Being an owl lover, I just had to add another of their owl stamp sets to my collection. This card uses the owls from Dare 2B Artzy's Hoot Hoot stamp and coordinating die sets.

Of course I had to create a pop up card and I decided to use the Train Pivot Panels die set turned on it's side to create my pop up. I cut the base of my card and the pop up panel from brown cardstock, I then used a woodgrain stencil to add detail to my card pieces to make it look a little like a tree stump. I used patterned paper for the sky area at the back of the card.

I used the leaves from KB Riley LLC's Flower Pot Pop-up die set to add around the 'tree stump'.

As there was a lot of brown on this card i colored my owls with some brighter colour and added those to each of the panels on the pop-up. You can see the pop-up portion a little better in the close-up photo above.

I added two of the sentiments included in the Hoot Hoot stamp set using the fishtail banner die from the Triple Flip die set. Adding one to the opposite corners of my card.

Here is one last photo of the inside of my card so you can see the pop-up portion of my card and how the Train Pivot Panels die set makes an amazing multi tiered pop-up.

As the focus of the card is on the inside, I kept the front of the card fairly simple. I used the Tiles Pattern Plate die set to add to the background of the front panel. As my card is slightly larger than the card front which is 4 3/4 inches x 5 5/8 inches when closed, I had to die cut 2 of the pattern plates and piece them together by overlapping. Most of the overlapping is hidden by the oval panel the owl is attached too.

I stamped one of the owls and the branch from the Hoot Hoot stamp set and layered these onto ovals from the Crosshatch - Ovals die set.

I added grass to the base of my card using one of the borders included in the Outdoor Scene die set.

To finish off my card I added another sentiment from the Hoot Hoot stamp set, using the sign dies included in the Parcel Pop-up die set.

Well that is about it from me today, thank you for dropping by. The next stop on the hop is the amazing Melody Blake

Wonderful use of the die set—and, showing little details mean a lot, the time you took to stencil all the pop up stands really makes a difference.
