Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne Grzelak who is our challenge hostess for the month has another challenge for us.
This week’s challenge is to make a CAS sympathy card.
Joanne says she struggles with CAS cards, well I know I definitely do, they often take longer for me to make then cards with all the layers and extra stuff on … crazy I know, but it’s true. I have made a couple of sympathy cards in the past using these two stamps … the Sympathy sentiment from Paper Inspirations and the Rose from Penny Black. As I love the look of these two together I decided to use them for my card today and as you can see I definitely kept it CAS. This one didn’t take me hours either hehe!
Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
Stamps: Sympathy Calligraphy – Paper Inspirations; The Look of Love (Rose) – Penny Black |
Paper: White; Green |
Other: Black Ink; Peeled Paint & Worn Lipstick Distress Markers; Foam Tape |

Such a pretty card, Frances. I love those colors.
That rose just makes this card all the more beautiful.
No one would ever know you struggle with CAS and glad this one went so well and quick for you. It really is beautiful with that particular image and sentiment.
Doesn't look like too much of a struggle to me. This is lovely.
I think that sentiment going vertically is wonderful.....and so is the RED rose!
Frances - this is gorgeous! I hope you don't mind if I CASE it! I have to make a sympathy card for a friend that lost his mom today, and the sentiment on this is simply perfection for such an occasion. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful inspiration.
Happy Crafting!

So lovely and beautiful, Frances! I love how you stamped the sentiment over the pretty rose.
CAS and gorgeous! Those stamps certainly do go together so well. I hear you on CAS cards taking longer than fussy ones. I think it's because every element has to be just right - they're much less forgiving!!
Frances,
How very pretty and the image is so lovely.

no struggle evident here, Hoots....only loveliness
BEAUTIFUL Frances!!~
