Fishing You A Great Day!

Hi everyone ... after a weeks break it is time for another challenge with my goofy CCEE friends on SCS ... being the last Monday of the month this week we had a supply challenge. My friend Cindy was responsible for sending us the supplies this month and I have to say I was very happy with the supplies ... they were fun ... this is what we all received:
  • 2 pieces of double sided DP
  • 3 olive brads
  • 1 length of olive ribbon
  • 1 large star
  • 2 skinny strips of DP
The instructions which were included with the supplies told us we had to use all the supplies included the DP, brads, ribbon and large star to create our card .... we were also instructed that we had to include a fish and it had to be in a circle .... after double checking with Cindy before creating my card I did discover we didn't need to use the skinny strips ... they were just cut off the side of the DP so it would fit in the envelope and of course Cindy had included just to stir us hehe!

I started my card by selecting a fish stamp I have had for years ... cut out my circles using my circle nestabilities and stamped my image onto the white circle. I used my distressed stripes cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture to my olive stripe along the bottom which I layered onto my dot dp. I added my ribbon across the olive panel. I stamped my verse ... one word at a time onto my star and attached that using foam tape onto my card. The brads I added to the top left corner of the card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Fish & sentiment - Rubbernecker
Paper: White; Old Olive; Night of Navy - SU; Confetti DP - My Minds Eye
Other: Black Ink; Distress Stripes Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Circle Nestabilities; Ribbon; Olive Brads; Star; Foam Tape

MFTeaser ... Mother's Day!

Are you ready for some MFTeasers this week?? My Favorite Things will be releasing 2 new sets this Wednesday 2nd April ... the card above features stamps from the new "Happy Mother's Day" set.

I created this card for this week's MFT sketch challenge found on the MFT member forums on SCS. I stamped the square image 4 times to create this card ... twice on white card, once on the yellow DP and once on the olive card. I cut out the inside square and layered this onto the olive piece..... I then cut out the dress only from the yellow DP and layered that over the dress on the white card ... and finally cut out the arms, pot & flowers and attached them over the DP. I also colored the white area of the square blue. This was all then layered onto a yellow scallop square which I created using square nestabilities. The flowers on the corners of the square image were colored using my spica pens which are also available from MFT.

I used my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder to create the dots on the lavender piece. The scallops along the bottom of the card on the yellow panel was created using my corner rounder.

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, April 2 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum on SCS to find out all the details and we hope to see you there on Wednesday night.

Tools Not Just For Boys!

Okay it is a busy week this week with new releases .... Hanna Stamps will be releasing 2 new sets on Friday 4th April ... here is my first sneak peek for the week using these new sets ... this card was created using Tool Time Hanna!

Last Friday I received a parcel of Prism Papers which will soon be available from Hanna Stamps ... so of course I had to try some of it out on my card I created today .... this cardstock has a slight texture to it ... but unlike other textured card I have tried this one was easy to stamp on and still get a good image.

After creating my SCS sketch card last week I released that this Hanna fitted well for this sketch so of course I had to make another card using tool time Hanna. I used my distress stripe cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture to my background panel and then I sponged on soft sky over the raised areas. Being that this is a tool themed card I just had to use my screw brads to embellish this card ... and also the hammer button seen at the bottom right of the card.

Join us on the Hanna Stamps member forum of SCS for the release party Thursday 3rd April at 9pm ....See some great preview peeks and participate in some fun prize challenges.

You Old Bird!

Okay, okay I am not referring to any of you LOL ... that is just part of the sentiment that is on this particular card I made tonight so I thought that would be a good title for this card!

Today's featured stamper on SCS is Laura - aka - Scrapnextras .... I have been busy today so haven't had a lot of time to browse Laura's gallery as I would like ... I will get back to that later.... but I did spy a couple of owl cards so decided one of those would be good to CASE this week. Here is the card I finally settled on CASEing.

As per every featured stamper challenge I had to change at least 2 things in Laura's card ... here are my changes.
  • changed some of the colors
  • used a different DP from the same DP pack
  • changed the owl
  • changed the ribbon used
  • changed the sentiment
  • added the photo corner punch to the right side of card
  • changed the color of the brads used.
Don't forget to help me celebrate 12 months of blogging and win some blog candy in my post here.

Delicious Cupcake!

