Fintastic Friends

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created using the Hero Arts March My Monthly Hero Card Kit. I really liked the look of the die included in the kit which resembles a fish tank.

To create my card I used the fish tank die to die cut card from white and black cardstock. I coloured the coral, seaweed etc on the white panel and cut out these same pieces from the black panel. I then adhered the black frame over the white so that the seaweed etc looks like it is inside the tank.

I used the reactive inks that were included in the kit to create the background to my card, Reactive Blue Water, Reactive Sea Glass & Reactive Sea Salt. I used the smooching technique to create the background, adding the inks to a piece of acetate, watering down and then adding to the white card.

I stamped and die cut a few of the fish, rocks etc and added those to my card. I also added the drops to the card which were also part of the kit.

For the inside of the card I created another background using the Reactive inks and die cut this using one of the rectangles from Heffy Doodles Imperial Stitched Rectangles die set.

I added the birthday sentiment and some of the small fish to the card.
