Clownin' Around!

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with the "Crazies" over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month we have a new challenge hostess which is Helen Cryer.

One of Helen's favorite card elements is bunting (or banners), so this week Helen has challenged us to create a card which features bunting!

This week I wanted to play with a new stamp set I purchased recently from CC Designs called Clownin' Around. I knew I wanted to use the House Pivot Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs

While going through my designer paper looking for something that would work for my card, I found this fun bunting/banner designer paper which I figured fitted the theme perfectly.

Here is a close up of the left side of my card. I cut out the tent (big top) and placed that where the house would normally go. I also added a clown to the left side of my card as well as a sentiment at the top.

The green grass area at the bottom of my card was created using the Outdoor Edges die set also by Karen Burniston.

Here is a close up of the right side of my card, I wanted to also add an elephant and originally I was going to use another elephant and then I found another circus set in my collection, this time from Taylored Expressions which was even better so I used that instead.

Here is a look at the front of my card.... as you can see I added some bunting/banners to the front using the banners from the Lots of Pops Pop Up Card die set. I didn't add any to the inside as it had all the ones on the designer paper.

And finally a look at the back of my card. Fairly plain, but you can see the fence peeking through the back.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the "Crazies" cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
