Recycle It!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again over on the Riley and Company blog. This week our challenge hostess is Kelly Santi

Kelly’s challenge this week is -"Let's Recycle!" Use something recycled on your card ~ from cereal boxes to bread tags and beyond - add a recycled item to your creation

When I was thinking what to do for this challenge I came upon this bag I got when I purchased something a while back which I kept as I thought it could be recycled to use as a gift bag so of course this was the perfect opportunity to recycle it.

I used the Popping Out Of Cake Riley Clear Set to decorate my bag.

Babies Are All Our Dreams Rolled Into One

    Hello everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Kelli Hull our challenge hostess for April finishes off her challenge month with one last challenge.

Let's celebrate new beginnings by doing a Baby Card/Project.  Kelli says it was a hard winter and peeps
were twitter pated so I am seeing a TON of pregger peeps out there!!!! ;)

For my card this week I used a Lili of the Valley stamp that I have had in my new stamps basket for ages and
haven’t gotten around to using …. it’s finally got used yahhhhhhh! I went with a girl theme this time round,
although right now I don’t think I know anyone having babies but I am sure it will get used eventually.

Here is the inside of my card. On the lower left hand side of my card I used another Lili of the Valley stamp
which also hadn’t been used yet and then added the sentiment which is a Kaszazz stamp.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and
also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: All Our Dreams; Special Delivery – Lili of the Valley; Twinkle Twinkle – Kaszazz
Paper: White; Pink; Bundle of Joy Girl DP – Echo Park

    Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

    Hi everyone,
I have another Flip it Card to share with you all today using the Sizzix Flip It Square Die. I love how easy these are to create a fun card this is a little different.
To decorate my card I used another Art Impressions stamp set that I purchased recently. This one is thanks to a friend who was with me who suggested using it to create a Flip It card.
I have attached an Action Wobble to the back of the image so that when you touch it it wobbles …. just like if the car was driving on a bumpy road hehe!

When you open the card it reveals the back of the car … looks like they had fun shopping. This reminds me a little of my friends I go shopping with, although we are normally buying stamps ad supplies not clothes hehe! I was going to put an action wobble on the back image too … but for some reason I couldn’t get this one to work so that it couldn’t be seen when the card was closed, even though the image is exactly the same size as the one on the front. Oh well one wobble is enough.
Stamps: Girlfriends Shoppers – Art Impressions; HB2U from Lollipop Additions Birthday – MFT Stamps
Paper: White: Happy Days DP – Echo Park
Other: Black Ink; Action Wobble; Sizzix Square Flip Its Die; Foam Tape; Copics

    29 Again!

    Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our April challenge hostess Kathy Bradley, continues to bring us a fun challenge.

For our challenge this week Kathy has given us a theme challenge …. In the Kitchen: Make a card using food, appliances, a whole kitchen scene, utensils – anything that can be found in the kitchen.

This week I decided to play with a new Art Impressions stamp set I just purchased … actually two stamp sets and while they aren’t exactly kitchen stamps I figure many people do actually have tables in their kitchens where they can eat so I decided this fitted the theme LOL!

My Mother in Law is turning 90 shortly so I am thinking this might be a good card for her … especially as she is always saying she is much younger LOL!

Here is the inside of my card …. I love this sentiment and this is the first stamp set I had picked out to buy on my recent stamp shopping trip and then I saw the other one which I used on the front of my card and thought I just needed them both seeing they would work so well together.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

    You Roped Me In

    Hi everyone,
It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS. This week we have another fun sketch to play with Smile

For my card this week I have used the MFT Stamps à la modes Cowboy at Heart stamp set to create another male birthday card.

Along the bottom of my card I have used Die-namics Simply Scallops Medium to create the scallop border. I stamped the sentiment using the Die-namics Sentiment Strips and also added one of the charms from the Die-namics Country Charms which was cut using Kraft cardstock and Hemp Cord.

The layers of my card are all Hot Fudge cardstock. I also used Hot Fudge ink  for the star in the centre of the charm and Black Licorice ink for the sentiment and Kraft ink for all the sponging.

Here is the inside of my card. I used two sentiments on the inside … the Yee-Haw is from the à la modes Cowboy at Heart stamp set and the birthday sentiment is from the LJD Howdy stamp set.

Along the bottom of the card I added the Die-namics Western Star Border Duo .

Here are the MFT Supplies I used to create my card today:

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2013.

Check out the FAQ - Wednesday Stamp Club thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your card to the SCS gallery.