Just a quick card today for Beate's weekend sketch as I was out this morning and am busy this afternoon too. This week I decided to play with a new cupcake set I purchased recently but haven't had time to play with and also my new berry blaze DP which I love!

I used my circle nestabilities to create the layers for the cupcake image .... also used my brown & pink pearls as embellishments ... the ribbon is one I picked up at a cheap shop today while out.

Stamps: Cupcakes - Hero Arts
Paper: White; Pretty In Pink, Rose Red & Berry Blaze DP - SU

You're the King!

Yes I am still playing with my Elvis stamps ..... hope you aren't sick of them yet .... as I have been having so much fun with them.

This card is for this week's Mojo Monday sketch over on Poetic Artistry's blog.

I made use of my allegro cuttlebug embossing folder again for this particular card ... it works so well with Elvis.

Elvis Elvis Elvis!

Here is another card using my new Elvis stamps ... this card is for the challenge I do with my fab/sassy friends on SCS ... our challenge this week was to create a card which used some sort of "faux" technique .... I decided to do the faux leather technique.

This is quite an easy technique to do ... all you need is masking tape ... tear it into pieces and attach it to your card overlapping as you go ... once you have covered your whole card you then can color the background using your ink pads ... I used a variety of distress inks to create mine. A tip ... let the ink dry a little on the masking tape before you rub off your excess ... this will give you a darker look. I also like to start with a slightly larger card that I need and cut it down to size when I have finished the technique.

The layout here is another SFYTT sketch from Iheart2stamps blog. I colored Elvis' jacket using my new gold spica pen I received on Monday ... it gives it a great glittery look in real life.

Brother In Law

This weeks sketch challenge on SCS required that the main panel of the card be no wider than 1.5 inches (approx 3.75cm) ... my first thought when looking for an image was to use flowers but as the two samples shown were already flowers I wanted to go in a different direction. I then spied this long "Brother" image from a new set I received for my birthday ... the set is called "For the Men" and is available through Cornish Heritage Farms.

At first I was only going to use the word Brother ... but then I realised that I don't have a brother ... my DH doesn't nor to my girls or their partners so I decided to include the word "in Law" which is also part of this set ... and then I can give this to my daughter to give to one of her brother in laws.

To create this card I stamped the images in Really Rust SU card .... I used my sponging block to sponge the edges and I also used my distressing tool to distress all the edges. Of course I also used my distress stripes cuttlebug embossing folder (yes I love this one too) to do the creamy caramel panel behind the image.

Recipe:
Stamps: For the Men Set - Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: White; Black; Really Rust & Creamy Caramel - SU
Other: Black Ink; Creamy Caramel SU Ink; Distress Strips Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Photo Corner Punch; Rust Brads; Hodgepodge Hardware; Distressing Tool; Foam Tape

Howdy!

Here is my card for this week's MFT sketch challenge on the MFT members forum of SCS.

The cowgirl image is in a rectangle frame so for this card I stamped the image twice once on white and the 2nd time on Memory Box' Flirt DP ... paper pieced the image and then cut out around the cowgirl. I then cut out my large circles and drew in the arc and colored in the white circle as needed and then attached the cowgirl over the top of the circle, rounding the image to the circle shape at the top.

I used my distressed stripes cuttlebug embossing folder to decorate my river rock panel ... which I then colored using ruby red SU ink.

Recipe: Stamps: Ride Em Cowgirl - My Favorite Things
Paper: White; Ruby Red, River Rock & Chocolate Chip - SU; Flirt DP - Memory Box
Other: Black Ink; Ruby Red & Chocolate Chip SU Inks; Distress Stripes Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Circle Nestabilities; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Brown Brad; Foam Tape

Elvis Lives!!!

Hi everyone ... look what I got for my birthday today from my wonderful DH! The new Elvis stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms .... don't they just rock!!!!!!!

I have spent a wonderful day ... listening to Elvis on my computer and creating this card ... I think I will always have to listen to Elvis music when I am using my Elvis stamps hehe! Not that I need any excuse to listen to him of course!

I used this week's SFYTT sketch from Jen's IHeart2Stamp's blog .... I also got the opportunity to play with a few other recent purchases that I hadn't used as yet .... the allegro cuttlebug embossing folder and the Star wheel from SU.

