MFT-MNis-Dad-wm

Hi everyone,

Welcome to day 2 of the MFTeasers in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this month. The new products will be available on April 9th at 10 PM in the MFT Boutique.

Be sure to head on over to the MFT Stamps Blog so you can find all the release details, prize information, and inspiration about this release.

Today I am  featuring the new Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set.

You don’t have to be a scrapbooker to find lots of uses for this stamp set as I discovered while playing with it to create the 5 cards/projects I have created for this blog post today.

MFT-MNis-Dad-wm

For my first card I used the “Hello My Name Is” stamp included in the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set to create the background on my card. I used Kraft Card for the base and used Kraft Ink to stamp the image over the card diagonally. Then I used the “Awesome” word stamp also included in this stamp set and added that in the area where a name would go.

For the layout of my card I selected on of the layouts for the Die-namics Blueprints 2 set, I am loving being able to use these new Blueprint sets to create fun cards. I have combined the larger rectangle die from the Die-namics Blueprints 1 set with the Die-namics Blueprints 2 set so I could get the 3 different layers I normally like to have on my cards.

The other color cards I have used on this card are Hot Fudge card and the new Factory Green card which is also being release on Tuesday.

On the thin panel on the top left hand side of my card I have stamped one of the borders from the new Laina Lamb Design – Border It – Mod Borders stamp set (I am loving these border stamps).

MFT-MNis-Dad2-wm

Here is the  inside of my card. I have used the border again from the Laina Lamb Design – Border It – Mod Borders stamp set along the bottom of my card. I have used the ovals from the Die-namics Blueprints 2 set for my sentiment.

The sentiment has been stamped using Black Licorice ink. The word “Awesome” is from the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set and the word “Dad” is from the Masculine Graphic Tee stamp set.

Stamps: LLD Document It Hello My Name is; Masculine Graphic Tee; LLD Border It Mod Borders – MFT Stamps
Paper: Kraft; Hot Fudge; Smooth White; Factory Green – MFT Stamps
Die-namics: Blueprints 2; Blueprints 1- MFT Stamps
Other: Black Licorice Ink (MFT); Kraft Ink (MFT); Foam Tape

MFT-MNis-Evi-wm

For my second card today I have used the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set to create a Baby card for my new Grand Niece Evi who was born at the end of March.

For this card I used Smooth White card, Pink Lemonade Card and Razzle Berry card. I have stamped the “Name Tag” image onto Smooth White card using Pink Lemonade ink, I then die cut the letters “E” “V” & “I” from  Razzle Berry card using the new Die-namics Bottom Line Alphabet set.

For the background on the base of my card I have used the Laina Lamb Design – Border It – Mod Borders stamp set and used Pink Lemonade ink and Razzle Berry Ink. Hint: If you start stamping the background in the centre of your card, you will not have to clean off your stamps as often as you can stamp on either side of the last color you stamped before changing to the next color.

I added the “Welcome Baby” sentiment which is from the Baby Onesie stamp set and the Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX and Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layers STAX .

To  finish off the front of my card I added a Pink Lemonade Ribbon Bow which has been topped off with a Razzle Berry Button and Hemp Cord.

For the inside of my card I die cut the Die-namics Baby Onesie from Pink Lemonade Card and added the sentiment from the Baby Onesie stamp set which has been stamped using Razzle Berry Ink.

Stamps: LLD Document It Hello My Name is; Baby Onesie; LLD Border It Mod Borders – MFT Stamps
Paper: Smooth White; Pink Lemonade; Razzle Berry – MFT Stamps
Die-namics: Fishtail Flags Stax; Fishtail Flags Layers Stax; Baby Onesie; Bottom Line Alphabet – MFT Stamps
Other: Pink Lemonade Ink (MFT); Razzle Berry Ink (MFT); Pink Lemonade Ribbon; Razzle Berry Button; Hemp Cord; Foam Tape

For my third card today I have used a couple of the sentiments from the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set along with the Laina Lamb Design – Border It – Mod Borders stamp set.

I stamped the borders onto Smooth White card using Blu Raspberry Ink and Lemon drop ink. The sentiment “Awesome” was stamped using Black Licorice Ink. The stars at the top of the card are also included in the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set.

This was then layered with Lemon Drop card and Blu Raspberry card

Here is the inside of my card. The “Fun” word and stars are also from the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set. The “Keepin’ It” sentiment is from the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Expand Your View stamp set.

Stamps: LLD Document It Hello My Name Is; LLD Border It Mod Borders; LLD Document It Expand Your View – MFT Stamps
Paper: Smooth White; Lemon Drop; Blu Raspberry – MFT Stamps
Other: Black Licorice Ink (MFT); Lemon Drop Ink (MFT); Blu Raspberry Ink (MFT); Foam Tape

For my next project today I created a name tag for my dog using shrink plastic and the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set.. This same idea could be used for dog tags, key tags, luggage tags etc.

The name Buttons where stamped using the alphabet stamps from the Vanity License Plate stamp set. MFT Stamps have a number of different Alphabet Stamp sets and Die-namics sets which would work with the name tag depending on your needs.

MFT-MNisButtons-2-wm

Here you can see my finished dog tag and beside it on the left the tag before it was shrunk.

For my dog tag I decided to use Almond Shrink plastic. The first thing you need to do if you are using shrink plastic is to sand it in both directions to help the inks adhere. You also need to use an ink which will be permanent once it is shrunk, for my tag I used Brilliance inks. Also make sure you punch your holes if you need to BEFORE you shrink your tag and remember that your hole will also shrink along with the tag.

I used my heat gun to shrink my tag, to help it not to fly away while I was shrinking it I placed my pricking too into the hole and then flatted it with a clear block when it had finished shrinking.

Stamps: LLD Document It Hello My Name Is; Vanity License Plate – MFT Stamps
Other: Black Brilliance Ink; Pearlescent Rust Brilliance Ink; Almond Shrink Plastic

For my final project for today I used the Laina Lamb Design – Document It – Hello My Name Is stamp set to create a place card holder which also serves to hold the cutlery and napkin.

To create this I stamped the name tag onto the new Factory Green card which is being released on Tuesday, loving this new color to the MFT Replenishments range. I used the new Hot Fudge ink pad to stamp this onto my card.

For the name I used Kraft card and the new Die-namics Bottom Line Alphabet set, I love the fun shape of the letters in this set. Of course MFT Stamps has a number of Alphabet Die-namics and Stamp sets which could also be used to add the name you need. Or you could die cut your letters from shrink plastic and shrink them if you have longer names you want to fit into this space. I also used Kraft Ink around the edges of each letter once die cut.

MFT-MNis-Rob2-wm

To hold up the place card and also hold the cutlery and napkin I attached the name tag to the new Die-namics Scallop Treat Box which is the perfect size to go with the name tag.

MFT-MNis-Rob3-wm

Here is a view of the rear of my place card so you can see the Die-namics Scalloped Treat Box and how it is placed at the back of the name tag to hold the cutlery and napkin and also to help keep the place card upright.

Stamps: LLD Document It Hello My Name Is – MFT Stamps
Paper: Factory Green; Kraft – MFT Stamps
Die-namics: Scalloped Treat Box; Bottom Line Alphabet – MFT Stamps
Other: Hot Fudge Ink (MFT); Kraft Ink (MFT); Foam Tape

Here are the MFT products that I used on my projects today. Please note that the links to any of the new release products won’t work until they are released by MFT Stamps on the 9th April.
