Hi everyone,
Welcome to day two of the Cornish Heritage Farms/ Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Blog Hop. Cornish Heritage Farms and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft designers have teamed up for a fabulous blog hop from February 25th to 28th! Come join us each day for some fun inspiration using products from each company.
Two lucky winners will win a $50 prize pack.
Here’s how you can win this:
1. You have until midnight EST on February 28th to complete the hop.
2. Cornish Heritage Farms Rubber Stamps and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft will have a new craft to share with you every day. Visit their blogs and leave a comment on each post. This way, we’ll know you were there.
3. Have fun! We look forward to seeing your comments.
It’s also challenge day for the Cornish Heritage Farms design team, and this week our hostess is Cindy Haffner who has challenged us to include doilies on our card/project.
Today I have two canvases to share with you, the canvases each measure 4 inches x 4 inches. I have had these canvases for I don’t know how long and haven’t used them and I thought it was about time I did.
For my first canvas above I used stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms Haute Couture and Antiques.
I have been having so much fun playing with the Faber-Castell Gelatos for this blog hop and that is what I have used on everything on this canvas today. It is amazing what you can do with the gelatos.
First up I used the Guava & Bubblegum from the Red Gelatos pack to color the canvas … this was just a matter of randomly apply some of each color on the canvas and then blending this all together using my finger. The doily on the left side of the canvas was also colored using the Guava Gelato and then blended with my finger. I colored the outfits of the girls using gelatos from the Red pack (guava, lavender and bubblegum) and Grape from the Blue pack. I used the Red Cherry gelato also from the Red pack to stamp one of the elements from the Haute Couture directly onto the canvas. The flowers are also colored using the gelatos …. I scribbled a little onto my craft mat and added a little water and then dipped the flowers through the mixture.

Other: Red Gelatos; Blue Gelatos (Faber-Castell); Couture Creations Blossom Yarn Doily; Canvas |
For my second Canvas today I used Cornish Heritage Farms Cat in a Flowerpot Digital Stamp. I colored the image using a green Aquarelle pencil from the Mixed Media Aquarelle & Ink: GREEN set and Bubblegum and Cherry Red Gelatos from the Gelatos red pack.
For the canvas I created the grass and sky again using Gelatos …. loving those Gelatos! For the Grass I applied Pistachio and Green Tea from the Gelato green pack and blended these together. The sky I applied mostly Cotton Candy and a little Blueberry from the Gelatos Blue Pack. For the clouds I used the negative portion of a cloud die and added Picket White Distress Stain … however I would have preferred to use the white gelato which is also available but I didn’t have … I have one ordered and on it’s way .

I don't have a cat but if I did I'd hope he'd look like this one. I love the flappers. Great job with both projects.
