Penguin Gift Tags

Hi Crafty Friends,

Almost two months ago, I shared some Santa and Reindeer Gift Tags I created using Creative Craft Products Sweet Christmas Collection. This collection consists of 6 different Christmas characters which make a fun chocolate holder. I plan to use these to make gift tags for close friends and family this year.

Today I am sharing 3 'gift tags' I created using the Percy the Penguin die set. For the previous gift tags I made I used chocolates in the belly, however as I live in Australia and it is the middle of summer at Christmas, I have decided to use Chupa Chups instead. I won't have to worry about these melting under the Christmas tree and being a big mess when I hand over the present.

I added the stamps "to & from" to the back of the tag so I can add the name of whoever's present it is attached to.

Here is a side on view of the gift tag.

And finally the three penguin gift tags all lined up ready to be placed on a Christmas present.

Big Thanks

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another Thank you card I created recently. This one uses the Spellbinders Thank You Very Much Glimmer Plate which I foiled using Navy Blue foil and the Solid Plate, so I could use the reverse image of the foiled panel.

For my card, I used Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Side Panel 5 x 7 inch Card die set from the Showstoppers Collection.

I also used the Sympathy Additions die set which is also from Made To Surprise. The pink leaves use a die included in My Creative Life's The Gift of Giving die set.

The wax seal on the foliage was created using the Made To Surprise's Happy Mail All Occasions Wax Seal set.

On the back of the card, I added another "thanks" sentiment using Pink Fresh Studio's Fancy Script Words Hot Foil Plates and coordinating die set.

Other Supplies:
  • Thank You Very Much Glimmer Plate - Spellbinders
  • Navy Blue Foil - Go Press & Foil

Santa's Sleigh

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed Slimline card I created using the stamps and dies included in the Papercraft Society Box 49 which was designed by Helen Griffin of Card Making Magic.

This was a nice quick card to make.

For the inside of the card, I used one of the sentiments from the stamp set and also stamped out the footprints along the bottom of the card.

Foiled Merry Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a quick Christmas card I created recently. For the background I used Creative Craft Products Poinsettia Embossing Folder, I embossed it onto red cardstock and then rubbed over the poinsettia's using gold metallic rub-ons. This was layered to a gold mirror card panel and then onto a 5 x 7 top folding card.

For the "Merry Christmas" I used Spellbinders Chic Merry Christmas Betterpress Plate. Rather than letter pressing the plate I decided to use gold foil. I used the solid plate to get the negative image from the left over gold foil, which is what I used on this card.

For the inside of the card, I used one of the sentiments from Divinity Designs Christmas Wishes stamp set.

Thank You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Recently I have needed a few thank you cards, so I am starting to build up a small stash so I have them when I need them.

For my card today I decided to create an Accordion Card using Creative Craft Products Accordion Stepper Card die set.

To decorate my card, I used My Creative Life's The Gift of Giving die set to create the bunch of flowers.

The "Thank You" on the top left panel is from Karen Burniston.

For the back of the card, I added two more thank you related sentiments and also added a flower which was left over from creating the bouquet on the front of the card.

Birthday Love

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a fun new style of card I made recently using a tutorial by Sam Calcott. You can find here tutorial here.

Sam calls this card style a "Kissing Frog" card, which is a strange name but if you look at the overhead version of the card (photo below), you can understand why she called it that.

Sam also released a new Showstoppers Collection in her Made To Surprise line. This time around Craft Stash was offering a few digital paper pad if you got the bundle ... as I was going to anyway I got the paper and it great to be able to play with that while I am waiting for my dies etc to arrive.

To decorate the front of the card, I added the birthday sentiment which is from TEXT{ures}.

Here is the overhead shot of my card, it's a little bit harder to see in the single version of the card, but if you make a double it definitely does look like two fish or frogs kissing.

Here is a look at the back of my card. I made one panel white, so that I could add a stamped sentiment and have a place to write a personal greeting.

Halloween Gift Cards

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two Halloween themed Money/Gift Card holders that I made to add to the Halloween Gift Bags I made for my grandchildren for Halloween.

For the Money Cards I used MFT Stamps Money Card Die-namic and Gift Card Die-namics.

Although I am adding money to these cards, I decided to use the Gift Card die along the bottom of the card, rather than one of the money card options I have used in the past.

To decorate my money cards, I used patterned papers from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Spooktacular Collection. I also used the Halloween themed ephemera which is from the same Collection.

I added a stamped sentiment using the Halloween sentiments stamp set also from Made to Surprise.

You're A Big Deal

Hi Crafty Friends,

Apparently today (17th October), is National Playing Card Collection Day so of course I had to pull out my Karen Burniston House of Cards Pop-up die set to create a card.

This time round, I have created a Slimline card which measures 4 inches x 8 1/2 inches when folded.  My house of cards is 3 rows high.

To decorate my card, I used the Word Set 17 Congratulations die set to add the sentiment. I also added the poker chips which are from the Game Charms die set.

On the right side of my card, I added two more poker chips and also four ace cards which are from the same card pack that I used for the house of cards.

I used the same papers that I used on the inside of my card, on the front. I was limited with the amount of paper I had left over, so I had to get a little creative with it.

I added the "Happy Birthday" and "Happy Birthday Shadow" die set to add the birthday sentiment on the front of the card.

I also added two wax seals which are of playing cards & dice.

Here is a close up of the wax seal.

Bat Halloween Gift Bag

Hi Crafty Friends,

Last week I shared a Witches Cat Halloween Gift Bag that I created for my granddaughter for Halloween. Today I am sharing a Bat version which I have made for my grandson.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

To decorate my bag I used papers from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Spooktacular Collection. The paper pad included in this collection includes six different Halloween themed puppets.

Here is another view of my gift bag, the sentiment under the cat says "Spooky Wishes".

Merry Ginger-mas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Quartet style Christmas card. This is a style of card I have made a number of years ago. I recently discovered a die set from Card Making Magic which was perfect to create the card base including layers which I ended up purchasing. I used that to make this card.

To decorate my card, I used one of the cute gingerbread men included in Spellbinder's Dancin' Gingerbread die set.

The gingerbread man spins in the centre of the card, so for this reason I needed to have an image which I could have look similar, no matter which side you are looking at it. The gingerbread man isn't really symmetrical, however as there is a gingerbread man and gingerbread girl included in the die set, if you mix the dies together you can pretty much get a symmetrical image.

I decorated the frame using holly leaves from Spellbinders' Stocking Full of Joy die set.

The sentiment in the top right corner of the card is from the Dancin' Christmas Sentiments stamp set.

The card folds flat and will fit into a 5 x 7 envelope.
