Hi everyone,
My card today is this week’s Technique challenge on SCS which is hosted by Holly McMillen every week. This week the challenge is Rebus!
Those of you who follow my blog probably know that I host a rebus swap with a few friends where we rebus different themes using stamps. Now I have at least 3 rebus stamp sets plus many other miscellaneous rebus stamps, so when I saw this challenge this week, of course I had to play along.
For my card I decided to use a very old rebus stamp that I have had for over 15 years and haven’t used for ages … it is all the one stamp and if you can’t figure out what it says it is “You stamp to me, & I’ll stamp back!”
I also took the opportunity to use my Tim Holtz Hanging Sign Die which I purchased a few weeks back and hadn’t used yet. Of course I also had to add an owl to my card hehe. After coloring the owl, I added some copic blender fluid to a scrap of plastic shelf liner and pounced that over the owl to give it some texture.
Stamps: Rebus Sentiment – Unknown; Owl – Cornish Heritage Farms |
Paper: White; Black; Red; DP |
Other: Black Ink; Tim Holtz Hanging Sign Die; MFT Die-namic Rolled Flower Die; Yellow Candy Dot; Bird Punch; Divine Twine; Foam Tape; Copics. |
