Big Hello Square Post

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I have another postage themed card to share. This one uses Spellbinders 3D Embossing Folder for April 25. I love the details in this folder.

I cut a square piece of black card which I embossed with the embossing folder. I then carefully applied gold metallic ink from Lisa Horton to the raised areas.

I die cut 2 pieces of white cardstock using an  square postage die from an old Elizabeth Craft Designs Lake Scene die set which I made into my card base.

I added a sentiment using the Glummer Plate of the Month for April 25, which is foiled using good glimmer foil.

I cut apart another embossed panel, so I could add the two “postage stamps”. I also added a sentiment from the Clear Stamp of the Month.

Let's Celebrate You

Hi Crafty Friends!

Happy New Year to you all, I hope 2025 is good for us all!

For my card today I am sharing a Triple Tier Slider card, I have made a few of these over the years, but I love having a die set that cuts everything out for you. This is a 5 x 7 inch card and uses Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott’s Triple Tier Slider die set which was released a while back by Craft Stash.

To decorate the main panel of my card, I used the cute mouse & boot which are two die sets from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

When you pull the tab that is showing at the top of the card it reveals a sentiment. This is also from Made To Surprise.

Pulling the tab at the top once more reveals another panel that contains a birthday sentiment which is from the same stamp set.

To finish the card, I added the ‘eek’ word three times randomly around the mouse.

Banana Swing Boat Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a fun kinetic card I created recently.

This card uses the Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Swing Boat die set which is part of her Fun at the Fair Collection. A little while before Christmas, Sam Calcott did a Facebook live where she made a Christmas themed card using this die set. During the live Benita Lundgren mentioned that she had made the swing boat into a Banana Boat, this sounded interesting so I decided that I would make my version of this eventually.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

I wanted a monkey that I could put in different positions on my card and wasn't either too big or small. I used the Monkey die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, the banana die is also included in this die set.

I added the palm tree branches to the top of the card, so it did look like the swing was in a banana tree.

Here is a view of the back of my card. I used the "It's your Birthday" sentiment from a sentiment set from Made To Surprise Terrific Towers Collection. I then added the "Go Bananas" using Karen Burniston's Mini Alphabet and Numbers die set.

Fa-Boo-Lous Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Happy Halloween, today I am sharing a Halloween themed birthday card I created recently using mostly products from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Turn and Reveal Collection.

As this is a birthday card for my daughter who was born before Halloween I decided to use ghosts on my card rather than a witch, vampire or bats which are included in Sam's collection. I know my daughter is happy getting a Halloween themed card, but decided to play safe. The ghosts are from an older die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs which is no longer available.

Here is a quick video to show my card in action.

For my card today I created a Turn and Reveal Card using Sam's Turn and Reveal die set which was released in August. I also used dies from the Easy Edges and Halloween Icons die sets, as well as stamps from the Spooky Fun, Haunting Times and Halloween Sentiments stamp/die sets.

I added Elizabeth Craft Designs Black Glitter to the haunted house to help make it stand out a little from the black grass area on the bottom of the card. I also die cut the trees using the Easy Edges die set to add along the front of the acetate panel at the top of the card.

For the inside of the card, I added another of the Halloween themed sentiments included in the Halloween Sentients stamp set. I also added the Happy Birthday from Honey Bee Stamps Gear Up stamp set.

I stamped the two bats from the Haunting Times stamp/die set to finish off my card.

I Sea

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Apparently today, October 13 is the birthday of the U.S. Navy. To celebrate the men and women who have served in the navy since its inception, create a card with a nautical theme.

For my card today, I have created a pull card using Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Everyday Pop Up die set. When I first planned this card, I was going to put the yacht in the lower portion of the card with a whale or dolphin popping up, but they were to big in relation to the yacht that I had to go to plan b.

For the sea creatures etc I used stamps and dies also from Made to Surprise, I have listed what I used in the supply list below.

When you pull the tab at the top of the card, it reveals the yacht sailing on the waves. The yacht is an older die from Elizabeth Craft Designs. As the yacht is made of die cut pieces I decided to adhere it to a piece of acetate which I then cut around the outline of the yacht, this. gives the yacht some strength and prevents it from being caught when it is pulled up and down in the card.

