Weekender 2026 Part 1

Hi Crafty Friends,

Last weekend, Spellbinders Paperarts held their annual Weekender event. This is an online event, where you purchase a kit that includes cardstock, dies, stamps etc and classes are held with 6 teachers. Being that this event is held in the USA, the time zone is a bit crazy for those of us in Australia, but I did manage to get many of the cards made on the Saturday and Sunday with a few left to make on the Monday.

Today I am sharing the first two cards I made on the weekend in the class by Kim Kesti, who works for Spellbinders.

I love this waterfall die set, it is such a unique die and one I didn't have in my stash prior to this event. This is an A2 card size.

All the products included in the kit are exclusive to the weekender kit, but they may still have a few kits left.

I always like finishing the inside of my cards when I make them, so I added another sentiment included in the kit and added some greenery around it.

For my next card, we used the jungle cat die set (or leopard as we know it). Kim's card was A2, but it was easy enough to change this to a 5 x 7 card which I prefer these days.

I added gold splatter to the base layer.

I kept the inside of this one pretty simple, adding just a sentiment and a strip of card that I also splattered.
