Buzzing By To Say

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenges.

Apparently September is Honey Month, so for our challenge this week use this as your inspiration…. Honey, bees, bears even stamp companies that have honey in their name!

For my card today, I decided to use all the suggestions for the challenge ... honey, bees, bears which are all stamps from Honey Bee Stamps.

As you can see I created a pop-up card using the pop up die from Karen Burniston's Explosion Pop-up die set. I positioned the pop-up die on the left side so that the wide side was towards the front and then I turned the die around to die cut the pop up again but this time so the thinner second pop-up was towards the front. This allows the bear to appear in front of the beehive.

The beehive was created using Honey Bee Stamps Beehive Box die set die. I added the bear from the Billy the Bear stamp set, adding the jacket, hat and honey jar to the bear.

On the back panel I added the tree branch from the Birds & the Bees stamp set.

I added a few bees which are from a freebie stamp/die I received with a Honey Bee Stamps order at some time.

I added the sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Hi Honey stamp set, stamping and layering using oval dies. I decorated the oval using flowers from Karen Burniston's Woven Basket Box Pop-up.

Along the bottom edge and the base of the beehive and bear, I added a grass border.

For the front of the card I created a frame using Hero Arts' Infinity Frames die set, die cutting it from black cardstock for the frame and white for the centre. I sponged blue ink around the edge of the white panel. I added the sentiment to the panel using Honey Bee Stamps Bee-You-Tiful Sentiments along with one of the "Bee" words from the Bee-You-Tiful die set.

To finish off the card I added three bees and the bee trail between the words which are all from the Build-A-Bee stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

I bee-lieve this is one of the cutest cards I've seen in a while. Your little bees on the front are adorable, and I love the beekeeper on the inside.