Normally on a Monday I would have a challenge card for you that I do with my goofy CCEE friends on SCS ... but because it was Easter this weekend and some of the girls are away we thought we would take a break .... although some of us say the real reason is we are breaking for my birthday ... hahaha ... just joking!

Recipe:
Stamps: Finger Clickin' Elvis & Elvis - Cornish Heritage Farms; Star Wheel - SU
Paper: White; Black; Real Red - SU
Other: Black Ink; Real Red SU Ink; Allegro Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Word Window Punch; Circle Nestabilities; Black Brads; Red Brad; Foam Tape

Sweet One!

I hope you are all enjoying these Easter Holidays. Today I decided to do the Featured Stamper challenge .... today the featured stamper is Amy Sheffer aka PickleTree on SCS ... Amy is also a fellow design team member of H & M Stamps a new company who stamps will be released in early May.

Amy has a fantastic gallery and it was pretty hard to decide which card to CASE ... but as she had a couple of cards in her gallery that used stamps I had recently received but hadn't had a chance to use yet ... I decided to CASE one of those. You can see the card I CASEd here.

As per the rules of the Featured Stamper challenge I had to change at least 2 things ... here are my changes:
  • change the card from a baby boy to a baby girl
  • changed the colors
  • changed the ribbon used
  • omitted the faux stitching in the square panel
  • changed the brad at the top of the square panel
Recipe:
Stamps: So Many Scallops - Stampin' Up
Paper: White; Pretty In Pink, Regal Rose & Barely Banana - SU
Other: Regal Rose & So Saffron SU Inks; Circle Nestabilities; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Pink Polka Dot Ribbon; Pink Glitter Brad; Foam Tape

Tricking the Tooth Fairy!

I am still playing with Melanie Muenchinger's "What's in your tin" sets ... these are so fun to play with and so easy to use to decorate those little altoid tins. This set is avail from Gina K Designs.

Now I liked the ides of a tin for kids to leave their teeth in when they fall out so that the tooth fairy can easily come and collect it and replace it with money ... so much easier then when my kids were little and you used to leave it in a glass of water or under the pillow!

My problem is though that I don't have little kids anymore ... my children are adults and as yet I don't have grand kids either .... so why would i need a tin for the tooth fairy. Then this morning while chatting to a friend and creating another tin ... I remember about those fun teeth lollies that you can get here .... not sure if you guys get them up in the US or not ... but they have been around for years here so I figured why not make a tin for the tooth fairy and place one or two of those teeth lollies (candy) in the tin and see if the tooth fairy will come to me ... bwahahaha!

Here is my tin opened with the teeth lollies (sweets or candy... whatever you call them where you live) .... I heard recently that the price for one tooth is quite high these days ... well there are lots of teeth here so I should make a fortune ;)

I used the label stamp from this set to create my label for the top and inside of my tin .... but for this particular tin I decided to stamp on the back of my DP and used that as a guide to cut around .... so that my DP was all DP with no stamped borders .... I like how I have so many options with these sets.

I surfed to find a template of a tooth as I don't have a stamp of one (another hole in my stamp collection hehe). Oh and I even stamped thanks on the inside of the tin for when the tooth fairy leaves me all that money ... hahaha!

Stamps: What's in your Tin set 1 & Rectangle Greetings - Gina K Designs;
Paper: White; Cherry Mint Stripe DP - Scrapbooking Aust
Other: Black Ink; Green Grosgrain Ribbon; Teeth Sweets; Altoid Tin

Life is Sweets!

Here is another tin I created using the "What's in Your Tin" sets designed by Melanie Muechinger and available through Gina K Designs. This time round I decided to make a lolly/sweet tin which would be suitable to give to someone.

To decorate my tin I started with the pretty in pink DP in the new Designer Prints Pack ... I stamped one of the labels from the set onto my pink DP and cut it out around the edge of the stamped image. I stamped the sentiment towards the top of the label so I had room to add my prima flowers which I embellished with raindrop accents.

I attached ribbon to the side of the lid and added some of the larger rain drops around the side of the base for something different.

Here is the inside view of my tin with the goodies/sweets! As you can see I stamped "guilt-free goodies" but then crossed out the guilt portion using a black pen .... I figure it I was giving these to someone ... they would classify as free goodies ... right!

Fishing!

Here is another Riley card for you to see .... I have released that other than the card I posted on Monday which had Sophie & Riley together ... that all the cards I have made since have all featured Riley ... I will try and get a Sophie card made during the week to share with you all!

