Hi everyone,
It’s time for another MFT Stamps Creative Challenge. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, Joanne has challenged us to give to use paint in our card/projects. Visit Kim's Blog, for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!
Now I have tons of paints sitting in drawers which I haven’t used in years …. and when I first read this challenge I thought eeek!!!!!!!! But after thinking about it for a while, I remembered all the wooden pieces I have sitting in another drawer so went exploring and found this oval plaque.
First up I painted it using blue paint and once that was dry I used a splatter tool and some white paint which I added over the blue paint, basically to give it a look of clouds in the sky. After that was dry I then used some yellow paint to the bottom part of my plaque to look like sand. All the paints used here are acrylic paints.
I stamped Sunbathing Flopsey onto some white card, colored and cut it out and added it to my plaque using foam tape. The sentiment also from this set was stamped direct to my plaque using black ink.
Finally I used the MFT Die-namics Sunshine die which I cut out from yellow card. I added a big yellow button to the centre which I threaded using Lemondrop Yellow Twine.
