Songbird Reverse Easel Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

t’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As challenge hostess for March, I continue to issue the challenges.

Apparently the 12th Match is Plant a Flower Day, so for our challenge this week include a flower or flowers on your card.

I have made many Easel Cards over the years of various types, but recently I have seen a few Reverse Easel Cards around on the Internet and of course I have to give it a go.

To create my card I used Concord & 9th's Songbird Clear Stamp set which I have had sitting on my desk for a few months now. This stamp set allows you to decorate the branches for whatever season you want. I decided to go for Spring/Summer so added flowers.

I stamped the bird onto a white circle which had been die cut using a circle from the MFT Stamps Wonky Stitched Circles Stax.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope. I added Crushed Grape Nuvo Drops to the centre of the flowers after I took the photos.

On the base of the card I added a circle to the base. I then added a sentiment which is stamped using the Honey Bee Stamps Banner Builder die set, this panel is adhered to the base using foam tape which helps keep the card open.

I also added a few flowers and leaves around the top part of the circle.

This card has space on the back, so I used this to add a panel for another sentiment and a place to add a handwritten sentiment.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