This card is for this week's Hanna Stamps Challenge over at the Hanna Stamps Forums on SCS ... this week the challenge was a sketch one ... which as most of you know are always my favorite challenges to do.

This is a fairly easy sketch ... I posted my circle slightly off-centre to allow for the bow in the ribbon.

Recipe:
Stamps: Fishing Riley - Hanna Stamps
Paper: White: Not Quite Navy & Chocolate Chip - SU; DP - Basic Grey
Other: Black Ink; Brown Brads; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Circle Nestabilities; Foam Tape

Camping Out!

When I first saw these two Riley images, I just knew I had to use them in a scene together..... so I was quite pleased when I saw that Beate's weekend sketch challenge for this week was suitable to use with these particular stamps.

If I created this particular card again I would probably omit the moon where I have stamped it ... and used a different moon image and use it in the large circle in the top left corner ... but as I had already stamped it and had no way of disguising it ... I had to go a different direction. And after all that masking & coloring I was going to do it all over again. I also tried to come up with "Moose" sentiments suitable ... the only one I liked referred to day and this is a night scene ... so I gave that a miss too!

Recipe:
Stamps: Campfire Riley; Tent Riley; Tis the Season Hanna Set (trees); My Best Friend Hanna Set (grass); Route 66 Hanna Set (moon) - Hanna Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Bordering Blue - SU

Hay, How Are You!

Did you know that Hanna Stamps released 15 new Riley and Sophie stamps this week ..... they are all so cute and I am finally getting sometime to be able to play with a few of them ... here is one I made today.

The layout for this one is based on this weeks Mojo Monday card which is on Poetic Artistry's blog. I didn't add the flourishes which were on the original sketch as I didn't think it suited the image I was using on my card.

The DP is some more I got from my friend Tosh ... thanks Tosh :) ..... this one is called Flirt by Memory Box.

Recipe:
Stamps: Tractor Riley - Hanna Stamps; Sentiment - Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers
Paper: White; Black; Grey; Flirt DP - Memory Box
Other: Black Ink; Celeste Blue Impress Ink; Oval Nestabilities; Black Brads; Foam Tape

The Essentials!

Happy Easter everyone! Today I have been playing around with Melanie Muenchinger's " What's in your tin 2" set which is available through Gina K Designs. There are 2 sets in this series which allows you to decorate altoid tins for all sorts of things. Melanie has some wonderful examples of using these sets on her blog if you like to check it out.

I decided to have my tin hold some essentials that a girl may need on some occasions .... a small sewing kit; bandaids; pills for a headache; nail cutters & a file.

The DP I used here was one my friend Tosh sent me for my birthday .... it is called Inspire by Memory Box .... I used two different pieces for this pack to get the layers I needed.

I also punched a hole in the side of the tin to thread through the ribbon ... so that it is easy to carry or pick up when needed. The sewing related items on the top of the tin are actually buttons I have had for some time which I thought went well with this particular theme

Egg-stra Special Easter!

Our challenge for this week with my sassy/fab friends on SCS was to create an Easter card .... as I also wanted to make a card for celebrate MFT which is held on the 20th of every month ... I decided to grab those stamps to create my card. And yes it is already the 20th here where I live!

This is a fairly quick design to create .... I have made a few cards in the past using this layout but as I do love the layout I decided to make another. I stamped the image onto white card and then used my nestabilities to cut our my circles. The scallop along the bottom edge of my layered panel was created using my corner rounder punch. I also added 3 rows of paper Piercing along the bottom edge of the card just below my sentiment.

Recipe:
Stamps: Sentiment from Eggstra Special Easter Set; Hoppy Easter - My Favorite Things
Paper: White; Pretty In Pink & Cameo Coral - SU; Confetti DP - My Minds Eye
Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Corner Rounder Punch; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Pink Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape

Cranberry Bird

Today I had a couple of friends over for a club we have every month. As it is my birthday this coming Monday (Easter Monday) .... we also got to have birthday cake and I got some presents. Both friends gave me DP as part of my birthday present so I thought I would use one of those for today's sketch challenge card. The bird is one I got in a set on the weekend when I was at the paper crafts show that was up here.

