30 Again!

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS. It’s another fun sketch!

For my card this week I have used the MFT Stamps à la modes Big Birthday Numbers stamp set. This is an awesome stamp set which can be used to create cards for young and old!

I stamped the numbers “3” and “0” onto designer papers and cut these out and then layered these onto circles created using the Die-namics Circle STAX Set 1 and Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2 . I have used Smooth White; Blu Raspberry and Wild Cherry cardstocks on this card.

At the top of the card I used one of the labels from the Die-namics LLD Accent It - Labels and Tabs. Along the bottom under the circles I used the ribbon strip from the Die-namics Blueprints 1 set. I also added a Blu Raspberry Button and Hemp Cord.

Here is the inside of my card. I added the Die-namics Party Banner to the top of my card and the single party hat which is also included in the Die-namics Party Hat Border set. The sentiments are from the Birthday Sentiments stamp set which is this month’s triple scoop set.

I stamped the sentiment using Black Licorice ink and Wild Cherry Ink.

It’s A Cornish Heritage Farms Challenge

Hi everyone,

It’s time for another CHF challenge over on the Cornish Heritage Farms Blog . This week our challenge hostess is Steph Ackerman.

For our challenge this week Steph has challenged us to …. create your own patterned paper with CHF stamps.

For  my card this week I have used the Cornish Heritage Farms Antiques stamp set. For my background I first applied Gelatos all over my card (Butterscotch; Pistachio; Chocolate; Lime & Metallic Mint) and then used a wet whip to blend the colors together. I then used a couple of the smaller stamps from the stamp set and stamped them all over my background panel using brown ink.

For the main image I stamped this using brown ink and also colored this using gelatos, this time using a waterbrush and getting the color directly from each gelato. I added a butterfly to the bottom of the panel and then layered this onto my background layer.

To finish off my card I added some Gold Shimmer Twine and a button.

To play create a card using CHF images. You can use either CHF digi or rubber stamps to create a card or project.... anything you like as long as the stamps are Cornish Heritage Farms. (Yes, they can be older stamps.)

Favorite Color Combo

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.

This month, we are highlighting our favorite color combinations using MFT Ink, cardstock, buttons,ribbon, and felt.

My very favorite color is blue and I love love love MFT Stamps Blu Raspberry cardstock …. I have been using this a lot recently with the new Electric Red cardstock which is fast becoming my favorite red … I just can’t stop using it .  Today for my card I have used these two colors along with white using the Smooth White cardstock with is also new to MFT Stamps.

I stamped the square front porch image from Inspired by the Front Porch – Spring using the Black Licorice Ink Pad onto Blu Raspberry cardstock. This was die cut and layered using the Die-namics Square STAX Set 1 and Die-namics Square STAX Set 2.

For the Base layer I stamped the flower background from LJD Spring Backgrounds onto Smooth White cardstock using Blu Raspberry ink. The vertical panel on the left of the card is stamped using LJD Darling Dots and Electric Red ink. Along the left edge of this panel I used the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip.

To finish off the front of my card I added a bow using Electric Red Ribbon topped with a Blu Raspberry Button and Hemp Cord.

For the sentiments hanging from the button I used the “Happy” from Inspired by the Front Porch – Spring and “Birthday” from Doodle Garden Party Time and one of the tags from Die-namics Blueprints 1.

Here is the inside of my card …. I stamped the flowers from Inspired by the Front Porch – Spring using Blu Raspberry ink and the sentiment was stamped using Electric Red ink.

Happy Birthday 2 You

Hi everyone,

I have a Clean and Simple card to share with you today. I recently found a sketch online which I thought would be perfect to use with my washi tape I seem to be collecting and not using LOL. So as you can see I pulled some of my washi tape out and created this card.

For my card I used MFT Stamps Birthday Sentiments stamp set which this month’s triple scoop set … this has to be my all time favorite birthday sentiment set and I don’t think it will be going very far away from my desk EVER!

I used Sweet Tooth card on this.

Here is the inside of my card, I added just the one strip of washi this time round and added the two birthday sentiments from the Birthday Sentiments stamp set.
