Ho Ho Ho

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a fun Christmas card using a tutorial from Sam Calcott. This is called a Floating Cube Tower Card and you can find her tutorial here.

I opted to just make the half version of the card, adding the 4 cubes to the left side of the card. The full version would have the cubes on both sides.

To decorate my card, I used Spellbinders Chimney Capers die set.  I added the “Ho Ho Ho” sentiment to the moon area. I also added two strip sentiments to the bottom of the card using the Marry & Bright Sentiment Strip Betterpress set.

I added the “Merry Christmas” sentiment which is a foil plate from Waffle Flower, and also added another of the strip sentiments I used on the front.

Here For The Presents

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have a Christmas themed Shaker Card to share with you using products from Hero Arts Best Gift Ever Collection.

Using the stencil in this collection I stencilled 6 different panels in each of the colours used for the presents which you can see in the card above. I have lots of presents left over to make more cards using this collection.

Once I had the stencilled presents, I pulled out my glimmer machine and the Press Plate/Glimmer plate and gold foiled all the bows over the presents, this was pretty easy to line up.

I then used the coordinating die to die cut all the presents, which gave me a number of frames I could stack up to form my shaker well for my card.

I added the shaker elements to the shaker portion of the card and then added another frame to. which I had cover the back with acetate.

To finish the front of the card I used a sentiment from the coordinating Press Plate Sentiment set. I used the negative image for this particular card.

For the inside of the card, I added another sentiment from the Press Plate/Glimmer Sentiment set. I also added a Merry Cristhmas Betterpress image from Spellbinders under the sentiment. Both sentiments are also the negative image.

To finish off the inside, I added one of the extra presents I have in my stash for other cards.

Snowman Post

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Postage Collage Christmas Card using products from Waffle Flower Crafts & Spellbinders.

The stencil to create the Snowman design is called Snowman and is from Waffle Flower Crafts. this is another stencil I got last year and ran out of time to use it, so I made sure I added it to my supplies to make cards this year.

For the background I used Spellbinders Snowfall Shimmer Betterpress Plate which I glimmered onto Waterfall cardstock using white foil. As I created a 5 x 7 card, I had to glimmer the card twice, the plate isn't continuous, but it doesn't look to noticeable seeing only a small amount is seen around the background.

The sentiment is another Betterpress plate from Spellbinders whic was also glimmered this time with black foil. These sentiments are the reverse using the left over foil from the first foiling.

For the inside I added another panel of the glimmered background.

I then added a glimmered sentiment and two postage cancellation images.

November 2025 Karen Burniston Designer Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our November Karen Burniston Designer Challenge.

Check out Karen Burniston's blog on Wednesday (US Time) when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month, plus Karen will have an amazing video tutorial to share with us all.

Our challenge theme this month is .. "FUN FACES" - Use the Fun Faces 1 Stamp set on a card of any theme.

I wanted to make a Christmas card, so I pulled out the Fun Faces 1 stamp set and the Gnome and Santa die set for this challenge.

For the pop up portion of the card, I used the Lorna Labels Pop up along with the Merry Christmas Lorna Add-ons die set.

I added a snowy border along the bottom of the card using white glitter cardstock and the Nature Edges die set.

I used the reindeer from the Christmas Animals die set which I added to my snow.

To finish decorating the inside of my card, I die cut the trees from the Evergreen Pivot Panels die set. I used the Fun Faces 1 stamp set to add faces to all the trees. I also added a few snowflakes from this die set to decorate the top portion of the card.

For the front of the card, I repeated the snow, reindeer & trees (complete with faces) to create a wintery scene.

I added a stamped sentiment to the top left corner of the card, using the Christmas Wishes stamp set & a label die from the Crosshatch Rectangles & Labels die set.

Cheesiest Birthday Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a fun Easel Card I created for a birthday card for my daughter celebrated her birthday recently.

This card uses stamps and dies from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Going Against the Grain Collection which was released a few months ago.

I die cut the cheeseboard die to created the easel portion of the card in white and brown cardstock. For the brown panels, I used the die as a stencil with brown ink to give a woodgrain look.

I stamped and die cut the images multiple times and added them to my cheeseboard.

I added the sentiments as a stopper to keep the card open.

I also added the two hands holding the wine glasses, doing a reverse image for the one of the left and added them to my card.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an evelope.

Here is the look at the inside of the card. The brown woodgrain base only goes partially up the base of the card. I then have some white space at the top to add a personal message.

Easel cards have lots of areas that can be decorated if you wish. So I decided to add another sentiment and some die cut cheese slices to decorate the back of the card.

Stencilled Snowman

Hi Crafty Friends,

I am still having fun playing with the products from Spellbinders October 2025 Club kits. For this card I used the Stencil of the month, Frosty Wishes. I used the stencil to allow me to trace & cut out the hat band from red glitter cardstock. I used the wax seal of the month to add the embellishment to the hat.

For the sentiment I used one of the stamps from the Clear Stamp of the month, which I white embossed on cranberry card.

For the inside of my card, I added the Cool Yule sentiment from Hero Arts.

For You Reindeer

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Today I am sharing a fun Christmas themed card I created recently using products from Spellbinders October 2025 Club kits.

For this card I used the Peppermint Prancer die set which is the Stitched die of the month, however I opted  not to stitch this. I also used this months Caboodle set so that I could add the sentiment. For the background I used the Holiday Flurry Embossing Folder from this month.

I kept the inside simple, just adding the sentiment which is from the North Pole Friends Sentiment die set.

From Our Home To Yours

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have another fun Christmas card to share. This is another Easel Card, but this time around I created a 5 x 7 version.

For this card, I focused on Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for October which is Window Wonderland, this i s such a fun die set.

For the background of this card, I used the Brick by Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  I added two stamped sentiments to the card using the Clear Stamp set of the month.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

For the base of my card, I only added the glitter cardstock to the part of the base which is visible when in the easel position. I kept the rest plain so I had a place to write a personal message.

Build A Snowman Slimline Easel

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a Christmas themed Slimline Easel card I created using products from Spellbinders.

The theme for the Spellbinders October 2025 Club Kits is a Christmas/Winter theme and while it is Summer down here in Australia at Christmas time, I am loving all the new kits.

For the sky portion of my card, I used the Magic Wonderland Glimmer Plate to foil a panel of Malibu Cardstock with white foil. This was pretty easy to repeat on my slimline panel without any obvious lines.

I then used the Snow Day Friends which is the Small Die of the month to create my scene. I added two sentiments to the base of the card both of which are also included in the kits.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

And the inside panel. I added glitter card to the base, so it looked like the snow used on the main image. There is still plenty of areas to write a personal message on this card.
