Hugs to you all! I seem to have acquired a few "hug" themed stamps and dies recently. So I pulled a few out today to make this cute bear hugs 5 x 7 card.
First up, the bears are from Waffle Flower Crafts Intertwined Bear Hugs. They are meant to create a gatefold card with the bears as the front sides of the card. But I decided to use them on this card just as stand alone bears.
I also used Penny Black's Hugs Edger die set to create the hugs border along the bottom section of the card.
I did buy a few new hugs themed sentiments stamp sets too, but I ended up pulling up an older Waffle Flower Stamp set called Group Hug to add the rest of the sentiment.
For the sentiment on the inside of the card, I combined two sentiments ... both from the Retro Hugs stamp set.
I also added a flower from the Intertwined Bear Hugs die set.

Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing two Money Cards I created as Valentine gifts for my Grandchildren.
At the beginning of December, MFT Stamps released a Christmas Cash Card Kit which included stamps and dies to create money holders. The stamps and dies available allow you to make holders to use with either notes or gift cards. Of course just before Christmas there was a Christmas theme, but these can be used for so many occasions including birthday, tooth fairy, gas money, coffee etc. As I sometimes give money for birthday gifts it was definitely something I needed to add to my stash.
My first money holder is for my granddaughter. I used an older Penny Black stamp set to help decorate the money holder. The "I Heart You" sentiment was included in the Penny Black stamp set, The other sentiment is from MFT Stamps Giftable Greetings stamp set.
The money is rolled up and fits into a lip balm holder.
For the money holder for my grandson, I pulled out Concord & 9th's Monster Love stamp set. I also added the "Love You" sentiment included in the stamp set.
The papers used on this money holder is from Whimsy Stamps' Rainbows Paper Pad.
For the back of the money holders I added a heart, using Creative Craft Products Torn Nested Hearts die set. I added two sentiments to the heart both of which are from Divinity Designs Fill My Heart Stamp set.
At the bottom of the back of the money holder, there is a slit so that the money can be removed without ruining the money holder.
Today I am sharing a birthday themed Slimline card.
To create my card I used Whimsy Stamps Slimline Clouds die set. For the background panel behind the clouds I used Distress Oxide inks in Broken China, Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet to add color to a white panel of cardstock. I spritzed the panel with water before adhering the two together. This panel was then adhered to a side folding Slimline card that measures 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches.
I added the cute dog holding the balloons which is from Penny Black's So Much Love stamp set.
I added birthday sentiments using stamps from Honey Bee Stamps Stellar Sentiments stamp set.
To finish off the card I added clear crystals to the background area of the card.
For the inside of the card I created another panel using the same inks as I used on the front of the card. This was layered behind a scalloped rectangle frame using Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Stitched Scalloped Rectangles die set.
I added a sentiment from Unity Stamps Hugs, Kisses and Birthday Wishes stamp set.
Unfortunately I recently needed a Sympathy card, and as it has been a while since I have made one and didn't have any in my stash ... I had to make one.
I created a Slimline card using a Slimline die set from Studio Katia. One of my two favorite stamps for sympathy cards are this Penny Black rose image and the Paper Inspirations Sympathy sentiment which I pulled out to make my card today.
I stamped the rose onto white cardstock using two different colored inks and then stamped the sentiment over the image. I then die cut the panel using the elongated oval included in the Studio Katia slimline die set.
For the inside of the card I used the inner green oval which was left over after die cutting the thin green oval frame for the front of the card. I used Honey Bee Stamps With Sympathy Stamp set and coordinating dies to add the sentiment.
I also added a few pink flowers around the oval.

As you can see I have another Slimline card to share with you today. I know I have posted others over the past two days ... don't be surprised if this week becomes "Slimline" week here on my blog as I am having too much fun playing with all my new Slimline dies.
For my card today I pulled out another new Slimline die from PinkFresh Studio, this one uses the Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set, and I love the diagonal stitched which is on two of the rectangle dies included in this die set. This card is another that is 4 inches x 9 inches, however if you omitted the white border on this card you could make it 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches. Now I have the larger envelopes coming that these cards will fit into, I don't mind the larger size.
To decorate my card I used this cute bear from Penny Black Stamps "Furry Smiles"
I wanted a large, bold sentiment for the top of the card so I used Hello Bluebirds "Wild About You" die set and then added a birthday sentiment under that using MFT Stamps Bitty Birthday Sentiments.
For the inside of my card I used another of the PinkFresh Studio Slim dies ... Slim Ornate Banner dies. I then added a birthday sentiment from an older Kaisercraft stamp set.

