Wade E Bug!

PWC97-WadeEbug-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge & Blog Hop. If you didn't hop onto my blog via Jackie Rakoski's blog then you might want to hop back over to the very start of the blog hop which is at Christie Ortman's blog.

This week the challenge is hosted by Wendy Bond. Wendy has a few male birthday cards she needs to create this month for family members, so she challenged us to create a Male card.

This week the Design Team are using “Wade E Bug” and “Bugs & Fishes” which are both the stamp sets that are on special this week … 20% off!

For my card I decided to use the “Wade E Bug” set … love this set and I am pretty sure it was one of my very first stamps that I ever ordered from Paper Pretties.

The layout of my card uses a Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge (MTSC66) from a couple of weeks ago.

Want to play along with us

Our sponsor this week is “The Cutting Cafe”, and the design team were all given some of their Easter Digi Images to create our cards. I decided to use this cute little chick hiding behind an egg to use for my card. I printed my image out on white and also designer paper so that I could paper piece the image.

Hi everyone,

Only a few days left before it is Easter, so I decided to play with MFT Stamps “What’s Crackin” stamp set to create a gift card.

For the base of my card I used one of the new Spellbinders Big Scallop Rectangle dies. The rabbit I stamped and cut out and just added some pink to the ears and a little grey around the body to highlight the white of the body.

Cupcakes!

Stencil-cupcake-wm

Happy Friday everyone!

A few weeks ago, I attended “Silly Sunday” at my local scrapbook store. This was a special event as the shop doesn’t normally open on a Sunday, but there were great specials and lots of Make & Takes.

I only ended up doing one Make & Take which was using stencils. Most of this card I created at the shop, although I did end up adding the ribbon, pearls & sentiment to it when I got home.

Welcome To The World!

PP-Lamby2-wm

Hi everyone,

Welcome to our Prettie Peeks for Paper Pretties April Release! The new stamp sets and digital stamps will be available to purchase on Monday 1st April. Check out the rest of the Design Teams blogs this week for more sneak peeks.

My card today uses one of the four new digital stamps that Paper Pretties will be releasing. This one is called “Lamb Toy” … and I am sure most of you aren’t surprised that I selected this cute little image to create my card. Yes I am still enjoying creating baby cards hehe … I almost created a pink card, because I also found some cute pink lamb designer paper …. but I just had to make it blue *smile*, luckily I also found some cute blue lamb designer paper as well.

I am having fun playing with the tent cards, so I decided I would create another for this baby card, this time round I used my labels#11 for the image panel and frame around the opening of my card.

PP-Lamby-wm

The sentiment used on this card is from another of Paper Pretties stamps which is also lamb related as it turns out … it is from the “Happy Birth Day Lamb”

This week the inspiration photo is a stack of biscuits or cookies whatever you wish to call them :) so I decided to find a stamp that had something stacked up on it and ended up going with this stamps from Stampendous that have the cupcakes piled on top of each other.

Happy Birthday To Me!

PWC-Make-A-Wish-wm

Hi everyone,

Yeap today’s my birthday … so far it has been a pretty good day. I have not long come home from having lunch with my mother and sister to help celebrate the day.

It’s also time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge & Blog Hop. If you didn't hop onto my blog via Jackie Rakoski's blog then you might want to hop back over to the very start of the blog hop which is at Christie Ortman's blog.

This week the challenge is hosted by Jana Weaver. Jana’s challenge is In honor of my birthday, find inspiration for your card from some type of Owl (real or fictional) and include a picture of your inspiration with your post. Cool challenge, thanks Jana ;)

This week the Design Team are using “Lady Sophia” and “Make A Wish” which are both the stamp sets that are on special this week … 20% off!

This challenge was probably easiest for me seeing I have sooooo many owl things around the house. I recently purchased a pad of designer paper which has a few different sheets of owl designer paper inside it … so I decided to use this for my inspiration piece so you can actually see my inspiration on my card. I used the DP to pull out the colors of my card.

Originally I had thought about using the Lady Sophia set, but then I decided seeing it was my birthday why not created a birthday card hehe … you can never have too many of those to use right!

Bunny Riley!

Riley-Basket-wm

Hi everyone,

It is time for another challenge with the Riley and Company Design Team. This week our challenge hostess is Laurie Clout. Laurie’s challenge is a color challenge, to use pastel colors to create our card/project.

With Easter just around the corner I decided to create another Easter container. I used one of the new Riley stamps that was released last week. This one is Bunny Riley, doesn’t he look cute dressed as a bunny hehe! After stamping the image on my card I masked the image and used my copic airbrush to create the grass and sky.

My little basket is created using the Sizzix scallop envelope die, I cut out two of the envelopes, cut off an inch from the bottom flaps and then adhere it together to make this cute little basket. I also punched a hole at the top to create the handle.

It Moooo-st Be Spring!

C4C-cow-tent-wm

Can you believe it is Saturday already, it only seems like a day or two ago that it was last Saturday LOL! Of course Saturday’s mean it is challenge time over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess for March, Barb Anders has come up with another fun challenge for us all! Spring is almost here … let’s welcome it with some bright and cheerful projects.

Our sponsor for the next two week’s is Digital Delights by Louby Loo. A

th_DigitalDelightsNewBadgeDesignfin-1

Well it may be almost spring up there in the northern hemisphere, but down here where I live it is now well and truly into autumn … not that we really have an autumn in my part of Australia … they do in the southern states though … so while many of you are anticipating summer, I have winter to look forward to!

Anyway I got to play with one of Digital Delights by Louby Loo’s digi images to create my card, this one is called Claudia Cow … I thought it looked like it might be spring wherever Claudia lives hehe!

I decided to create a tent card, I haven’t made one of these in years so it was fun to play with this one, although it is a bit different to the ones I used to make.

    An Easter Inspiration!

    MFT-CCEE-Easter-wm

    Hi Everyone,

It’s challenge time over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This month our challenge hostess for March,  Tosh Leyendekker has been tempting us with pics of food to use as our inspiration to create our cards. Anything goes...shapes, embellishments, styles... we have to create our card/project based on each week's photo. All the photos are from Williams-Sonoma.

TLL%20CCEE%20March%202010%20Challenge%20NestSo far this month when I looked at the photos of the food, I saw sketches. With this one I went a different way. With this week’s photo, I was inspired by the eggs and also the nest/basket that the eggs are in. So I created an Easter card.

I used MFT Stamps “Pure Innocence – My Basket of Eggs” to create my card, the basket the girl is carry reminded me of the container holding the eggs in the pic. Of course I had to get my Egg Nestabilities out again to play with them, so I stamps the girl onto my white card and then used the egg nestabilities to cut her out. I added the sky using my copic airbrush, and the grass is a Martha Stewart punch. The pale pink egg layer was also cut using the egg nestie and then I used my scallop scissors to cut around the edge of the darker pink card.

    MFT-CCEE-Easter2-wm

For the inside of my card I die cut another egg shape from the pink card and added the sentiment that is included in the PI – My Basket of Eggs set.

First up I decided to create an Invitation for a Baby Shower. I decided to create my invite pocket card style.

    MFT Baby-Bump-Invite2-wm

I paper pieced the girls blouse, and bags, I did add a little pink to the bags cause I figured baby shops would be gender neutral LOL.
