Deepest Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another sympathy card that I created recently with you. Last year when I pulled out my Betterpress supplies in readiness to make some Christmas cards, I discovered to card panels which had been either gold foiled or Betterpressed,  one was already coloured, the other diecut using a fancy rectangle die. Of course I pulled these both out and turned them both into sympathy cards which is what I need most to add to my stash of cards right now.

This card uses the Betterpress plate that came with the Betterpress System when I purchsed it some time ago. I had gold foiled it rather than put it through the Betterpress, which is one of the things I love about Betterpress plates ... you have option! It was already die cut using the largest die in Pinkfresh Studios Rounded & Braided Rectangles die set. After colouring the image, I layered it onto some gold cardstock, rounding two of the corners to match the white panel.

I created a 5 x 7 inch side folding card, and added a panel to the front which I embossed using Spellbinders Rosette Burst 3D Embossing Folder. I then added the floral panel to the card.

To finish off the card I added the sympathy senitment which is also gold foiled and is from Spellbinders Mini Everyday Messages Hot Glimmer Plate.

For the inside of the card, I added a panel the same as I used on the front of my card. I gold embossed a sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Rainbow Bridge stamp set.

Slimline Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

I received a Spellbinders Scout Die Cutting Machine for Christmas, I love that it is slimline size having a Slimline length cutting plate. With the machine came a slimline embossing folder exclusive to the Blue Misty Scout that I received. Of course I wanted to play with it so I created these 5 Slimline Sympathy cards.

I needed to a few sympathy cards to my stash, they are not cards we like to make and hopefully won't need to use for a long time, but I like to have a few on hand so I have one when needed.

For my cards today I inked the debossed side of the embossing folder using Tumbled Glass, Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks before running the panel though my Scout Die Cutting Machine. This machine even comes with plates for 3D embossing folders which by the way this plate is.

I layered the panel onto a piece of purple cardstock and then onto a side folding Slimline card.

I used Spellbinders Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate to gold foil my sentiment, which I adhered to the lower portion of the card.

To finish the card I added some Pinkfresh Studios Glacier Jewels to the lower portion of the card.

For the inside of my card, I pulled out my Paper Inspirations Sympathy wood mounted stamp and stamped it using Catherine Pooler Gold Ink. This is my favourite sympathy sentiment I have and works perfectly on a slimline card being so long.

Thinking of You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Recently when I was going through my foil plates & Betterpress plates, I came across this floral panel which had been created using my Betterpress, coloured and die cut using a stitched rectangle die. As I am in need of sympathy cards it did take long to add it to a 5 x 7 card base. I added the “Thinking of You” sentiment from Altenew to finish the card.

For the inside of the card I used the sentiment from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott’s With Sympathy stamp set. I masked off the last part of the sympathy sentiment for this card.

Square Rose Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a square floral themed sympathy card to share with you all today, using products from Divinity Designs including their January 2022 Blessings Box.

Sympathy cards are probably the hardest thing we have to make, but the new January 2022 Blessings Box from Divinity Designs, makes it a little easier. This kit contains two stamp sets which both have lots of sympathy sentiments to use either on the front or inside your card. There are also two different sympathy sentiment die sets; some pretty patterned papers and two dies (rectangle and spiral) which can be used for any occasion.

For my card today I used the Sympathy Sentiments stamp set to add my sympathy sentiment to the centre of my card.

As you can see I created a square card using the Square Card Base with Layer die set, along with the Squares die set and the Basket Weave Square Background die sets. I layered one of the patterned papers included in the Beauty in Blooms 6 x 6 paper pad between the Basket Weave die and the layer underneath.

I used the Double Stitched Circles and Circles die sets to layer the sentiment,

To decorate around the sentiment I used flowers from the Beautiful Blossoms Paper/Die Duo Set 2.

For the inside of my card, I used the Double Stitched Squares and Squares die sets to create the layers. I then used the Double Stitched Rectangles and Rectangles die sets for the sentiment which is also from the same stamp set and the front of the card.

To finish off the card, I added a couple more of the flowers from the Beautiful Blossoms Paper/Die Duo Set 2.

