Elizabeth Craft Designs September Designer Challenge

ECDHalloweenTagBagswm

Hi everyone,

It’s time for our September Elizabeth Craft Designs Designer Challenge. Check out the Elizabeth Crafts Designs blog on today at 8AM MST when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month.

Our theme this month is Fall, Harvest, Halloween.

For my project this month I decided to create some Tag Bags using the new Elizabeth Craft Design Tag & More dies and the Halloween in Frame Peel Off Stickers.

ECDHalloweenTagBag1awm

To create these Tag Bags I started with the Halloween in Frame Peel Off Stickers, white card and Double Sided Adhesive.

Cut a piece of white card big enough to fit the three Halloween Frames.  Apply a piece of double sided adhesive to one side of the card.  Lay the liner that you just removed from the adhesive sheet on your table and remove each of the frames from the Halloween in Frame Peel-Off Sticker sheet and place on the liner sheet sticky side up. Lay the adhesive side of the white card down onto the stickers and rub the back of the card so that the stickers transfer from the liner to the white card. Apply Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter over each Frame and polish the glitter into each of the Frames.

Remove excess glitter and use Copic markers to color over the glitter. You can see this technique in more detail in Els’ video which you can find here.

Cut out each of the Halloween Frames and set aside for later.

Cut a piece of card which measures 3 1/2 inches by 12 inches. I have decorated my card with designer paper, but that is optional.

Place the tag shaped die from the Tags & More die set at the top of the card and secure in place using removable tape. Place card through die cutting machine.

Remove the die from the top of the card and place it at the bottom as we did before and die cut again

Create the fancy design on both ends of the tag by using the decorator die included in the tag die set .. lining the hole in the die with the hole in the tag you created above.

Use a paper trimmer or craft knife and ruler to cut off the excess edge from creating the tag shape from all three pieces of card.

Find the centre point of your tag and the measure and score 3/4 inch on either side of the centre point. Fold along both score lines.

Cut two pieces of card to match your tag bags that measure 1 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches score 1 inch on both sides of each piece of card. Apply glue to the 1 inch tabs and place these pieces on the side of the tags to create a bag.

Finish off each bag with a piece of ribbon, twine etc.

These are just adorable ... I think the purple is my favourite part of your colour choices. Totally fun project.
