Hi everyone,
The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create a custom banner using our assortment of STAX Banner Die-namics. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a project to share with you today.
I have to admit I haven’t made a banner before, I am not sure why because I had fun creating this one. As my Granddaughter is due anytime in the next couple of weeks I thought I would create a banner which has her name on it which can be hung somewhere in her room.
At this time the babies name still hasn’t been decided, my son in law isn’t in a hurry to agree to a name yet LOL. They have picked the middle name, she will share my middle name which I am thrilled about. So for my banner I selected one of the names my daughter had on her short list. I have only temporarily attached the letters to my banner so that if the name changes to the one I have used here I can easily cut some more letters and fix the banner so it has the correct name. Hopefully whatever name they decide I hope they don’t pick one with more than 8 letters as I only have enough designer paper left to make one for tag to my banner.
Here is a close up of my tags I used to create my banner. The base of each tag uses the Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX . The rosette under each letter was created using the Die-namics 1/4" Rosette die. I used the Die-namics Mini Doily Circles to layer the letters of the name. And the letters were created using the Die-namics By the Letters Uppercase.
For the base of my banner I used Bubblegum card and the letters were created using Razzle Berry card.
Each tag is thread through a length of Bubblegum Ribbon. Between each tag I added a Razzle Berry Button which is thread using Blossom Twine onto the ribbon.
And my final tag of my banner. I hope you enjoyed my banner as much as I enjoyed creating it, I hope my Granddaughter will like it .
Here are the Die-namics I used on my banner:
