Karen Burniston March Designer Challenge Day 2

Hi everyone,

As promised yesterday I am back today with another card for the March Karen Burniston Designer Challenge. This time round Karen has given us the theme ..... Pull it! Use any of the Pull Cards OR the Hanging Charm Pull Tab for a card of any style, any theme.

Of course I just had to use the new Hanging Charm Pull Card die set to create a card for this challenge and with Easter less then two weeks away I wanted to also use Lucky the Rabbit for an Easter Card. So why not combine the two :).

To die cut Lucky the Rabbit I used:
Feet, Nose & Inner Ears - Pink Peach Soft Finish Cardstock
Teeth, Whiskers, Eyes - White Soft Finish Cardstock
All layers had Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back of the card before die cutting to make piecing everything together easier.

Here is another view of my card taken at a different angle so you can see the Pop Up portion of the card a little easier.

I also used the "Easter" Peel Off Sticker from the Happy Easter Peel Off Stickers to the sentiment inside the area  which is revealed when the tab is pulled up.

Here is a view of my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

On the left hand side of my card I used the Easter Egg die set designed by Joset Designs to create a stack of Easter Eggs.

I added the "Wishes" sentiment from the A Way with Words Best Wishes die set along the bottom ... when the tab is pulled up to reveal the sentiment in the hidden part of the card, it will read Easter Wishes.

On the top of the pull tab I used the file tab from the Tags & More 8 - Lattice die set to make it easier to tell that there was something needing to be pulled.

When I create a Hanging Charm Pull Tab Card I prefer to have my card so they are flat rather than on a folded card, but either way works. I decorate the back of my card so I have room to add another sentiment and even write a hand written message when the time comes to give this to someone.

I added a stripe of the same designer paper to the left side of my card which was die cut using the largest die from the Stitched Squares die set along with the white panel. The stitching gives a nice finish to the card. I added another Easter Egg to the lower right hand corner of my card.

If you are looking to purchase Karen's Pop It Ups dies in Australia you can find them at Craft Giraffe (formerly Photo Continental).

Don't forget to check out  Karen Burniston's blog  on Wednesday when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month, plus an amazing card/video tutorial from Karen Burniston.