With Sympathy Mini Slimline

Hi Crafty friends,

Today I am sharing a sympathy card using products from both Divinity Designs January 2022 Blessings Box and their February/March 2022 Release.

The January 2022 Blessings Box includes sympathy themed stamp and die sets which make creating sympathy cards a lot easier. The February/March release has an Easter theme, however a few of the die, hot foil stamps and papers will also work for sympathy cards.

For my card today I created a Mini Slimline card using the Mini Slimline Card Base; Mini Slimline Layering Rectangles and Mini Slimline Rectangles die sets. I used one of the papers from the February/March release ... Heavenly Skies 6 x 9 paper pad.

The cross was created using the Layering Crosses die set also from that release. I die cut the crosses from  teal blue and gold cardstocks and layered them together.

I used the With Sympathy and Layers die set to add the sentiment to the right hand side of the card.

For the inside of the card, I added a leftover piece of the patterned paper to the left side of the card.

I added a sentiment from the Sorry For Your Loss Stamp set using the Mini Slimline Rectangles and Layering Rectangles die set to layer.

I added a gold cross to the left side of my card, to finish it off.

Red Deepest Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another sympathy card, using stamps, dies and papers from Divinity Designs January 2022 Blessings Box.

For my card today I created an A2 card using the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer die set, I had intended to create a Landscape card, but as I needed the room for the stamped sentiment under the label, I rotated the card to make an A2 side folding portrait card.

For the background of this card, I used the Mandala Petal Background die which I layered over one of the patterned papers from the Beauty in Blooms 6 x 6 patterned papers. I die cut the label included in the Mandala Petal Background die from white cardstock and adhered it over the blank label on the background to give the card some dimension. I then added the "With Deepest Sympathy" sentiment using the die set called With Deepest Sympathy and Layers die set.

The stamped sentiment under the die cut one is from the Sympathy Sentiments stamp set. I used one of the rectangle dies from the Mini Slimline Layering Rectangles to die cut the sentiment.

To finish off the card, I added some red pearls around the background surrounding the label.

For the inside of the card, I added a strip of the leftover paper that I used on the front of the card. I adhered this to the left side of my card.

I added another of the sentiments included in the Sympathy Sentiments stamp set.

Layered Rose Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

I love making cards, but the occasion I dislike having to make are sympathy cards. However from time to time we need them. I normally like to have a few in reserve for the times I need them, but as I used all I had last year I need to create some new ones. I plan to make at least one a month and hopefully I won't need to use them.

For my card today I used some new products from Honey Bee Stamps. For the background I used the Lace A2 Cover Plate with coordinating Layered Lace Layering Stencil Set. I don't make a lot of A2 sized cards lately as I prefer Slimline more, however as soon as I saw this set I knew I needed it!

The rose also uses a Honey Bee Stamps die set using the Lovely Layers:Roses die set.

For the sympathy sentiment I used Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil stamp set ... Mini Everyday Sentiments, as I wanted the solid black panel with a white sentiment I also used Pinkfresh Studios Solid Hot Foil Plate.

For the inside of the card, I added a border using the Lace A2 Cover Plate with coordinating Layered Lace Layering Stencil Set.

I added two sympathy sentiments using Altenew's In My Thoughts stamp set.

With Sympathy Centre Step

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have another sympathy card to share with you today using stamps, dies and papers included in Divinity Designs January 2022 Blessings Box.

This time I created a Centre Step Card using Divinity Designs A2 Center Step Card with Layers die set.

I used papers from the Beauty in Bloom Paper Pad for the layers of the card.

To decorate the card I used the Spiral Sphere die from the Blessings Box, I die cut the die from cream cardstock and then layered it to a pink circle which I die cut using the Circles die set.

I used the Layering Cross Combo 2 die set to add to the centre of the Spiral Sphere.

I added the "With Sympathy" sentiment along the bottom of the card which is also from the Blessings Box.

For the inside of my card, I added a strip of patterned paper along the bottom of the card.

