Happy

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month, it is time to introduce a new challenge hostess which is ME!

Apparently Today is "I want to Be Happy Day" … who doesn't want to be happy :) and tomorrow is Dress in Blue Day (my favorite color). So for our cards this week let's include the word "Happy" somewhere on your card and also include the color blue.

I recently purchased this designer paper which has shades of blue in it amongst a couple of other colors, it shouted male card to me and as I always have far more cards to give to females then I do males I went in that direction.

I used the Happy Birthday Pop Up Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. At the top and bottom of the card I used the positive and negative part of the circle edge from the Pull Card Edges die set.

Here is a side on view of my card so you can see the pop up part of my card a little easier. I also added a sentiment which focuses on happiness which I thought also went with our challenge theme this week.

The "To You" under the Happy Birthday Pop Up panel uses the Elizabeth Craft Designs Alphabet 1 Upper Case die set.

For the front of my card again used the Circle Edge die from the Pull Card Edges die set ... I love these dies to create interest on my cards.

I used the word "happy" from the A Way with Words Happy Birthday 2 die set which I layered with blue and green card.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

What a fun birthday card! Love the blues and greens -- especially on the "happy" on the front.

Haha I love this card, it reminds me, that it is half way between our birthdays your favourite colour being blue and mine favourite being green.
