Elizabeth Craft Designs November Designer Challenge

Hi everyone,

It's time for our September Elizabeth Craft Designs Designer Challenge. Check out the Elizabeth Crafts Designs blog today where you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month.

Our challenge this month is White, Silver, Gold. We were to create a project using these colors. We didn't have to use all 3, just gold, just silver or white with gold or silver is ok too.

When it comes to silver and gold there are lots of options to use using Elizabeth Craft Designs products. There are a number of different gold/silver colors in the Silk Microfine Glitter Range. Then you have Shimmer SheetzPeel-Off Stickers and of course Glitter Peel-Off Stickers too.

Here is how I created my card:

1.  For the base of my card I started with a piece of Soft Finish Cardstock (100b) which measured 4 1/4 inches x 11 inches. I scored my card at 5 1/2 inches to make a side folding card.
  • Using the tag edge from the Tags & More 9 – Sparkle die set place this as close as you can to the edge of the front of the card card and run through die cutting machine.
  • Position the decorative edge die so it is level with the curved shape of the tag and run through your die cutting machine.
2. Using the Poinsettia die die cut the following:
  • Remove protective backing sheet from the front of two of the large solid flowers and the two small solid flowers and cover adhesive with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine GlitterShake off excess glitter and polish the glitter using your finger.
  • Assemble flowers using foam tape between each flower.
  • Remove protective backing sheet from the remaining two large solid flowers and cover adhesive with Desert Gold Silk Microfine GlitterShake off excess glitter and polish the glitter using your finger.
  • Adhere the white flowers to the front of the card using photo above as a guide. Cut the Gold flower petals so that you have sets of 2 leaves or 1 leaf and adhere these under the white flowers.

3.  Using the Sprig with Berries die, die cut 3sprigs from white Soft Finish Cardstock (85lb) that has Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the front of the card.
  • Remove the protective backing from the front of the sprigs and cover the adhesive using Champagne Gold Silk Microfine GlitterShake off excess glitter and polish the glitter using your finger.
  • Cut each sprig so they are smaller and adhere under flowers as per photo above.

Inside of Card:

4.  Cut a piece of white Soft Finish Cardstock (85lb) that has Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the front of the card, so that it measures 2 inches x 4 1/4 inches.
5. Adhere a piece of Transparent Double Sided Adhesive Tape to the back of a piece of Gold Metallic  Shimmer Sheetz
  • Using the Merry Christmas sentiment die, die cut from the Gold Metallic Shimmer Sheetz.
  • Attach the sentiment to the centre of the left side of the inside of card.

That's it from me today, thank you for visiting my blog. To see what the other designers created for this challenge don't forget to check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog post which goes live 8AM MT.