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of blue card along the bottom of the card which has been die cut using the wave die included in the yacht die set. I then added the whale and another stamped sentiment, both of which are also from Made To Surprise.

Monster Hugs

Hi Crafty Friends,

Thanks for visiting my blog. Today I am sharing a Wiper Card that I created recently.

It's actually been a couple of years since I have made this style of card, so it was fun to get to make this one.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

To create the Wiper Card part of this card I used Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's 5 x 7 Wiper Card die set. This die set includes all the dies needed to create the Wiper Card base, including the layers and wiper mechanism etc. There are three different versions of this die for different sizes which I have linked in my supply list below.

To decorate my card I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Monster Collection which was designed by Joset Designs. I die cut the monsters using various rainbow colours ... four seen from the front and one on the back.

When you pull the sides of the card, it reveals the red monster that is holding a cookie. The monster is attached to a clear acetate wiper mechanism using one of the dies included in the Wiper Card die set.

I have added a white panel to the back of the card, so that I could add a sentiment and write a personal greeting to whoever ends up receiving this. I also added one more of the cute monsters to the panel.

Monster Hugs

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Kelly Santi our challenge hostess of the month continues to issue the challenges.

Apparently today is International Dot Day - show us your cards with a circle, polka dots or anything round!

For a card today I have been playing with the new flip card die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs called Birthday Flip Card which was released a couple of month ago. This die set makes a card which measures 5 1/2 inches x 4 1/4 inches when closed. As I wanted to use the Happy Birthday die included in the set I made my card in landscape orientation.

For the challenge portion of the card, I used polka dot paper using the larger dots for the layers and the smaller dots on the reverse side of the paper for the lettering of the sentiment. The cookies are also close to round,

When you open the card, it reveals a monster surrounded by cookies using the Monster 1 die set.

Here is another view of my card, I added the "Monster Hugs" sentiment using one of the stamps included in the Monster Hugs stamp set.

Here is another view of my card when it is open, this time around I lifted the back border up to surround the image.

Mr & Mr Wedding Accordion Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I was recently asked if I would make a Mr & Mr Wedding Card, which I was happy to do.

One of my favourite styles of cards for weddings is Accordion Cards, and as I wanted to fit the long sentiment and the two Tuxedo Jackets onto my card, I opted to pull out an older Accordion Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. This die set has long been discontinued, but it is still a favourite of mine. I used the Oval Accordion and Oval Flourish Frame Edges die sets to create the base for this card.

If in doubt of what colours to use on my wedding card, you can never go wrong with black & white and I thought it would work very well for this card.

The first oval panel of my card can be view from the front and also when the card was opened. I used Spellbinders Paper Arts Wedding Dress & Tux die set to create the Tuxedo jackets.

The sentiment on the centre oval is an older sentiment which I love and is from Paper Inspirations, called Marriage Calligraphy.

For the last oval I added the "Mr & Mr" die cut sentiment which is from another Spellbinders die set called Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Cake, this set seems to be discontinued even though it was only released a few years ago.

I don't normally decorate the back of an accordion card, as there is enough happening on the front of the card, however for weddings I often do.

On the far left oval I added the "Congratulations" sentiment from The Rabbit Hole Designs Happily Ever After stamp set.

The "love" die cut on the centre oval is from the True Love die set designed by ModaScrap for Elizabeth Craft Designs, this is also another older die set from my stash.

Finally I used the "Wishing You A Lifetime" sentiment from Craft Desert Divas' Hitched stamped set, this company closed a few years ago.

Here is the front of my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Gnome Way Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a fun gnome themed Slimline card to share with you today, using dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

My Slimline card measures 4 inches x 8 1/2 inches card to allow for the height of the gnomes.

To create the sky and grass, I used papers from Lawn Fawn's Watercolor Wishes 12 x 12 Paper.

I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Gnomes and Forest Accessories die sets to create my scene.

For the sentiment I used a gnome themed sentiment using an older Hunkydory stamp set.

For the inside of my card, I added another gnome using the Gnomes die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I also added two sentiments using a stamp set from MFT Stamps.