The sketch today consists of 3 pieces across the centre panel .... I decided to have the two end pieces match using the DP one of my friends gave me and the middle piece is card which I embossed using the fantasy flower embossing folder and then used my sponging blocks to add the black to the panel. The bird was stamped using cranberry crisp ink on vanilla card and layered to black card .... I used old paper distress ink on the edges of this piece.

Recipe:
Stamps: Birds Galore - Inkadinkadoo
Paper: Vanilla, Cranberry Crisp & Barely Banana - SU; Glam DP - Crate Paper
Other: Black Ink; Cranberry Crisp SU Ink; Old Paper Distress Ink; Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon;
Petaloo Flowers; Foam Tape

Wanna Bone?

Here is my card for this week's MFT sketch challenge which is held over on the MFT Member Forums of SCS.

I am trying to use a different set each week for this challenge as it is a good way of getting to use all the sets I have here ... this week I decided to use "Let's go for a Walk" .... I haven't used it for a while. When I was trying to decide what sentiment to use for this card I ended up choosing "Wanna Bone" from the Twisted Sentiments set .... looks to me those dogs are all heading for a party so I am sure they are all expecting bones to eat ... hehe!

I used my Swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder again to do my background on my chocolate chip card .... yes I probably will end up wearing out this folder as it is getting lots and lots of use already!

Wedding Wishes

Happy Monday ... which means it is time for another challenge with my goofy CCEE friends on SCS. I quickly made this card last night after I got home from the last day at the Paper Crafts show where I was demoing all weekend .... normally I would have had my card made at least a few days before the challenge was due.... but because I had a busy stamping schedule last week and also wasn't home for the last 4 days, I just didn't have time.

Our challenge this week was to use vellum somehow in our card. When I was first thinking about this challenge I had planned on doing a different technique to the one that I have here. In the end I decided to use my cuttlebug embossing folders to emboss the vellum .... I used adhesive vellum so it was easy to attach that to my card after embossing.

Once I had embossed my vellum, I decided I just had to use the new Bride & Groom Riley & Sophie stamps to create a wedding card. If you like this stamp ... keep an eye on Hanna Stamps site as I believe these will be released this week, along with a few more Riley & Sophie stamps.

Recipe:
Stamps: Bride & Groom Riley & Sophie - Hanna Stamps; Sentiment - My Favorite Things
Paper: White; Wisteria & Jubilee Bazzill; Vellum
Other: Black Ink; Wisteria Fluid Chalks; Circle Nestabilities; Textile Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Word Window Punch; Ribbon; Foam Tape

Bits and Pieces

Hi everyone ... I will have a card to share with you all a little later today but before I get that done I thought I would share a few things with you.

First up ... Design Team news .... a few months ago I was asked by Heather Rolin to be part of her new design team she needed for her new company she is starting called H&M Stamps .... Heather has now shared this info on her site so I can make it available to all of you too .... H&M Stamps will go on sale on May 10th.

I am looking forward to being able to share these stamp designs with you in the near future.

I know we have a few people who visit my blog that share my love of owls and owl stamps! Have you seen the new release stamps from High Hopes Rubber Stamps yet?? They have some wonderful stamp which I shall just HAVE to order soon..... but they also have just released an Owl and 2 owl sentiments .... you can see them here.

The owl is called "Frances Owl" and yes she named it after me .... I feel so honored that she would do that :)

Floral Happy Birthday!

Here is another card using the new "framed flowers" set which are designed by Carolyn King and available through Gina K Designs.

Recently Carolyn hosted a challenge on the Gina K forum on SCS which was to use the colors green & purple .... so I wanted to use these colors when I created this card.

The flowers are colored using markers so I could get the individual colors to the flowers.

Engagement Wishes!

I had a fun day today as I am demoing at a local paper crafts show this weekend, today was the first day of the show and it was fun catching up on people who read my blog regularly. Thank you to all those who came up and said hi ... it is great to know someone reads this :).

I needed an engagement card for my daughter and her partner in a couple of weeks time and I had taken the stamp out this morning and put on my desk to remind me to make it ... when I saw Beate's weekend sketch for this week I decided it was just the right sketch for the image I wanted to use.

I stamped the image onto white card using black ink ... the dress for the girl was stamped on Papertrey Inks new patterned paper and paper pieced over her dress .... I used my paper piercing mat & tool to pierce the top corners of this card and then layered it to my rectangle nestabilities. I did have to join my scallop rectangle to get the size I needed for this image.

