You're Smokin'

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I finish off the month with one last challenge.

May is apparently Barbecue Month and the 28th May is Hamburger Day…. so for our challenge this week let's think BBQ's and/or Hamburger

For my card this week I decided to combine both the BBQ and Hamburger theme on my card.
I created a Wiper Card. For the front side of the wiper card, I die cut a stripe of green cardstock using the grass border from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges die set. For the back portion of the card I used blue cardstock and sponged Unicorn White ink over the card using MFT Stamps Mini Cloud Stencil.

The BBQ is an older stamp from Art Impressions which I have had for some time. I paper pieced the apron and glove using designer paper.
The BBQ, food and sentiments are from Lawn Fawn's Let's BBQ stamp set. I also added some ants which is from Lawn Fawn's Happy Summer stamp set.
When you pull the card on the sides, it reveals a stack of hotdogs and hamburgers which pop up.
For the back of the card, I added a sentiment from DRS Designs. I added a grass border along the bottom portion of the card. I added a few ants and some more of the BBQ food for the ants to carry.

Favorite Person To Hang Out With

Hi Crafty Friends,

Two I have two cards to share with you. As I was using the Mama Elephant Circular Grid die to create one card, which meant that I would have all those circles left over from die cutting this die I decided to use the circles to make another card.

For the background of my card, I use Taylored Expressions Mosaic Leaves Stencil and applied Catherine Pooler Inks in Sage, Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt and Eucalyptus through the stencil onto white cardstock for an ombre effect. I also covered another piece of cardstock using the same colors of inks.

I used the Mama Elephant Circular Grid die to die cut the stencil panel and adhered this over the second panel using foam tape.

To decorate my card I stamped monkeys from Motion Crafts Monkey Flip Book Kit and adhered them randomly onto the card using foam tape.

I stamped the "Favorite Person To Hang out With" sentiment onto black cardstock and white embossed and then die cut this using Honey Bee Stamps Banner Builder die set. I adhered this to the second row of circles.

I added two other sentiments and some bananas to the other remaining circles.

I created another stencil panel using the Mosaic Leaves Stencil and cut it down and adhered it to the left side of the card.

I added a sentiment from Gerda Steiner Designs Party Animals stamp set and die cut that using one of the banner dies from Honey Bee Stamps Banner Builder die set.

To finish off the card, I added some more of the monkeys from the stamp set.

For my second card I used the circle pieces leftover from making the first card and adhered them to a white panel and then onto a folded green card.

I added monkeys to some of the circles and then stamps the sentiment to the two outer circles on the bottom.

I added another mosaic leaves stencil panel to the left side of the card and then added two sentiments and a monkey to the white side of the panel.

Have A Super Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

A couple of months ago I purchased the MFT Stamps Interactive Swing die. I have already made a swing card using this die, but since then I have seen a number of seesaw cards using this die. I love when you can get more from a die set then what the die was designed for. Of course these looked liked lots of fun so I have to create my version.

I used Clearly Besotted's Super Pug Clear Stamp set to create my card today ... these were ones I had to add to my collection a while back. My youngest daughter loves pugs and forever she has wanted a pug of her own, well she finally got her wish a few months ago and it has quite a personality ... I can see her getting up to mischief like these cute pugs on this card.

http://picasion.com/

Here is a gif image which shows the card in action. I love how the seesaw actually moves up and down as you tilt the card.

I used Distress Oxide inks to create the background sky.

I added the trees from Lawn Fawn's Shadow Box Park Add-on. The grass is from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges die set and I added some flowers to the lower grass section using dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs Adventure Edges 2 die set.

For the sentiment I used Heffy Doodle's "Super" die and then added the two sentiments above and below this using sentiments from Lawn Fawn's Reveal Wheel Sentiments and Reveal Wheel Christmas Sentiments.

For the inside of the card I added some more grass and flowers and one of the pugs and then added the sentiment which is  from MFT Stamps Super Dog stamp set.

Bee Happy Reveal Wheel Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have a Reveal Wheel Card to share with you today, using Lawn Fawn's Reveal Wheel Card and the Honey Bee Stamps Bee Hive Box die set.