I added another Spiral Sphere die cut to the centre of my card. I then added a sympathy sentiment from then Sorry for your Loss stamp set. The sentiment was layered to circles using the Double Stitched Circles and Circles die sets.

Sympathy Z Fold

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Z Fold Card using stamps, dies and papers from the Divinity Designs January 2022 Blessings Box.

Some of the products included in the Blessings Box this time around have a sympathy theme, there are two sympathy themed stamp sets and 2 word die sets.

I have created a Z Fold Card using Divinity Designs Z Fold with Layers die set. For each of the layers on this card I added papers from the Beauty in Blooms 6 x 6 Patterned Paper Pad.

I used the Slimline With Sympathy and Layers die set which I added to the front of the card. I die cut the letters from bright pink cardstock and then die cut the shadow dies from vellum.

On the centre panel I added a cross using the Layering Crosses die set which is one of the die sets from the February/March Release.

On the far right panel I added a sentiment from the 'Sorry for your Loss" stamp set. I layered this using the Double Stitched Circles and Circles die set. I then used the Spiral Sphere die for the bottom layer, this is another die included in the Blessings Box.

I added the cross again on the centre panel on the back of my card, placing it a little higher on my card, so it could be seen when the card is closed.

On the back of the front panel, I added another sentiment from the "Sorry for your Loss" stamp set, using the Double Stitched Circles and Circles die sets for layering.

Deepest Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a sympathy card to share with you today, using stamps, dies and papers from Divinity Designs January Blessings Box. I had recently been searching for some new sympathy stamps/dies, so I was looking forward to receiving this blessings box.

For my card today I used the Mandala Petal Background die set to create the background and also the label for the sentiment. I used one of the patterned papers from Beauty in Bloom Paper Pad which is a 6 x 6 paper pad. I just love all the papers in the collection.

I used Divinity Designs A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer and the Matting Rectangle die sets to layer my background layer to my card.

I added a sympathy sentiment from the new Sorry for your Loss stamp set.

To decorate my card I used the flower from the Pretty Posies die set and the leaves from the Bitty Blossoms die set.

To finish off the card I added a few pearls to the centre of the flowers and around the edge surrounding the label.

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of the patterned paper along the left edge of the card. I stamped a sentiment from the Sorry For Your Loss stamp set onto white cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment using the labels die included in the Mandala Petals Frames die set.

Thinking of You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Slimline card I created recently using some floral stamps, stencils and die combo set from Pinkfresh Studio.

I am loving  all the floral sets from Pinkfresh Studio that includes the option to purchase stamps, dies, stencil and hot foil stamps that all coordinate together. The make quick work of adding color to your images. For this card I used the Garden Roses stamp, die and stencil sets.

For the background, I used Spellbinders Slimline Big Dots Embossing Folder which I embossed onto white cardstock and then adhered to my top folding slimline card that measures 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches.

I stamped and colored the roses twice onto white cardstock and then arranged them onto my Slimline background panel.

For the sentiment I used Honey Bee Stamps Thinking of You Big Time stamp set with coordinating die. I need to build up my stash of sympathy cards, which is what I will use this card for.

For the inside of my card, I added the "with Sympathy" sentiment using the word die from Karen Burniston.

I added a couple of left over roses along both sides of my card.

You're in my Thoughts

Hi Crafty Friends,

Back in November, I needed a couple of sympathy cards fairly quickly. This is one of the cards I created. As I had so many Christmas cards to post in November and December, I decided to hold off posting this  until now.

The flowers are from Divinity Designs Beautiful Blossoms Paper/Die Duos Set 3 which was included in the April 2021 Blessings Box. These flowers are all pre-colored and come with a die to die cut all the images so you can use them however you want to decorate your cards. Being pre-colored it makes it so much quicker to use to create a card in a hurry.

For the background of my card I used Catherine Pooler's Quilted Cover Plate. I die cut this from white cardstock and then layered onto a green panel and then finally onto a top folding pink card base.

The sentiments stamped onto my card are from Altenew's In My Thoughts stamp set.

For the inside of my card I added another of the flowers that I used on the front of the card.

The "With Sympathy" is from Karen Burniston's With Sympathy die set.