I used my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder for the background of my base card ... I have a feeling this embossing folder is going to get a lot of use ... it has to be one of my favorites.

I didn't have the sentiment in the size I needed to so used my computer to generate the sentiment and printed it out. .. after layering it to my card I added 2 blue pearls that I purchased today at the show to the top corners of the sentiment.

Recipe:
Stamps: Sealed with a Kiss - Paper Pretties
Paper: White; Soft Sky & Bordering Blue - SU; DP - Papertrey Ink
Other: Black Ink; Bordering Blue SU Ink; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Rectangle Nestabilities; Blue Striped Ribbon; Paper Piercing Mat & Guide; Blue Pearls; Foam Tape

Ruff, Ruff!

Here is another doggie card using the new Hanna Stamps small breeds set which is to be released today Friday 14th March .... isn't he just so cute!

For this card I have combined two challenges ... firstly it is this weeks SFYTT which can be found on Jen's Iheart2stamps blog. It is also this weeks Hanna Stamps Challenge which can be found in the Hanna Stamps Member Forum on SCS..... this week challenge is use scallops on your card ... I decided to use my scallop oval nestabilities for that challenge.

The top panel of this card was created using my distressed stripe cuttlebug embossing folder. The paws are actually buttons that I glued to the right side of the lower panel. Again I am not sure what "ruff, ruff, bow wow wow" means I am not good at speaking dog ... but maybe it means Hope you have a nice day! The long stripe with the stars ... is actually part of a lead from this set ... and was stamped 3 times to create the border here.

Recipe:
Stamps: Small Breeds - Hanna Stamps
Paper: White; Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel & Chocolate Chip - SU; DP - ???
Other: Black Ink; Chocolate Chip SU Ink; Oval Nestabilities; Distressed Stripe Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Paw Buttons; Foam Tape

I am not 100% sure what bark, bark, bark means but maybe in this case it could mean green, green, green.

Today I decided to combine my challenge I do with my fab sassy friends on SCS each week with the new Hanna Stamps which are going to be released this Friday 14th March. Our challenge this week was inspired by the approaching St Patrick's Day ... so we had to create a card using just green! I wouldn't normally color roses a greenish color .... but I know my fab sassy friends will be looking at this closely so I can assure you that other than a little brown (we were allowed to use neutral colors ... and brown is a neutral color) every here is green.

The stamps used here are from 2 of the new Hanna Stamps sets which will be released this week .... the topiary is from the small breeds set and the dog is from the large breeds set ... these sets are fantastic esp if you are a dog lover!

The background used here is created using the Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder ... this is one of the easiest folders to match up when you are creating a larger card ... you will need to turn the card over and carefully use a stylus to poke a row of dots out ... but that is pretty easy to do.

I cut out 2 rectangle scallop nestabilities and joined them to create the scallop layer to the dog panel.

Recipe:
Stamps: Small Breeds & Large Breeds - Hanna Stamps
Paper: White; River Rock & Old Olive - SU; DP - Imaginisce
Other: Black Ink; River Rock SU Ink; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Rectangle Nestabilities; Green Brads; Green Grosgrain Ribbon - Papertrey Ink; Foam Tape

Cammie's Flowers

This card is for this week's sketch challenge over at SCS. I decided to playing with another of the new sets I got from Gina K Designs this morning ... this set is called Framed Flowers and was designed by my friend Carolyn King aka Cammie on SCS.

I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder to create the background on the blue panel .... and my circle nestabilities to create my circles.

Recipe:
Stamps: Framed Flowers & Punch Words - Gina K Designs
Paper: White; Cool Caribbean & Chocolate Chip - SU; DP - Basic Grey
Other: Black; Chocolate Chip SU Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Word Window Punch; Blue Brads; Brown Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape

Let's Meet For Coffee!

My Gina K Designs stamps which were released yesterday arrived today ... so of course I had to sit down and create a card using them.

I decided to combine this week's SCS color challenge (Pomegranate; Basic Grey & Black) with the sketch challenge that Carolyn King hosted yesterday at the Gina K Designs release party over at the Member forums on SCS. I used the "Thinking of You" set which is designed by a new designer for Gina K .... Rupa Shevda!

