It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As I am the challenge hostess for March, I continue to issue the challenges.
Did you know that March was National Umbrella Month. This marvelous invention which helps prevent us from getting wet on those rainy days or can keep us sheltered from that sun was invented over four thousand years ago … wow! Let's celebrate the umbrella this week by including one on our cards … it could be an umbrella to stop the rain, parasol or beach umbrella.
For my card today I decided to play with the Hanging Charm Pull Tab Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I love that you can make your card whatever size you like using this die set, this time round I decided to go with a wider card.
I seem to have acquired a few images that feature an umbrella lately, so it was a bit of a toss up with which image to use but in the end I decided to go with these cute cards as I thought their umbrella was the easiest to get to match the umbrellas on the designer paper which I found at my local store recently.
I added Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter to my heart which I have hung from the frame.
Here is another look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.
I opted to keep my card as a "flat card" rather than one with a fold, so I decorated the back of the card so I had somewhere to add a personal greeting when needed.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
