Sympathy

CCEE1502Sympathywm

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week Vicky Gould continues as our challenge hostess for the month.

Today is the 20th anniversary of Vicky’s mom’s entrance into heaven… so for our challenge this week Vicky has asked us to make a sympathy card for your stash in her memory. One you can have to send on to someone when needed.

I don’t think any of us likes making sympathy cards and it is probably a good idea to make them when you don’t need them as often when you do need them, you don’t really want to stamp.

I decided to pull out a Lily die I received free sometime last year when I placed an order … and I wanted to keep the lilies white. I ended up creating an Accordion Card using the Katie Label Accordion Card designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. As the flowers and the sentiment were both fairly large, I didn’t use any layers to the inner panels as I normally would. I also went with a Natural colored card for the main part of the accordion so the white lilies would show up.

Here is my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Those flowers are beautiful for a sympathy card, and that is also a really lovely and meaningful sentiment.
