Tea Time!

Teatime-PushPull-wm

Hi everyone,

My card today is a variation of a Sliding Pop Up Box card I posted recently. Eunice who is the owner of the blog A Star for Chemi where I found the instructions for my original posted a couple of cards using this variation back in August and of course I had to try it too.

Apparently this type of card is also know as a Push Pull card. For my card I used La La Land Crafts Tea Time Marci and Tea Time Set.

If you pull on the tabs on the side of the card it will fold flat so it can be mailed.

Season’s Greetings

PNC-ChristmasHouse1-wm

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a Pop N Cuts card using some of the dies etc from Karen Burniston’s new Snippets range which has just been released.

PNC-ChristmasHouse2-wm

For my card today I have used the Sizzix Pop N Cuts A2 card base with the new Sizzix Pop N Cuts House Insert and Sizzix House Thinlits. I am loving this house insert/thinlits I can think of so many occasions this can be used for.

PNC-ChristmasHouse4-wm

Here is a close up of the house … I added the texture to the house by running the house thinlit through my big shot again using my impression pad and silicon rubber mat.

PNC-ChristmasHouse5-wm

For the sentiment I used the Sizzix Sassy Labels & Stitched Frames Framelits set … the stitching is a separate die so you have the option of creating your label with stitching or not.

I also added a border at the top and bottom of the card which is from the Sizzix Banners & Borders Thinlits set.

PNC-ChristmasHouse3-wm

And one last look at the inside of my card this time at an angle.

Here is the front of my card. I used the new swirls embossing folder which is from the new Sizzix Trellis & Swirls Embossing Folder set. The border and the fishtail tag for the sentiment are from the Sizzix Banners & Borders Thinlits set.

Stamps: Clearly Sentimental About Christmas; Seasonal Sentiments – MFT Stamps

Fairy Merry Christmas

C4C205FairyChristmas-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess for September Cindy Haffner finishes off the month with another fun challenge.

This week Cindy has challenged us to Bows … use bows on your card/project this week.

C4C205FairyChristmas2-wm

For my card this week I have made a Gatefold card creating an opening on the front of the card using an ornament die. The image is a cute Christmas Fairy I received free with a magazine and is from Tiddly Ink.

My bow is a paper bow created using a die from MFT. I also added die cut Christmas Trees (Taylored Expressions) and Pine Branches (Impression Obsession).

C4C205FairyChristmas3-wm

Here is the inside of my card. The Fairy is mounted using the same ornament die used to cut the hole from the front of my card. I added some pieces of holly to the top of the card and ornaments on each flap. The ornament on the left has the sentiment the other is blank so I can write my message on it to whoever this is to go to.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: Holly Jolly Stamp Set – Tiddly Inks
Paper: White; Burgundy; Olive; DP
Other: Black Ink; Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornament; Spellbinders Holiday Tags; Impression Obsession Pine Branch; MFT Die-namics Beautiful Bows; PTI Holly Jolly Die; Taylored Expressions Trim The Tree Die; Rhinestones; Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Wishing You Happiness!

HappinessPopNCuts1-wm

Hi everyone,

As you can see I have another Pop Up card to share with you today using Karen Burniston Sizzix Pop N Cuts Dies. This card uses the Sizzix Pop N Cuts Square card with Ornate Edge and the Sizzix Circle Label insert.

HappinessPopNCuts2-wm

This card was inspired because of the bridge you can see behind the girl (Marci with Lantern). I was originally going to put this on the front of a card and then I decided it would go better as a pop up which of course it does Smile.  Both the bridge and Marci are from La La Land Crafts.

HappinessPopNCuts3-wm

The mountains in the background were created using Taylored Expressions Build a Scene Mountain Tops die. The sun is a really old original die from Sizzix I have had forever!!!!!

HappinessPopNCuts-wm

Here is the front of my card. I have kept this fairly simple as the focus is on the inside.

Stamps: Marci with Lantern – La La Land Crafts; HB #5 – Eccentricks
Paper: White; Bright Pink; Pink; All About A Boy DP – Echo Park; Sweet Girl DP – Echo Park
Other: Black Ink; Sizzix Pop N Cuts Square Card with Ornate Edge; Sizzix Pop N Cuts Circle Label Insert; Sizzix Sun #2; La La Land Crafts Bridge Die; Taylored Expressions Build a Scene Mountain Tops Die; MFT Die-namics Snow Drift; MFT Die-namics Dotted Scallop Border; MFT Die-namics Flower Trio; Oval Nestabilities; Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two; Foam Tape; Copics

Love You to the Core!

CCEE1339-AppleHM2-wm
Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lois Bak our challenge hostess for September continues to bring us fun challenges.
Today is Johnny Appleseed Day. Let’s make a card using some kind of fruit (extra points for apples).
I guess this week I can claim extra points LOL … not that I get anything for it hehe! As I used an apple for my image and also there are apples on my designer paper and I also have an apple related sentiment.
CCEE1339-AppleHM-wm
For my card this week I used a House Mouse stamp (mine are soooooo neglected! As you can see I have created a flip it card using my Sizzix Flip it dies. Normally I would select a smaller frame to use for the image to attach to the centre part of my card, as I normally like the border around my image. But doing that for this image would have meant losing too much of the image, so I selected a frame the same size as the centre.
CCEE1339-AppleHM3-wm
Here is the flip side of my card. I created the sentiment in the centre on my computer.
Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: Spitting Apple Seeds House Mouse – Stampa Rosa; Alphabet – Karen Foster Snap Stamps
Paper: White; Red; Green; Class of 87 DP – Kaisercraft
Other: Black Ink; Sizzix Majestic Flip It Die; Sizzix Majestic #2 Labels Framelits; Green Hemp Cord; Red Button; Oval Punch; Word Window Punch; Foam Tape; Copics

To Santa!

Christmas-Eline-Owl-wm

Hi everyone,

Well today is the 25th September so it is official ….. there’s only 3 months to Christmas yikes!

For my card today I used an owl stamp from Marianne Design … love these cute Eline Owls!

Christmas-Eline-Owl2-wm

For the card base on the front I used Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate … I decided not to layer this to anything but to attach it to the back of a card so that you can see the inside of the card from the front. I also added some pine branches from Impression Obsession.

Christmas-Eline-Owl3-wm

Here is the inside of my card. I kept the sentiment panel the same size as the panel the owl is on on the front of the card and it is positioned directly behind so it can’t be seen when the card is closed. I used my computer for the sentiment as I wanted to use something owl related for this.

Stamps: Eline’s Owls – Marianne Design
Paper: White; Red; Olive; Jingle DP – Lily Bee Design
Other: Black Ink; Taylored Expressions Quatrefoil Cutting Plate; Impression Obsession Pine Branch; Red Button; Green Hemp Cord; Foam Tape; Copics
