You Are Stronger Than You Think

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Floating Cube Card using products from Spellbinders, including a few kits from the December 2025 Caboodle Club.

This card is for a friend, who has just been diagnosed with cancer. Cancer sucks, as I know too well, was I was diagnosed last February 2024, and have been having treatment since then. It's been a hard road and is a journey I will be continuing for the rest of my life. My friend has been so very supportive during my journey,  and I will make sure I will be supportive of her during hers.

For my card I used the Large DIe of the Month for December 25 - Wrapped in love. For the background I used a 3D Embossing Folder from November 25 - Petite Tuft. I added a sentiment using Concord & 9th's Written Words 2 stamp/die set designed by Kristina Werner.

For the back of the card I created the lower part of the girl, starting with the slippers and pj pants. I used the Cozy Toes Bear die set, which is the Annual freebie Spellbinders sent out to all Caboodle subscribers. This works with the October 24 Large Die of the Month - Cozy Toes Friends die set. I hand cut the dressing gown, adding a lacy die cut along the bottom. I added the belt and die using the Charmed Life die4 set which is from November 25.

To finish of the card I added another of the sentiments from the Concord & 9th Written Words 2 Stamps/Die set.

Here is a look at my card, when it is folded ready to placed in an envelope. Folded it measures 4 1/2 inches x 7 inches, so it will fit inside a 5 x 7 envelope.

Slimline Ornaments

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two Slimline Christmas cards I created recently. I made these a few weeks ago, but haven't had the time or energy to take photos to add them to my blog.

For these two cards I used Concord & 9th's Ornaments Stencil Pack designed by Kristina Werner. I am loving her stencil packs as they are all 6 x 9 stencil packs which means they are ideal for larger cards like Slimline and 5 x 7 cards which is what I prefer to make. I used four different shades of inks for the ornaments and a darker shade for the snowflake on each ornament, I then cut the panel into two panels to create slimline cards.

I added a reverse foiled sentiment to the inside of the cards. Being that these are Christmas cards, I kept the inside fairly simple.

Happy 90th

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a 90th birthday card I created for a friend who is turning 90 in December. As December is a busy month and very hot down here in Australia, he had his party early.

For the card base, I used Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Side Panel Card die set which creates a 5 x 7 inch card.

For the blue panels, I pulled out Kristina Werner's Dots on Dots Stencil Pack. I love that she is creating 6 x 9 stencils as I love making larger cards and this gives me more options.

The "Happy", "Birthday" and "90th" are also from Made To Surprise.

I used the whiskey glasses from Spellbinders Love on the Rocks die set for the middle portion of the card.

This is a look at the back of the card. I added the white panel and added a stamped sentiment, leaving enough room for a personal message to be added.

Christmas Slippers

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing three Christmas cards using Spellbinders Cozy Toes Slippers die set that was the large die of the month for October 2024. This was such a popular set that they have released a coordinating set that can be used all round. But before I use that sent I wanted to play a little more with the Christmas version.

For my first card I added Santa to the slippers. I also added a couple of sentiments.

The next one features Rudolph. It’s fun to select the papers for the pjs. Again I added the two sentiments.

For my final card, I used the cute penguins. This time round, I crossed the legs when I attached them to the card.

I added a stamped sentiment to the inside of the card, keeping it fairly simple.

Ornament Season's Greetings

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing yet another Christmas card. This one is a Slimline Floating Cube card and is another tutorial from Sam Calcott. You can find her instructions on how to create this here.

Recently when I was looking for a die, I discovered that I had several ornaments already assembled from Elizabeth Craft Designs Winter Ornaments die set. This is an older die set, but it seemed silly not to use some of the ornaments,  so I pulled them out for this card.

I added a foiled sentiment to the bottom of the card, which is a Spellbinders Betterpress Plate.

Here is a look at the back of the card. I added another one of the ornaments and a sentiment.
