Happy Camper

C4C238Camping1-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.   Barb Anders our challenge hostess for May finishes off the month with one last challenge.

School's Out!! - Or soon will be in the US. What are your fun plans for vacation this summer? Going on a trip, the beach, hanging around the pool? Gardening? Just plain chilling out? Whatever your plans are, use them to inspire your card or project for this week.

C4C238Camping2-wm

Camping isn’t my idea of fun, but I know it is fun for a lot of people including my eldest daughter and her family. So I decided to use some new dies I received a while back from MFT Stamps along with the Lots of Pops Pop-Up Card set designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs.

C4C238Camping3-wm

One of the things I love about these dies is that you can position the die anywhere you like on the fold. For my card today I decided to position it towards the right of my card, giving room to add the tree and the open fire.

I needed the trees to be higher than what they were in the set so joined two together and cut out some longer trunks.

I also added a “lake” to the base of my card using the Katie Label Pivot Card die set. The clouds are from the All Seasons Tree set.

C4C238Camping4-wm

I also used one of the edges from the Agatha Edges die set on the top and bottom of my card. I cut an additional piece from brown card and layered this behind the edged designer paper.

C4C238Camping-wm

Here is the front of my card. I added a couple of trees and a tent as well as a sentiment from the coordinating stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

On the “flip” side of my card I used the Funny Bones “A yawn is a silent scream for coffee”

It’s also challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week I continue to bring the challenges for the month.

Number It .... Include a number or numbers on your creations this week. You can make an aged birthday card; number themed designer paper, number themed embossing folders or dies. Anything goes as long as there is a number somewhere!

For my card today I used two of the new Funny Bones sayings which I think work pretty well together. On the outside of my card I used the “Damn Girl You Old, Huh?”saying along with the Ethel Retro Folk image.

For the challenge part of this card I used designer paper that had numbers all over it.

    Riley-DamnGirl2-wm

On the inside of my card I used the Funny Bone Saying “I am not making age-related jokes…”  love those two Funny Bones sayings haha!

    Hello

    ECDThinkingofYou-wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s time for our May Elizabeth Craft Designs Designer Challenge. Check out the Elizabeth Crafts Designs blog on Saturday 8AM MST when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month.

Our theme this month is …. Create a flat A2 size card using ECD Peel-offs or dies or a combination of. You can pick your own theme.

For my card I decided to use Elizabeth Craft Designs Flowers in Frame 2 Peel-off Stickers. I attached the Flower Peel-Off to Double Sided Adhesive Paper, added Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and then colored with Copics.

For the background of my card I used Amethyst Gemstone Shimmer Sheetz which I embossed using the Hearts Entwined Embossing Folder. I used a sanding block to sand the raised portion on my embossed Shimmer Sheetz panel.

For my sentiment I used the Hello Die and Black Velvet Adhesive Sheet which I layered onto the fishtail banner from the Lots of Pops Pop-Up Card set.

    ECDThinkingofYou2-wm

I always like to finish off the inside of my card when I create a card so it is ready to use or give away and I don’t have to find a sentiment or whatever before I can write in it.

For the inside of my card I added a flower to the lower left hand corner of my card. The flower is one of the negative pieces from the Flowers in Frame 2 Peel-off Stickers. This uses the transfer technique which uses a Transfer Sheet, you can find how to use the negative portion of the Peel-off Stickers in Els’ video which you can find here.

I added the Thinking of You sentiment which was die cut using Black Velvet Adhesive Sheet .
Don’t forget to check out the Elizabeth Crafts Designs blog on Saturday when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month.

It’s also challenge time today on the Riley and Company Blog. This time round I am hosting the challenge.

Our challenge is to create a card/ project/ scrap page, by "spritzing" the background with ink.If you don't have a mister, spritz using an old toothbrush.

For my card today I decided to play with some of my Dylusions Sprays to spritz my white card which I then used to die cut out a Flip-its card.