The background is created using the swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder ... if you haven't noticed I just love this folder. I used my corner rounder to create the scallops at the bottom of the black and pomegranate panels ... layering them once I had punched the scallops. Gina had also included some fun flowers and brads ... which were just the perfect color for this week's color challenge ... I think she must have ESP :) .... because that was exactly what I needed to finish my card off.

Recipe:
Stamps: Thinking of you - Gina K Designs
Paper: White; Black; Pomegranate & Basic Grey - SU
Other: Black; Pomegranate SU Ink; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Ticket Corner Punch; Corner Rounder Punch; Black & White Stripe Ribbon; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Flower & Brad - Gina K Designs; Foam Tape

Getting Physical!

Here is another Hanna Stamps sneak peek for you today .... Hanna is getting physical! So many people these days are aware of the importance of keeping fit and this set fits this theme so well ... besides the dumb bells shown here this set also includes such things as a skipping rope, scales etc.

The colors for this card were taken from the DP I selected .... I used my numbers collage cuttlebug embossing folder on the orange panel at the top of the card ... I figured numbers had a lot to do with exercising or fitness .... oh and I hadn't used that one yet and I just had to hehe.

I also got some fun fitness charms from Karen Foster recently so of course had to add one of those to my card as well.

Don't forget this set "Getting Physical", along with 4 other sets will be released by Hanna Stamps this coming Friday 14th March and Hanna Stamps are offering you a 10% discount if you purchase 3 of the 5 new released stamps.

Paper: White; Pumpkin Pie, Pretty In Pink & Ruby Red - SU; DP - ???
Other: Black Ink; Numbers Collage Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Pink Brads; Charm; Pink Ribbon

Ralph & Some Treasure!

Well this is my final card as DT member for Rubbernecker Stamps .... the 8 weeks just flew by and it was a lot of fun. Of course you will still see cards made by this company on my blog as I love the stamps and am sure it won't be that long before I feel I need to buy some more ;)

For this card I just couldn't resist combine "Ralph picking up the paper" and the "Alley Background". I also made it a daytime scene by coloring the moon yellow to make it into a sun. This was pretty simple to create .... I stamped Ralph and then masked him and then used my stamp positioner to stamp the alley background scene. I also masked the scene so that I could sponge the grass and sky.

I also changed the look of the sentiment used here .... to do this I again made use of my stamp positioner so I got each word in the correct place.

Recipe: Stamps: Ralph picking up paper; Alley Background & Sentiment - Rubbernecker Stamps
Paper: White; Black; Jacaranda - Bazzill
Other: Black Ink; More Mustard & Old Olive SU Ink; Celeste Blue Impress Ink; Hodgepodge Hardware; Foam Tape

Mikey's Pleasures!

You have all been wondering if Hanna Stamps would be bringing out a male to their range ... well let me introduce you to Mikey! This will be one of the 5 sets that will be released this Friday 14th March by Hanna Stamps. This is a great set to own to create cards for the men in our lifes!

These are unusual colors for me to use together but I wanted to incorporate this week's color challenge that is running in the Hanna Stamps Member forum over at SCS..... the colors we had to use were more mustard, ballet blue and garden green.

The background I used for the wall is just done by scrunching up a tissue so you have some texture .... then inking it using your stamp pad and dabbing it over the area you want the background ... I do suggest if you try this that you first stamp off a little on scrap paper ... you can always add more color but if you go direct to your card and it is too dark it is too late to remove it .... kwim!

Oh btw ... Kristi is offering a great specials this week ... for more details check out Kristi's blog ...
also check out while you are there the copic markers that she is selling!

Paper: White; Black; More Mustard, Ballet Blue & Garden Green - SU

Cattitude!

This card is for this week's MFT sketch challenge over at the MFT forum of SCS. I have had this cat themed DP for a while now so thought it would be fun to use that so of course I grab the cat from the cat 'n dog stamp set from MFT.

I decided to make the strip along the bottom of the card resemble a cat collar .... I added the buckle and some rhinestones. I also added some rain dots to the corners of the cat image.

Recipe: Stamps: Cat 'n Dog Set - My Favorite Things
Paper: White; Chocolate Chip & Really Rust - SU; Cat DP - Bo Bunny Press
Other: Black Ink; Hodgepodge Hardware Buckle; Oval Punches; Rhinestones; Rain Dots; Foam Tape