It's been a while since I created a Reveal Wheel card, so when Lawn Fawn released a few stamps and die that would work with the Reveal Wheel dies I of course had to add them to my stash!

To create the background of my card I used Honey Bee Stamps Perfect Bricks stencil. I think this is definitely my new favorite brick stencil to use. I used blending brushes to add Rusty Hinge Distress Oxide inks to my background.
I die cut the stencilled background using Lawn Fawn's Reveal Wheel die.
I also created a thinner piece of stencilled bricks to go on the side of the card under the half circle for when the card was put together.
To decorate my card I used stamps from Lawn Fawn's You're Just My Type, Love Poems and Elphie Selfie.
I had planned to put the mouse that is on the floor sitting at the typewriter, but as I had stamped the smiley face on the typewriter and you couldn't see this with the mouse sitting at the typewriter, I decided to move it to the floor.
The larger "mouse" themed sentiment is from an older Penny Black stamp I have had in my stash for years.
Here is a look at each of the 4 messages which are revealed when you turn the wheel at the side of the card.
I used papers from Lawn Fawn's Spring Fling Paper Pad to add to the card base, before adhering the Reveal Wheel portion of the card.
For the inside of the card I used a rectangle die from Heffy Doodle's Imperial Stitched Rectangles die set. I added the left over patterned paper that I used on the front along the bottom of this panel.
I splattered blue pearl paint over the white portion of the card.
I added the typewriter with paper to my card and then the little mouse sitting at the typewriter. I also added another of the sentiments from the stamp sets.
To finish off the inside of my card, I added another "mousey" themed birthday sentiment, again from Penny Black.

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our challenge hostess for October which is Tracey Farr.
For our challenge this week we are to ....Focus on the Sentiment - make your sentiment the star of your card, the bigger the better!
I figured this was a good opportunity to play with my Spellbinders Joy die set I purchased a few weeks ago. I die cut the base of the sentiment from green cardstock and then cut the letters out using Elizabeth Craft Designs Solar Gold Silk Microfine Glitter. I then added the flowers and berries using colored cardstocks.
I used Altenew's Candy Cane Stripe Cover Plate for the background of my card, layering this onto red cardstock.
To finish off the front of my card I added the "Merry and Bright" sentiment which is from Holiday Sentiments Glimmer Plate and gold foil.
For the inside of my card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set. I gold embossed the sentiment which is a Penny Black stamp set.
I added the poinsettia to the upper left corner of the label which was created using the poinsettia dies included in Spellbinders Ornament die set.
Along the edges of my card I added the Candy Cane Stripes Cover Plate which I die cut from white cardstock and cut in half, adhering half on each edge. I then added the Pine Needles Border die which is an older die from Memory Box.

Being the third Saturday of the month, it's time for a sketch challenge.
For my card today I pulled out a Penny Black stamp I purchased a month or two ago. I just loved this cute little bear and thought it was about time I used it. As Mother's Day was only last weekend, I decided to take the opportunity to add another Mother's Day card to my stash, I always need a few of these so my daughters both have enough for their needs.
For the inside of my card I decided to create a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Rockin' Rectangle Pop-up die set, substituting the rectangle for a circle.
I used the leftover triangles of cardstock that i had from creating the front of the card on the inside.
I also added another bear, this time from a MFT Stamp stamp set on the upright section of the pop-up arm.

Last week I shared two Father's Day cards I created using the Concord & 9th Marbled Turnabout stamp set. Today I have a Mother's Day card using the same stamp set.
For this card I again used Distress Oxide inks to stamp the Turnabout stamp, the colors used are Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, Warm Lipstick, Candied Apple.
As I had recently received the Best Parents stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps I decided to take the opportunity to make a Mother's Day card, having two daughters one with children I normally have a few Mother's Day cards I need to make each year.
For this card I used the cute Penny Black Happy Heart Day stamp set, this is a Valentine themed stamp set but I thought it would also work for Mother's Day.
In Australia we refer to mother's as mum rather than mom as they do in the USA .... the stamp set being from the US ... said "Mom" .... I decided to give my stamp a little surgery so I could use it for my cards so it says the correct word for me. I probably could have trimmed a little more to change the o to a u ... but I didn't want to risk ruining the stamp so I am happy they way it is now.
For the inside of the card I used the negative piece of marbled cardstock that was left over from die cutting the panel on the front. I also added a sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps stamp set.
