Bright and Bubbly Day

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As the challenge hostess for the month I continue to issue the challenges.

Apparently yesterday was Bubble Bath Day. So for our challenge this week, include something that relates to bubbles on your card. You could of course include a bath with bubbles, or kids blowing bubbles, fish with bubbles, create a background using colored bubbles etc.

As you can see I created a pop up card using the Bath Pop Stand Card and Jinks the Monkey die sets designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I just love this cute little monkey and I can see him getting into all sorts of mischief. Today of course he is having a bubble bath!

Rather than use the Bath as a Pop Stand Card I decided to use as a Pop Up Card. This card is actually a wide card being 8 inches wide and when closed it is 5 inches high. I need this width so I could create my bathroom scene.

For the pop up sections of the card, I used the pop up die from the new Barrel Basket die set ... I can see me using this pop up die a lot as I can put a pop up anywhere I want to.

For the sentiment on the bottom of the card I used a sentiment from an old stamp set and used the Fitted Frames 4 Curvy Ovals to make it look like a bath mat.

Recently when with a friend at our local Scrapbook Store which we like to visit regularly we discovered a whole tub of Cottage Cutz dies being sold for $5 each .... considering some used to be $40 of course we both looked through them. We both found this fun die set which contained a sink; mirrors, towel etc which I immediately knew I had to have to use with the Bath die. (And yes my friend found one too) :)

I also added a bar of soap and a bath brush to Jinks hands.

As there is so much going on on the inside of this card and I wanted the Pop Up to be the focus, I decided to keep the front of the card simple just adding another sentiment inside the Fitted Frames 4 Curvy Ovals.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
