Have A Roaring Good Birthday

CCEE1406-RoaringBday2-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Being a brand new month we have a new challenge hostess …. Vicky Gould.

This week Vicky has challenged us to a Technique Challenge … Paper Mosaics. You can find a tutorial on this technique in the Tutorial Section of SCS.

For my card this week I created another Accordion card using the new Pop It Ups dies designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. The main accordion card base was created using the Fancy Label Accordion die set. For the edging around the left panel I used one of the edges from the Fancy Frames Edges die set.

The stamps used on this card are the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Savanna stamp set. I used the paper mosaic technique for the foliage of my tree. I am not sure I will be doing this technique again in a hurry, it is easy enough but very fiddly and time consuming if you were doing a larger image. Fortunately I selected a image which wasn’t too large. It is always fun to try new techniques, that way you find the ones you love and do them over and over Smile.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Ahahaha, I just finished reading Karen Burniston's comment. This is great Frances ... I can't believe you used such teeny tiny pieces on that tree! Worth all the effort - the card is great.

That looks like such fun format for cards! I see that like me you decided the mosaic would look good as a tree - and you were right! This is a cool card :D.
