MFT Creative Challenge!

MFT Wreath wm

Hi everyone,

Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're creating wreaths. Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a wreath for you today!

Now I have to admit this month’s challenge scared me, I had never thought I would ever make a wreath other than a Christmas one. But of course I had to give it a go. My wreath is 6 inches (15cm) in diameter, this was the only size I could find when I went looking for a ring to make my wreath.

The first thing I did to create my wreath was to wrap the foam base with Cappucino Twine.  I used the Die-namics Botanical Beauty to cut out the flowers from My Favorite Felt Bubblegum; My Favorite Felt English Rose and My Favorite Felt English Toffee felt. I then added the Die-namics Large Leafy Flourish using My Favorite Felt Sour Apple.

To finish off my wreath I added a hanger using Grosgrain Ribbon Bubblegum.

Die-namics: Botanical Beauty; Large Leafy Flourish – MFT Stamps
Other: Cappucino Twine; My Favorite Felt Bubblegum; My Favorite Felt English Rose; My Favorite Felt English Toffee; My Favorite Felt Sour Apple; Bubblegum Grosgrain Ribbon – MFT Stamps

Frances, I love how you used the larger flower -- and what patience you have with the bakers twine! I'm loving these wreath ideas!
