Felt Stocking2 wm

Today I have lots of Die-namics goodness to share with you, I just couldn’t stop playing with all the fun new Die-namics being released this month. I am sure you will love them too!

Felt Stocking3 wm

For my first project I decided to use the Die-namics Jumbo Christmas Stocking to make a couple of felt Christmas ornaments. I used Wild Cherry Felt, Jellybean Green Felt, Sweet Tooth Felt and Paver Red Felt to create my felt stockings. I hand stitched around the edge of each stocking (don’t look too closely at my stitching I am a stamper not a sewer hehe). I added a felt loop so the stocking can be hang on the tree. I also used the Die-namics High Rise Alphabet to add the ‘number 25’ to each stocking.

I have only made two felt stockings to hang on my tree, but I could see these making great advent calendars too.

Stocking Box wm

For my second project today I used the Die-namics Jumbo Christmas Stocking to create a Christmas Stocking box.

Now if you look at my box you will notice it is the mirror image of the die. As this box involves using two stockings (one for each side of the box and designer paper. To cut the designer paper you need to cut one as you would normally with the designer paper facing the die and the second one with the designer paper facing away from the die so that it can be applied to the back of the box. (Hope that makes sense)

Stocking Box2 wm

The base of my box used Paver Red Cardstock and the white piece at the top is Sweet Tooth Cardstock.

For the box portion of my Christmas Stocking Box I cut a piece of Paver Red cardstock 4 1/4 inches x 8 1/2 inches. Score on the 4 1/4 inch side at 1 inch either side. Score on the 8 1/2 inch side at 3 3/4 inches either side.  I have created a template below to help you with measurements.

Calendar Cover2013 wm

For my third project I created a cover page for the calendar that I started and shared with you last Thursday. I probably don’t need a cover page but if you are giving a calendar as a gift it finishes the calendar off nicely.

I used Blu Raspberry Cardstock and Whip Cream Cardstock for this page of my calendar.  The 2013 was created using the Die-namics High Rise Numbers set, this was layered onto the second largest tag in the Die-namics Decorative Circle Tag Stax. Along each side of the designer paper I used the Die-namics Postage Stamp Edge.

On the top of the tag I added a bow using the Die-namics Dainty Bows. I added a  Blu Raspberry Button to the top of my bow topped off with Hemp Cord.

Snowflake Ornament wm

For my final project I used the Die-namics Jumbo Snowflake to create a 3D Snowflake Ornament.

Snowflake Ornament2 wm

To create my snowflake ornament I die cut 5 Jumbo snowflake shapes from glittery card. Folded each in half and attached each half to the half of another snowflake. I threaded thin ribbon through the centre of the snowflake as a hanger and added a tiny bell at the bottom.
