You're So Sweet

Hi everyone,

Today I have a tutorial on how to create the card above using products from Elizabeth Craft Designs. For my project today I am playing with Joset Designs new Lollipop die set and General Sentiments Clear Stamp set and Karen Burniston's new Cherry Stencil along with the Oval Pull Card die set to create a Pull Card.

Here is how I created my card:

1. The Base of my card:

  • Cut a piece of red card that measures 8 1/2 inches x 6 inches. Score along the long edge at 4 1/4 inches.

  • Place the main die from the Oval Pull Card die set and line the centre nubs of the die so it is centred on the scored line. Run through die cutting machine.

  • Cut two pieces of white cardstock, one at 2 3/8 inches x 6 inches and the other at 1 1/8 inches x 6 inches.
  • Stencil the cherry design onto both pieces of white card using the Stage It Stencil - Cherries Layering using green ink for the stems and red ink for the cherries.
  • Adhere the panels to the right and left sides of the card as per photo above.

  • Die cut the diamond border from the Bead Strings 1 die set from green cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back.
  • Adhere the border to the edge of each cherry decorated panel.

  • Using the large oval from the Oval Pull Card die set, die cut one from white card.
  • Attach to the oval on the front of the Pull Card using foam tape.

2. Using the Lollipop die set, die cut the following:
  • (3) Solid Lollipop from white card
  • (3) Spiral Lollipop from red card that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back.
  • (3) Lollipop Sticks from tan card
  • Assemble Lollipops as per photo above.

3. Attach the Lollipops to the white oval panel on the front of the card using foam tape.

  • Using green cardstock, die cut the bow from the Lollipops die set and attach to the Lollipop sticks as per photo above.

4.  Using the large oval from the Oval Pull Card die set, die cut one from white card.
  • Stamp the sentiment "You're So Sweet" from the General Sentiments Clear Stamp set onto the white oval using black ink.
  • Attach oval to the back of the centre oval on card as per photo above.
5. Using the Lollipop die set, die cut the following:
  • (1) Solid Lollipop from white card
  • (1) Spiral Lollipop from red card that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back.
  • (1) Lollipop Sticks from tan card
  • Assemble Lollipop as per the ones you created for the front of the card.
  • Line up the Lollipop so it covers the one that is overlapping from the front of the card. Mark in pencil where the Lollipop Stick comes just above the sentiment. Cut Lollipop Stick on this mark..
  • Adhere the Lollipop to the card as per photo above.
  • With remaining Lollipop Stick, line up the stitch with the stick already stuck down, make a mark where the stick comes just under the sentiment. Cut the Lollipop Stick on this mark.
  • Adhere Lollipop Stick to card as per photo above.
6. Using the Corners 1 die set die cut a corner that has larger holes on it from green cardstock that has Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back.
  • Remove circles and attach to the centre of the closure tab on the Oval Pull Card.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.
