Have A Dog-Gone Good Birthday!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Anne Harmon our challenge hostess for October finishes off the month with another fun challenge.

In honor of Adopt A Shelter Dog Month, our challenge this week is to make a card with a dog theme.

For my card today I used Papertrey Ink’s Instant Photo Pull Out die to create my card. The dog and dog house are from Our Craft Lounge.

Wishing You A Super Birthday!

Hi everyone,

Today is my younger daughter’s birthday, she loves anything Batman or DC comic super hero related…. it has to be DC! So for her card this year I decided to make her a Super Hero card.

Here is the front of the card. All stamps used on this card are digital stamps from Digital Stamps by Louby Loo. These were released a few months back and I knew as soon as I saw them I had to use them for a card for my daughter.

The background on the front is also one of the digital stamps … it comes in landscape format, but I played around so it could be printed in portrait. I used my copic airbrush to color the background piece.

Here is the inside of my card. The designer papers used here are also digital papers from Digital Stamps by Louby Loo.

Of course I had to make a pop up card for my daughter, using Karen Burniston’s Sizzix A2 Pop N Cuts Card Base, Sizzix Sassy Labels Pop N Cuts Insert.

For the sentiment panel I used Sizzix Sassy Labels & Stitched Frame Framelits … love the stitching around the red panel. The sentiment is stamped on the fishtail banner from the Sizzix Banner & Borders Thinlits set.

The sentiment is computer generated.

Here is one last photo of the inside of my card. I added a few stars to the bottom panel.

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again over on the Riley and Company blog. This time round it is Kelly Santi’s  turn to host the challenge.

Kelly has challenged us to a Spook-tacular Greetings! Create a card/project using a spooky, haunted, Halloween theme. In addition, please use ORANGE on your card somewhere in the coloring, paper, ink, etc.

Happy Owl-O-Ween!

It’s only a few days now until it is Halloween so I just had to create one more Halloween card to share with you all.

This card uses Taylored Expressions Owl-O-Ween stamp & die set and the Cherry Lynn Designs Step card template.

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Our challenge hostess for October Silke Ledlow finishes off the month with one last challenge.

I am not sure if I have an absolute favorite stamp set … I love all my stamps hehe! So I decided to go with one of my favorite new Christmas stamp sets I have purchased this year from Papertrey Ink.
I love using my sizzix card dies so this time round I decided to use my Sizzix Circle Flip It die.

For my flip it card today I added an extra flap so that I can add a greeting or whatever. To do this I cut my card at 10 inches long and then scored at 3 inches from the right hand side of the card and folded that in. Then I placed the card so the fold was just inside the cut line of the die.

Here is one last view of my card, this time fully extended.

From Our Family To Yours!

Hi everyone,

It’s now only 2 months to Christmas, so I figured I should get some more Christmas cards made. As you can see I have made another Pop N Cuts card.

I have used Karen Burniston’s Sizzix A2 card base and the new Sizzix Multi Tier Insert which is what I used to create the present on this card. I pop out all the tiers for this pop up adding the bow to the top tier and the “To You and Yours” on the bottom tier.

The Merry Christmas on the bottom flap is from the new Sizzix Circle & Labels Stitched Framelits set. I also used one of the borders from the Sizzix Banners & Borders Thinlits set.

Here is one more photo of the inside of my card so you can see it side on.

And let’s not forget the front of my card. I wanted the front to look like a present so I used striped paper and added the Papertrey Ink Double Bow which I die cut from red felt. The sentiment is stamped onto a tag which is from Karen’s Sizzix Gift Card Holder.
