Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I am sharing two Father's Day Cards I created recently. Father's Day isn't until September down here in Australia, but as I have a number of cards to make each year and these backgrounds looked like they would work well for male cards I decided to get a jump start.
Both cards I am sharing today are pretty much the same other than the colors used.
For my cards today I am playing with my new Concord & 9th Marbled Turnabout Stamp I got recently.
While I was playing I decided to stamp out a few using different colors of inks. For this blue card I used Distress Oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Tumbled Glass. I created 4 different backgrounds using this stamp and I think this was my favorite of the 4. I will share cards I made with the other colors at another time.
To decorate my card I added Honey Bee Stamps "Happy" die set and then added the "Father's Day" sentiment which is from a Penny Black Stamp set.
For the inside of the card I added a left over piece of the marbled cardstock I used on the front and then added a sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Best Parents stamp set.
For my second card I used Altenew inks to create my marbled background. The colors used here are Sand Dunes, Orange Cream, Milk Chocolate, Firebrick. I think this is my second favorite on the backgrounds I created.
To decorate the front of this card I use the same stamps/dies I used for the first card shown here.
The layout of this card is a little different to the first seeing this time around I had a colored panel to add my sentiment, but I still used left over marbled cardstock and the same stamp set.

You did a great job with that background stamp. Nice masculine cards!
