Hello

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Our challenge hostess for July, Lynn McAuley continues to issue the challenges.

Lynn tells us that this Friday is Cheer Up the Lonely Day. So for our challenge this week she has asked us to .... Make and send a card of friendship to someone you know who lives alone.

I have been after the Bird Crazy Stamp set from Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz for about 3 or 4 months now and they finally came back in stock so I was able to get my hands on a set. These guys make me smile, so I thought they would work for this week's challenge.

I wanted my card to be bright and cheery. I also wanted to play with my distress stains ... so I added for different colored distress stains to my card. I also a couple of different stencils and distress stain to add interest to my background.  Once my card was dry I used the Rectangle Pull Card dies set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs for the base of my card.

For this card I used 5 of the birds from the stamp set to decorate my card. I felt my card needed something extra, so I added the tiny arrows which are also included in the Rectangle Pull Card die set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

I'm glad you were finally able to get the birds! They would certainly cheer up anybody's day - especially a whole little mini flock like these! The brick bit on the background is super-cool.