This card is a tall card measuring approximately 7 1/2 inches high. To be able to incorporate the reveal wheel die on this card I partially die cut the top part of the reveal wheel die and then move the die down and die cut the bottom portion of the die,

Here is a quick video to see the card in action.

For the background of this card I used Distress Oxides blending three different colors together.

Along the bottom of the card I added grass borders which are from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges die set.

To decorate my card I used stamps and dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I die cut the Bee Hive from white cardstock and then colored using copic makers to get a wood effect.

Here is a look at each of the 4 different sentiments which are revealed when you turn the wheel at the side of the card.

I used sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Bee-You-Tiful Sentiments and Hi Honey Clear Stamp sets.

For the inside of my card I added sentiments from the Hi Honey Clear Stamp set and added bees which is a freebie stamp/die set that I received with my order.

Bloom Flower Pot Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a shaped card I created using some of the new Honey Bee Stamps products released in April.

The flower pot, pull tab and flowers are all from the Flower Pot Card die set. I die cut the flower pot and pull tab from orange cardstock and the front of the flower pot again from patterned paper and then adhered them together to form a flower pot pocket.

I decorated the top of the pull tab using the flowers from the set.

I added the bloom die cut sentiment to the front of the flower pot and then added the other part of the sentiment using the Bloom Sentiment Clear Stamp set.

To finish off my card I added two bees which are a little freebie I received with my order to the top of the flowers using acetate so it appears like they are flying around the flowers, and a third bee above the sentiment.

Cheers

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Maryann Einam our challenge hostess for the month finishes off the month with one last challenge.

According to the days of the year calendar it is wine day, create a card with this in mind.

For my card today I pulled out my MFT Stamps Wine Glass Shaker Window Die-namics to create a shaker card. I added two different shades of red sequins into the shaker pouch.

I added the "Cheers" sentiment die cut to the bottom of the glasses, die cutting it three times from gold cardstock and layering the die cuts together.

To finish off the front of the card I added some Clear Acrylic Heart embellishments.

For the inside of my card I used Karen Burniston's Circle Tag Book Pop-up to add a pop-up feature to the inside of my card.

I added two more of the wine glasses to either side of the card.

On the circle panels I added the "Cheers To You" sentiment from the Ranger Letter It Birthday Die Set.

I also added a wine bottle and glass which is from Karen Burniston's Wine Charms die set.

The two wine themed sentiments I added on this side of the card are from the Art Impressions Wine Tasters stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Class of '19

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another Graduation card using some of the new Divinity Designs products from the May Release.

When I saw the Graduation hats (mortarboards), I could see them all being flung in the air once all the graduates have been given their diplomas. So for my card today I decided to create a Waving Pop-up card. The mortarboards are attached to a piece of acetate in the middle of the card so that they move when the card is opened and closed.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

I used the Grad die set to create this card which includes the mortarboard and all the die cut sentiments. I also used the Long and Lean Numbers for the "19" and The Future Stamp set for the stamped sentiments.

Both sentiments were layered using the Double Stitched Ovals and Ovals die sets.

The woodgrain paper is from Divinity Designs Weathered Wood Collection. Each of the woodgrain panels were die cut using the Double Stitched Rectangles die set.

I kept the front of the card simple, seeing the focus is on the inside of the card. I added the Congratulations sentiment which is also from the Grad die set and another mortarboard.

You Are Turtley Awesome

Hi Crafty Friends,

t's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenges.

Our challenge this week is to create a card using at least one die.

Apparently today is also Turtle Day, and as I had a turtle stamp set I purchased from Hero Arts sitting on my desk waiting to be played with I decided to incorporate that stamp set on my card today.

I have again be playing with my Alcohol Pearl inks I received at the end of last month. I am totally or should I say turtley in love with these inks. This time around I used the two blues and two green inks and Yupo cardstock on my panels so that they resembled grass & sky.

I then used Sunny Studio Stamps Dapper Diamonds Embossing Folder to emboss each of the panels and sanded the raised area to reveal some of the white.

I created a belly band and added on oval to create my turtle scene on the front of the card.

For the inside of the card I have used MFT Stamps Shutter Card Components die to create a Gatefold Shutter Card.

Here you can see when the card is partially open and the image in the top centre is only
partly seen.

And one last photo of the front of the card with the belly band removed.
