Chocolate Makes Everything Better

 

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a sweet 5 x 7 card I created recently using some of the products from Hero Arts Beary Sweet Collection. 

For this card I decided to create a giant chocolate bear along with a few chocolate covered gummi bears ... yummy!! For this card I used the Bear Hugs die set which has both the large and small gummi bears included in the set.

I pulled out an older sentiment from The Stamps of Life to add to the top of the card, along with an older speech bubble die from MFT Stamps.

For the inside I found an older long sentiment from Stampendous which I thought was perfect for the inside and added a few more of the chocolate covered gummi bears.

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a Slimline card using some of the new products from Spellbinders Make It & Bake It Collection by Tina Smith.

For this card I used the Measure Mates and the Fluff, Frost & Roll die sets for all the images on the card.

I wanted to use the coordinating embossing folder on my background. This is a directional embossing folder and 5 inches wide. My card is 8 inches wide. So I had to do so partial embossing to get a full image. It’s not perfect, but the images hide the join,

To finish off the front of the card, I added the “hello” sentiment.

For the inside of the card, I added two more images left over from decorating the front. I also added a sentiment from the Sugared Expressions stamp set.

Today I am sharing a masculine birthday card using products from the Let the Good Times Roll Collection from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott. 

I used the Diamond Showstopper die set for my card base, adding a panel to the right hand side. I added the image from the Just the Guys stamp set.

I added the “Cheers” from the Cheeky Sentiments die set to the area with the diamonds.

I added a panel to the back of the card and added another two sentiments.

 

Another Birthday

Today I am sharing a floral birthday card using products from two recent releases from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott. 

For this card I used the tulips from the Large Tulips stamp/die set and the Diamond Showstopper die set.

I added a sentiment to the card using the Large Crocues stamp/die set. 

There isn’t much room to add layers on the back, so I added white panels to the centre squares. One with a sentiment and one blank to write a personal message.

It’s been a while since I posted, but I finally have managed to get a few cards made & photographed so I could get them blogged.

For my card today I am playing with the Made to Make kit 2 designed by Sam Calcott, this kit was so popular it was sold out even before it was sent. I always love a nautical theme and couldn’t wait to play with the lighthouse die from the kit.

For my card base, I used the Cracker Tower die set from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott.

I added layers on the back of the card, so I could add another sentiment and be able to add a personal message.

Tee-riffic Micey Birthday

For as long as I can remember (over 25 years) I have made my friend who loves to play golf a golf themed birthday card.  I am a little late getting her card to her this year, as making cards takes more time for me these days, but I did get there in the end!

When I was thinking about what type of card to make this year, I thought about a golf ball and decided it might be fun to make a golf ball themed Easel Card.

Sometime back I purchased some of the Meet the Mice dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, including the golf themed die set. So I pulled them out to use for my card today. To make the mouse work for a female golfing card, I selected pink cardstock colours for the outfit.

To get the golf ball effect on the large circle panel I used the Bubbles Embossing Folder from Made To Surprise. The sentiment on the bottom portion of the card is also from Made To Surprise and is from the Go Sporty Stamp/Die Set. I actually cut the stamps apart a little, so I could customise the wording how I needed it to be.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed, ready to be placed in an envelope. My finished card is just under 6 inches in diameter.