    Riley1114Splatter2-wm

This Funny Bones saying cracks me up … I divided the sentiment into two parts and added part on the front of my card and then the remainder on the “flip” side of my card. I also added the two Police Moose that it refers to in the saying to my card.

    Best Wishes

    C4C237KatieDaisy1-wm

    Hello everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  This week Barb Anders our challenge hostess for the month continues to bring us fun challenges.

    C4C237

Apparently one of Barb’s favorite color combos: turquoise, orange, Kraft. Use Black/white/gray as needed to complete your design.

    C4C237KatieDaisy2-wm

Elizabeth Craft Designs have recently released some new Peel-Off Stickers which match the shape of some of the Pop It Ups and as I just received some of these I just had to play with some of those. The one used here is called Flower Labels #1.

As the color combo included Kraft I decided to use that as the base of my card which of course is the Katie Label Pivot Card designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs.  I added the Peel-offs to double sided adhesive paper and then added ECD’s Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and colored with copics.

    C4C237KatieDaisy3-wm

Once you have used the Peel-off sticker you are left with a negative image the color of the sticker (black in this case) … there is a technique you can do so you can use these on your card as well and I finally got around to trying this technique. You can see a video that Els did using this technique here.

    C4C237KatieDaisy4-wm

Here is a close up on the right hand side of my card.

    C4C237KatieDaisy-wm

Here is the front of my card. I also used Peel-off border stickers along the edge of my designer papers.

    C4C237KatieDaisy5-wm

And finally a look at the back of my card. The flower used here is also on the same sheet as the flower on the other side.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

    ECDBalloon-wm

    Hi everyone,

It is my turn to post on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today. Today I am playing with Shimmer Sheetz, Peel-off Stickers and one of the new embossing folders to create a birthday card. I love using the glitter technique on the peel-off stickers!

    Congratulations

    CCEE1421-Congrats1-wm

    Hi everyone,

    This week the challenge is:

    • · Glitter & Acetate, see tutorial here.
    • · Defying Gravity using Sizzix Pop N Cuts & Accordion Album, here.

    CCEE1421-Congrats-wm

I was going to do something completely different for my card for this challenge, but when I went through the box of dies/stamps sitting on my desk which I had purchased recently I found a few things which would work for this challenge so I decided to use those instead.

For the front of my card I used MFT Stamps Centerpieces Congratulations Die-namics which is great for making shaker cards for babies and graduates. As you can see I created a baby card. The acetate is behind the Congratulations block so that the shaker pieces don’t fall out.

    CCEE1421-Congrats2-wm

Of course you know I love creating Pop-Up cards so I used the Lucy Labels Pop-Up Die set designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. I turned the card on it’s side so it was in the same orientation as the front of my card.

To decorate the inside of my card I used MFT Stamps Beautiful Baby Stamp set with coordination dies.

    CCEE1421-Congrats3-wm

Here is a close up of the left side of my card. The Sentiment is stamp and layered using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Tag Die set.

    CCEE1421-Congrats4-wm

And finally a close up of the right hand side of my card. I have again used the Elizabeth Craft Designs Tag Die set for the sentiment.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

    Hi everyone,

It’s that time of the month when The Stamps of Life release their new exclusive dies sets. Who doesn’t love new dies … right!

For my first card today I have used the new Sign4Words dies set with it’s coordinating sign4words stamp set. I used washi tape on the right hand side of my card.

    TSOLBdaySign2-wm

For the inside of my card I added a sentiment from the sign4words stamp set and used the wider washi tape on the side of my card.

    TSOLForeverFriendsSign-wm

My next card also uses the Sign4Words dies set with it’s coordinating sign4words stamp set. For the background of this card I have used the Sizzix Squares in Ovals Embossing Folder.

Stamps: Sign4Words; Crazy4Life – The Stamps of Life
    Paper: White; Orange; Blue; DP
TSOL Dies: Sign4Words – The Stamps of Life
