MFTeaser Day 2

MFT-Blooming-Roses-wm

Hi everyone,

Welcome to day 2 of the MFTeasers in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this month. The new products will be available on Tuesday 11th June at 10 PM in the MFT Boutique.

It’s also challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. And this week our challenge hostess Shirley Quarry has challenged us to use the Direct to Paper Technique on our cards.

For my card today I am playing with Mona Pendleton Design Blooming Roses and the Mona Pendleton Rose Bouquet Die-namics.

To create my card I started with Smooth White card stock for the base. To decorate the front of my card I used the MPD Graduated Hexagons Stencils using my Pink Lemonade Ink pad directly onto my card through the stencil.

For the rose I used the Mona Pendleton Design Blooming Roses and the Mona Pendleton Rose Bouquet Die-namics. This stamp uses a two step stamping technique to create the flower. I used Red Hot ink and then Electric Red ink for the flower and Gumdrop Green ink for the leaves.

The sentiment from the LJD Blissful Butterflies stamp set is stamped on the right side of my card using Black Licorice ink.

For the two pieces under the sentiment I used the Washi Tape Die-namics and Washi Tape Patterns Stamp set to create my own faux washi tape … love this idea!!!!!!!

For the inside of my card I created another two faux washi tape pieces using the Washi Tape Die-namics and Washi Tape Patterns Stamp set. I also stamped another of the sentiments from the LJD Blissful Butterflies stamp set.

Here are the MFT products I used on my card today. Please note the links to the new products won’t work until  they are released by MFT Stamps on the 11th June.

Love this! I never would have put a bright red rose on a pale pink background, but it sings! Great mix of patterns, too!
