The Owl and The Pussycat

Hi Crafty Friends,

For those who know me, you know how much I love owls. So when I saw this Owl and the Pussycat stamp set from Pink Ink Designs I just had to purchase it. I have had it for a while now, and finally got some time to play with it.

To create my card I created a Terrific Tower Card using Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott's 6 x 6 Terrific Tower Card die set.

Here is a side view to show the folds of the card.

Here is another view of the card, this time when it is lying on the desk. Hopefully you can see the side panels a little better.

On the back of the card, I added another of the large panels I used on the front. I added the sentiment, moon and stars which are also included in the stamp set.

Birthday Surprise

Hi Crafty Friends,

Last Year I purchased Craft Stash's Advent Calendar, so I have pulled out one of the stamp sets included in the kit to create my card today. All the main Craft Stash Branded Companies were included in the kit and this stamp set was created by My Creative Life.

For my card I created a Fancy Fold Card using dies from Creative Craft Products, this card uses the Honeycomb Card die set.

The card can fold flat and measures approximately 6 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall.

Here is a look at the back of the card, I added a birthday sentiment to the centre panel using an older stamp set from MFT Stamps.

And finally a photo of the back of the card, when the card is folded. This could be the front of the card with say a panel in the centre which is then opened to reveal a sentiment or whatever. I may do that next time I play with this die set.

Sweetest Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a cupcake themed birthday card, using a cupcake stamp set from Creative Expressions.

I used Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Double Interlocking Concertina die set from the  Showstoppers 2 Collection. Most of my other cards using this die set, I have placed the large square portion of the card to the right side. Today I decided to have it on the left.

I also used a sentiment from Colorado Craft Company for the birthday sentiment.

This card can be closed two different ways, the first is by concertinaing the right side to the front as you can see above.

This is the other option of my card being closed, so either way taking it out of the envelope looks good.

I added another Colorado Craft Company sentiment to this side of the card.

Birthday Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Z Fold Card I created using a tutorial that Sam Calcott shared recently. You can find her tutorial here.

To decorate my card, I used dies and stamps from My Creative Life. I opted to create a birthday card, but with a change of sentiment it could easily be a valentine or another other love related occasion.

The sentiment on the inner part of the card is from Card Making Magic.

Here is a look at my card, when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope. The finished card, measures 7 inches x 5 inches.

Sending You Sunshine

Hi Craft Friends,

It's been a while since I created a Mini Slimline card, so I decided to create one for my card today.

I used the Mini Slimline Layers die set from Waffle Flower Crafts, to create the layers for my card.

It's summer here in Australia, so I decided to pull out some stamps I received from a magazine I purchased last year. This is from Creative Stamping Magazine Issue 124. The girl was designed by Colorado Craft Company and was also included in the free stamp set.

I added some sentiments and a surf board image which were also included in the stamp set.

Bean a Good Friend

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for dropping by my blog. Today I am sharing a coffee themed interactive card I created recently.

Back in November, I got the Papercraft Society Box #50 which was one designed by Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott. It was a coffee theme, this time around which is a little different for these kits. As I was busy at the time making Christmas cards, I didn't have time to play with the contents of the kit until now.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

I have created a 5 x 7 Flip and See Card using Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's 5 x 7 Flip and See Card die set.

When you pull the tab at the right hand side of the card, the top panel flips to the left to reveal another panel which I have decorated with donuts and a sentiment. I used the  stamp set included in the Papercraft Society Box to decorate the card.

This card is then layered onto a side folding 5 x 7 card. I added an another image and sentiment from the Papercraft Society Kit.

Donut Centre Tower Gatefold

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for dropping by my blog. Today I am sharing a new (to me) fun fold card. This card is called a Centre Tower Gatefold and it is inspired by a Facebook Live that Sam Calcott did recently. You can see her tutorial here.

To create my card, I used Donuts from the Baked Delights Stamp/Die set (the smaller ones with faces) and the Papercraft Society Box 50 (the large ones).

I added the larger donuts onto an oval panel which opens up to reveal a message.

Here is a look at my card, when the oval panel is opened, this reveals a stamped sentiment from an older Reverse Confetti stamp set. This also gives a place to write a personal greeting, as the back panels are adhered to acetate.

Here is a look at my card, when it is. folded ready to be placed in an envelope. The card folds into a gatefold card. I added a belly band to the front of the card, to help keep it closed.

And finally a close up look at the belly band.. I added three of the smaller donuts and a birthday sentiment.

Love and Best Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Shadow Box Card I created using dies from Paper Discovery.

Back in August Craft Stash has a fabulous special on some of Paper Discovery's die sets and this was one of them. I put it away so I could receive it for Christmas. The die set includes a frame die, background die, three flower dies and a concertina piece for the side panels. I used all the pieces to make my card.

I used a sentiment from Card Making Magic's Large Sentiments stamp set for the sentiment in the centre of the card.

The flowers are die cut and then added to the card using foam tape. I also added some leaves using a My Creative Life die set.

I added a panel to the back of the card, for a place to add another sentiment and a personal greeting. I also added a few more the the individual flowers.

Blooming Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a floral pop-up card to share with you today, using one of the die sets from the Pop Up Blooms Collection from Made To Surprise by Same Calcott. This collection was released mid December, and my order literally got thrown over the fence on Friday evening. Of course it was a no brainer what I would be playing with on Saturday!

For this card, I used the Scalloped Heart Blooms die/stamp set. I die cut seven of the large flowers from pink paper that was 150gsm in weight. I then die cut the tiny heart layer 42 times, there is only one die to do this but fortunately I was able to die cut 3 layers at a time so it wasn't all that time consuming.

The flowers were adhered into a top folding 6 inch x 6 inch card base. I embellished the flowers using the leaves and foliage included in the die set.

Here is a side view of my pop-up card. The sentiment in the centre flower is from the sentiment stamp set from this collection.

I kept the front of the card fairly simple as the focus of this card is on the inside. I added a flower themed birthday sentiment and layered this onto circles. I then used the flower die and circle included in the Scalloped Heart Blooms die set to add the flowers around the circle.
