

  • PDF: traditional print & cut version.
  • SVG: for use with the Cricut Expression and Make The Cut or Sure Cuts a Lot software
  • Ai & DXF: for use with Wishblade, Pazzles, and KNK machines
  • GSD: for use with the Silhouette

Cindy Haffner has also been playing with this template and I can’t wait for you to see what she has come up with, she will be posting her project later today so check it out. This template is not limited to just beehives!

MFT-Honey-Bee-wm

The template contains files to create both the beehive shaped card and the beehive box. For my card and box I created today I cut the base layer out of black card and then cut the beehive shingles out of yellow and layered them over the black base.

To finish off my beehive card I added the cute PI – Honey Bee on the left side and also used the following Die-namic dies:

  • Flower Trio & Leaf Trio
  • Grass Border

Here is the inside of my beehive card. I stamped the sentiment onto yellow card that I cut using the MFT Stamps Die-namics Framed Greeting Die.
