Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our hostess for June Kathy Bradley, continues with the challenges.
Kathy has challenged us to Let’s make the dreaded “masculine” card. (Kathy’s words )
I don’t dread making masculine cards, but I must admit that I make more cards for women/girls then I do for males/boys, but I think that is mainly because there is just so much more out there for women/girls. I have actually made quiet a few male cards this past week, with at least one more to come yet later this week.
Anyone onto todays card. I used a stamp set from Taylored Expression’s that I purchased recently. I know a couple of males who love to BBQ!
I have turned this into a birthday card by adding a birthday sentiment on the inside. I have also added the little hat which comes in the set I used on the front of my card. I know my DH has quiet a collection of these hats.
Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
Stamps: Bobby – Taylored Expressions; Birthday Sentiment – Stamp It (Australia) |
Paper: White; Black; Blue; A Boy’s Life DP – Echo Park |
Other: Black Ink; Black Twine; Button; Spatula Button; Foam Tape; Copics |

Great card, Frances. Love that griller, but he better keep a close eye on the steak!
Yep, grilling is a masculine thing. Love your little guy and awesome coloring, Frances.
Love the card. What is the stamp you used on the inside? Or did you do it on the computer - I'd love to know the font used.

LOVE this Frances!!! You work magic with these TE stamps! That little spatula is SO cute!
My hubby would love this card..so do I..and it is great for the masculine folks. The spatula is too cute and the perfect finishing touch.
That button is just the cutest with that adorable image!!
What a great calligraphy style sentiment. OK, I know we should be focussing on the front of the card, which is certainly perfect for the challenge. And while I'm the griller in our family, it's certainly true that it's perfect for guys. My BIL was the chef at a family BBQ over the weekend.
So cute, love the paper pieced apron.
Cute card, Hootsie! I like his paper-pieced apron, too.
Frances,
